Chapter 656: 13.21 - Escapee

A few weeks later...

Stinky Bun approached Tyrion cautiously, holding out a single, slightly squashed berries in one hand. "Eat?" he chirped, his big eyes blinking innocently.

Tyrion flinched, his massive form shrinking further into the corner of the cave. He eyed the offering with a deep-seated suspicion that bordered on paranoia.

For the past week, his life had become a living, breathing, and far-too-touchy-feely nightmare. The two new females were like vultures circling their prey, and he was the poor, wounded gazelle at the center of their attention.

"Sad Cow," Stinky Bun chirped, offering his smushed berry again.

Tyrion grunted, his horns scraping against the stone wall as he tried to put more distance between himself and the cub.

Stinky Bun ate the smushed berry when his attempt at cheering the sad cow failed. He ran away and clinged to Bing Shi’s leg, telling him that the Sad Cow didn’t want his berry.

Aria and Laura captured Tyrion and held him hostage inside this cave, and for three days now, they have been trying to show their affection.

"They love you, and think you are their fated mate," Bing Shi said, taking a seat next to Tyrion. Stinky Bun climbed onto her lap, and she started braiding his hair.

Tyrion scowled, "I am not their fated mate."

"I said the same thing when you were chasing me around, and yet, here you are," Bing Shi said, smiling.

"B-but it’s different," Tyrion stammered.

"How?" Bing Shi asked.

"I... You..." Tyrion trailed off, unable to articulate his feelings. How could he explain the possessive rage that burned within him whenever she was near? It wasn’t just lust; it was a primal, all-consuming need to own her, to keep her by his side forever.

But then he thought about the way those two females treated him and he realized that maybe he was no better than them.

A sliver of doubt pierced through his thick skull. Maybe he was a monster. A possessive beast who only cared about his own desires.

Bing Shi brushed Stinky Bun’s hair away from his face. That Dai An. She ran away with Ru Quan instead of helping her to deal with her mission. There were already rumors about males following an astonishingly beautiful female and building a cult around her.

"Y-you’re enjoying this, aren’t you?" Tyrion accused, his voice a low growl.

Bing Shi chuckled, "Maybe a little. It’s refreshing to see you on the receiving end for a change."

Tyrion’s scowl deepened. He wanted to argue, to deny it, but he couldn’t. He was a hypocrite like Bing Shi told him.

Aria and Laura walked into the cave, their eyes immediately locking onto Tyrion. They acted as if a hit of jealousy hit them from seeing him so close to Bing Shi.

"What are you doing with her?" Aria asked, her voice dripping with saccharine sweetness that made Tyrion’s skin crawl.

"Come on, big guy," Laura added, her hands reaching for his arm. Tyrion tried to fight them, but those two were more experienced fighters than him, they had him in their grasp in a matter of seconds.

"He needs a bath," Laura said, sniffing him.

"He stinks," Aria agreed, wrinkling her nose. "Let’s get you cleaned up."

Tyrion struggled against their grip, his muscles bulging with effort. But it was no use.

"Running away again, big guy?" Laura’s voice was a low purr in his ear as she tightened her hold. "You know you can’t escape us."

"We just want to take care of you," Aria chimed in from his other side, her fingers tracing a path down his bicep, making him shudder. "You’re so tense. Let us help you relax." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

They dragged him towards the nearby lake, their laughter echoing in the clearing.

Stinky Bun blinked his eyes at the palm covering his sight. It would be a lie to say he wasn’t curious, but his mommy covered his eyes for a reason. He had to be a good boy and not look.

"Will he miss them once they disappear from his life?" Bing Shi asked nobody in particular.

Ziek was helping Meiyiang’s males with powering up and Xuan Mu was working on building a barrier around the village, so she had a lot of free time after helping Laura and Aria find the escapee.

Braiding her son’s hair, she felt as if something was missing. Oh right, the other transmigrator!

Bing Shi quickly picked her son up on her arms and ran towards the lake. That woman had a tendency to save people out of pity, and Bing Shi had a feeling she might be up to something.

───────────────────────────

The scene that greeted Bing Shi at the lake was one of pure chaos.

Laura and Aria were held in the air by an unseen force, struggling against an invisible grip that squeezed the air from their lungs.

Lissandra stood before them with her arms outstretched, her body glowing with an otherworldly light. Her long hair whipped around her face, her eyes burning with righteous fury, "There’s nothing worse than a female who forces a male against his will."

Tyrion had a stunned expression on his face. He was confused by Lissandra’s appearance. She always appeared at the right time to save him from a pinch. Was she a goddess? an angel? a miracle?

He had seen her a few times, each time more breathtaking than the last. But because his soul didn’t resonate with hers, he didn’t pursue her with the same single-minded devotion as he had with Bing Shi.

He was a simple beastman, driven by instincts after all.

"Release them," Bing Shi said, her voice low as she made her way to the lakeside.

Lissandra turned to face Bing Shi, a condescending smile on her lips, "And why would I do that? These... females are harassing an innocent male."

"Innocent?" Bing Shi laughed, and Stinky Bun copied her with an evil laugh of his own. "He deserves everything he’s getting."

"Is this the female you have chosen?" Lissandra ignored Bing Shi and turned her attention to Tyrion. "Is this how you want to live? Tied to a cruel woman like her?"

Tyrion looked at Bing Shi, then at Lissandra. He was torn. A part of him was drawn to Lissandra’s kindness. She was everything a dream female should be. Compassionate, strong, and beautiful.

But another part of him, the part that was tied to the soul inside Bing Shi, was still holding on.

He looked at Bing Shi again, and then back at Lissandra.

"I... I..." he stammered.

"You bitch," Laura croaked, her face turning a deep shade of red. "Let us go."

"Such language," Lissandra clucked her tongue.

She waved her hand, and Laura and Aria were thrown into the lake with a loud splash.

’When worst comes to worst, they could just move into their space,’ Bing Shi thought, not at all worried about them. They were great actresses, much better than she was.

The males behind Lissandra were watching the whole scene with lovestruck eyes. She was their heroine, their savior, the one who had come to deliver them from their miserable lives.

Bing Shi gave Tyrion an indifferent look. ’Go on, go with her. See if I care,’ her gaze seemed to say. A part of healing was about letting go, moving on from the past to make room for a new, better future.

Tyrion took a step towards Lissandra, then another. She was a beacon of hope in a world that had been dark and cold for so long.

"I... I’ll go with you," he said, his voice barely a whisper.

A triumphant smile spread across Lissandra’s face. She held out her hand to him, and he took it, his own hand trembling slightly. "Come, my brave warrior. Let us leave this wretched place behind."

Another rival. The four males behind her clicked their tongues, but none of them dared to voice their disapproval. As long as they were by her side, they were happy.

As they turned to leave, a flicker of movement caught their eyes. Tyrion looked back one last time, his gaze lingering on Bing Shi. But she was already leaving, her back turned to him.

Stinky Bun saw the pained expression on his face and waved his little hand before asking Mommy to put him down so he could go and save aunties in the lake.

She did as he asked, and he ran to the water. The two females resurfaced, sputtering and gasping for air. They both had grins on their faces as the cute little hero tried to ’save’ them.

Aria took a deep breath before plunging back into the water. Laura followed, and they both grabbed Stinky Bun’s little hands and pretended to be pulled out of the water.

"So strong!" They both praised him, and he puffed his chest out in pride, letting them grab onto his little shoulder as he led them out of the water with all his might.

Tyrion quickly shook his head and followed behind Lissandra.
