Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 88: The Interrogation
Aiden’s expression changed. "That’s impossible. I know him too well. He would definitely leave the company seal here. Sophia, don’t try to fool me."
"Uncle, I’ve said everything I needed to say. If you don’t believe me, feel free to search for it now. But you won’t search and just keep denying me. Shouldn’t you be blaming yourself for that?"
"Sophia!"
"Aiden!"
Sophia’s voice was louder than his. "I’ve been nice calling you ’uncle’ out of respect for Lucas, but you know in your heart whether you truly deserve that title! If you want to keep being stubborn, go ahead and try! I, Sophia, have never been afraid of anyone in my life! Besides, when you beat a dog, you have to see the owner. Alex has been authorized by Lucas to act on his behalf and handle company matters! You don’t even know what respect is, and you’re making things difficult for me. Do you want me to have you thrown out of here?"
Aiden froze. For a moment, he was stunned by the force of the woman’s gaze!
"You..."
"You what? If you don’t have anything else to say, just leave!"
Aiden choked on his words, forcing them out with difficulty. "I’m on the board of directors!"
"Lucas is the CEO of Hilton Group, and I’m his wife. You don’t like that? Want to test it?"
Today, Aiden had lost. In front of Sophia, he couldn’t even come up with a single rebuttal.
"Uncle, the door’s over there. If you want to keep making trouble, the security downstairs will stop you from coming in anytime."
Aiden snorted, slamming his hands down on the armrests of the chair.
"Sophia! You’ll regret this!" 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Don’t worry, I’ll be waiting for you in the company."
As she watched Aiden leave, she suddenly added, "Uncle, I hope you remember, Lucas has the ability to remove you from the company!"
Aiden’s back stiffened.
She was threatening him.
Wasn’t it supposed to be the other way around?
How had it turned around like this?
Lucas had left, but he had left a woman behind who not only kept his secretary but now had another person threatening him.
He had come to get Lucas’s seal today, but now he had nothing and had instead been the butt of the joke.
He would pay Sophia back for this humiliation later. Sophia, you probably never thought of this, but I have more than one card up my sleeve!
As he walked away, Alex frowned slightly. "You just lied to him."
"If I didn’t lie to him, would he have left this easily today? You’re Lucas’s secretary, you should learn a thing or two. When it’s crucial, you absolutely cannot be short on methods."
She knew Alex understood. In fact, he probably had more knowledge than she did.
But because of Aiden’s position, he couldn’t step in, so she had used her status as Lucas’s wife to shut Aiden down.
"The Hilton CEO’s seal is in the office, right?" Alex asked with a slight tone of doubt.
Just as Sophia was about to answer, she felt a shift inside her. This question wasn’t as direct as before.
Lucas had left the seal at the company. If he truly wanted Alex to represent him and have full rights, he would certainly know where the seal was.
Yet now Alex was asking her where it was, as if he was probing.
She tilted her head and replied, "Don’t you know?"
Alex smiled. "Miss Morgan, I’m just worried Aiden might try to make a comeback. As long as the seal is fine, it doesn’t matter where it is, as long as it stays hidden. Even though Mr. Hilton left me in charge of handling all company matters, most of the work has already been taken care of. It’s just about the contract processes, and with the contract supervisors in place, they’re already managing the flow."
In other words, leaving Alex behind was really just for him to keep an eye on things—he didn’t have much other responsibility.
"I see. I came to the office on a whim today. The last few days were peaceful, and no one caused any trouble, but today, just my luck, I ran into something. If anything else comes up, feel free to ask me. Though I’m not Lucas and don’t know much about how the company operates, I can at least understand some of it. I can still offer advice, if needed."
"I understand."
"If anyone else causes trouble, just have the security handle it. Don’t worry about any negative fallout. If anyone insists on forcing their way in, don’t hesitate."
Sophia stood up. She couldn’t stay here long; she had her own things to take care of. With Lucas gone, it was time to wrap up her plans.
As for certain people—well, the Wright family should be arriving soon, just as expected.
"Miss Morgan, where are you going?"
"People don’t get to ask me where I’m going while I’m doing my work."
Sophia walked out confidently. She felt something was off with Alex—he wasn’t acting like just a helper at the company. His actions seemed to be more than that after Lucas left.
Of course, she hoped it was all just her imagination.
After leaving the company, Sophia noticed a group of determined people walking toward her.
She smiled slightly. Looks like her assumptions were correct.
"Old Mr. Wright, what brings you here?"
She feigned surprise, playing innocent.
Eugene was the first to approach, his expression full of anger.
"Miss Morgan! I was originally attracted by your Luna identity, so I wanted to collaborate with you, but instead, you’ve repeatedly poached key people from my company! You owe me an explanation. At the very least, I need to know if you’re targeting Wright Group as a whole, or if it’s something personal!"
"Old Mr. Wright, you’re being a bit ridiculous. When someone does something to you, do you ask them why they did it? If they don’t tell you, would you still disagree? If you disagree, then what’s the point of doing it or not?"
Eugene was about to lose his temper. The girl in front of him was nothing like he’d imagined.
Her approach was ruthless—she started by breaking down the company from within, taking away important staff members, and striking one blow after another.
Was she targeting Wright Group as a whole, or someone specific inside it?
If it was a person, it had to be someone high up, or she wouldn’t be so aggressive.
Now that Lucas had left the country, he was preoccupied with overseas matters.
But Sophia, in just three days, had already established herself in high society!
Who could have guessed that she was the chairwoman of the YL Group overseas?
That’s right—after Lucas left, Sophia revealed her second layer of identity!
