Chapter 393: Chapter 6 A Real Man_1

The big snake seemed very angry as well, spraying poison haphazardly all around!

However, Qin Shou couldn’t help but find it odd—despite the snake’s fiery assaults, it always sprayed wildly and inaccurately. Paired with the agility of Women Country’s people, dodging nimbly like monkeys, the snake didn’t manage to poison a single one and wasted a good deal of venom! Its countenance even turned a shade paler.

Thinking about it, Qin Shou began to suspect that this creature was some kind of plaster sculpture!

The big snake appeared to realize that spraying poison was ineffective, so it simply started running without a care.

Seeing this, Qin Shou hurriedly gave chase, picked up a bell tower, and was about to smash it down!

But Queen Baili cried out, "Stop! There are many civilians in the city, they could be injured by accident! Wait until it leaves the city before you strike."

Qin Shou thought it made sense, so he just watched from above, waiting...

The more he watched, the more he realized something was off about the snake. It seemed to have really poor eyesight; crashing into fragile wooden houses was one thing, but then it went and smashed headfirst into the thick city walls!

The ground shook and the city walls collapsed, with the big snake howling in pain, then rolling and crawling out of the city.

Qin Shou could finally see clearly that the snake actually had no tongue—it was no wonder it was practically blind!

Considering this, Qin Shou couldn’t help but wonder, what was so attractive about the treasury of a regular kingdom that would obsess a sight-impaired demon like this big snake so much.

Once the big snake reached an open area, Qin Shou bellowed, "You little loach! Halt for me, I say!"

The snake turned back again, and Qin Shou saw its big eyes whirl around frantically. After a long gaze, it started furiously spraying poison into the air...

Qin Shou looked down at this scene, and then turned to the queen, saying, "Aren’t we kind of bullying a disabled snake here?"

The queen said, "Maybe... but it bullied the weak and stole our things. It’s worse."

Qin Shou said, "You’ve got a point!"

Then he charged forward with the bell tower in hand!

The big snake seemed to sense the threat and suddenly turned back, opening its mouth to spray poison!

But once again, it hit nothing but air!

Everyone watching shook their heads collectively—they could see clearly that the Rabbit had dodged to the right, while the snake was fiercely spraying to the left... the ground was being corroded into a pit, and it was still spraying!

Qin Shou stood watching on the side for a while, nearly pitying the creature before laying a hand on him.

In the end, he still grabbed the snake’s head and, before it could react, stuffed the bell tower into the snake’s mouth, clogging it thoroughly.

The big snake’s eyes bulged with disbelief, as if to say, "You’ve been doused with so much poison, how are you not dead?!"

Hearing this, Qin Shou rolled his eyes and cursed, "Damn, not only is this one blind, it’s also a fool!"

Qin Shou then knocked the big snake out with a slap and pulled off the treasury that was coiled around the snake’s tail, handing it to Queen Baili. Afterwards, he turned to Shangguan Hongye and asked, "Hey, beauty, do you have a big pot here? One big enough to stew this snake?"

Shangguan Hongye shook her head, but still said, "We don’t have a pot, but how about a barbecue grill?"

Qin Shou was stunned—did they actually have one?

The scene changed, and a big snake was tightly bound onto an exceedingly long log!

Beneath it was a bonfire blazing fiercely, shooting sparks and crackling wood into the air.

On a golden chair beside me, a rabbit was sitting contentedly, while Queen Baili occupied an even more luxurious chair inlaid with gold and jade, decorated with tiger skins—clearly a notch above the nouveau riche, parvenu-style chair of the rabbit alongside.

In response, Qin Shou looked up with scorn and addressed Queen Baili, "Poor Queen..."

He said this seeking solace for his own lack of artistic sensibility and wounded pride.

Shangguan Hongye stood by the Queen’s side and explained, "This giant wooden roasting rack was found in a Giant’s lair when our ancestors slayed one. It hasn’t been used for many years, and I never thought it would come in handy today."

Qin Shou, surprised, asked, "You’ve killed Giants too?"

Queen Baili’s pretty face, whether flushed from anger or the heat of the fire, glowed red as she replied, "Don’t underestimate us; our ancestors were Qi Refiners with high cultivation bases."

Qin Shou looked at Queen Baili skeptically and asked, "How high?"

Queen Baili stood up, raised her hands high above her head, and said somewhat endearingly, "This high!"

Qin Shou also jumped down to the ground and measured his own height of about one meter, asking, "Taller than me?"

Queen Baili’s cheeks turned even redder, and she lowered her hand to the height of the rabbit’s eyes, saying, "About this tall, I guess."

When Queen Baili bent over, a black hole appeared before Qin Shou, revealing a vast universe within, with undulating mountains and deep valleys. For a moment, he found his gaze transfixed.

It wasn’t really fair to call the rabbit lustful, mainly because the poor creature had truly been starved for many years. Without anything to see or fantasize about, it would have been fine, but suddenly sensing the smell of meat, his spirit was crying no, but his body was brutally honest.

So the rabbit obediently returned to his chair, lying down with a sigh under the covers and lamented, "I still stand a head taller."

Queen Baili, oblivious to the rabbit’s thoughts, also returned to her chair and said, "It’s a pity, the lineage was broken later. By the way, Rabbit, are you going to roast the snake just like that, without first dealing with its scales and such?"

Qin Shou waved his hand and said, "It’s not time to eat yet."

As he spoke, Qin Shou gestured with his hand and a jet of water sprayed from his palm onto the snake’s face, like a high-pressure water gun.

The big snake jolted awake, its large eyes darting around wildly before it shouted at the ground, "Let me go!"

Qin Shou and the others shook their heads, puzzled how such a dimwitted snake could have lived so long and achieved cultivation—it’s truly a miracle among demons!

Qin Shou asked jokingly, "Hey, little mudfish, stop squirming. Keep it up, and we’ll roast you!"

"With just this little fire?" the big snake replied disdainfully as it continued to struggle vigorously.

Alas, the roasting rack—designed for a Giant’s feasts—was accustomed to the likes of large snakes and birds, with its thongs also tempered and incredibly resilient. No matter how the snake writhed, it couldn’t break free.

Qin Shou smirked and, with a wave of his hand, shot out a flame that set the pile of wood ablaze. The previously tame fire suddenly erupted, shooting flames over three meters high!

And then, the scent of roasting meat filled the air...

At the same time, the big snake defiantly cried out, "Is that all you’ve got? Show me something fiercer!"

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou paused and with a heh remarked, "I didn’t expect this snake to have such a strong spirit. Pretty tough!"

Shangguan Hongye nodded in approval, saying, "Its scales have been roasted off, its flesh is cooked, and yet it remains unmoved. Indeed remarkable."

Queen Baili also nodded and added, "What a man!"

No sooner had she spoken than the snake began to sniff, and then it exclaimed in admiration, "That smells delicious... What is that?"
