Ru Quan didn’t see why he should let his wife work hard on trying to move her physical body’s limbs when there was an option to have him find a way around it. He remembered Dai An’s moving habits, and wanted to help make his wife feel as comfortable in her new vessel as she could.

Carrying her in his arms, he tweaked her body on the go, making it more comfortable to her liking.

Dai An made a fish face and Ru Quan did the same to show her what expression she was making like a mirror she could practice on. The limited view of what she could see compared to her ghost form had her struggling, so Ru Quan changed her vision to 360°, and she puckered her lips more when a world opened up in front of her, "Re...ward."

She could now see the forest behind her, and Ru Quan’s handsome new face in front. Bunny ears gave a little more of a cuteness to his otherwise sharp, cold appearance. "Re...ward," she managed to utter again, her lips moving awkwardly as she puckered them to make a kissing motion. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"..." Ru Quan leaned down, melting under her gaze, and pressed his lips to hers.

Dai An’s new body was slowly getting used to her commands thanks to whatever he was doing to it, and she began to be less resistant to the idea of using it as her own.

"What is it?" he asked, his tone soft and loving, "Are you comfortable?"

"Reward," she said, puckering her lips again, and he smiled, giving her another peck, "More."

He chuckled and pressed his lips to hers once more, "You are getting addicted to this."

"Addicted... to... you," she said and he almost tripped over his own feet.

"..." He steadied himself quickly and cleared his throat. Bing Shi together with Xuan Mu and Ziek had already reached the lake and were taking a rest by dipping their legs in the water, while they were still behind, "We should pick up our pace."

"Reward," she said and he almost lost his footing again, "More."

"Stop," he chuckled as he leaned down to press his lips to hers. "I’ll fall. Then you will be the one carrying me," he joked, but stopped in his tracks when he saw that his words had an opposite effect on her. She took great joy in seeing him get flustered due to her actions, and he indulged her, treating her like a knight would treat his princess (with restraint).

What if he they found each other sooner? What if he followed his mind and not his heart, and sought her out in the beginning of their journey? She wouldn’t need to have an artificial body. She would have had him by her side from the very start and wouldn’t have to go through everything she did.

"Reward," she said, distracting him from the bad thoughts. His eyes softened and he gave her one more peck while continuing to tweak her body.

Dai An was getting more responsive by the minute, her eyes becoming more and more focused, "Love you."

Ru Quan was too shocked to respond, but it didn’t stop her from pushing it further, "Love me," she said.

Ru Quan’s steps came to an abrupt halt, unable to look her in the eyes, the guilt was consuming him. So this was how Bing Shi felt when they forced her to love them as individuals? It felt so wrong to feel this way towards someone other than her, but at the same time so right.

He knew the Bing Shi and Dai An were of one soul now, but the feelings were overwhelming, and new. A change to make it up to her past self had presented itself, and he wasn’t sure how to feel about it.

The moment he took her from Ziek’s arms, he couldn’t put her down anymore, and wanted to stay with her like that forever. He took a deep breath and glanced up at Bing Shi, who awed at them.

"You are so whipped," she snickered cutely.

Ru Quan was speechless and a bit frustrated with his wife, who was clearly enjoying the situation a bit too much for his taste. He didn’t want to betray her, but at the same time, he wanted to give Dai An the love and affection he failed to give her in the past. It was a difficult dilemma to be in, and he was torn between what he should do and what he wanted to do.

Xuan Mu waved his hand before Bing Shi’s face, "You are supposed to be jealous here," he said, watching the two lovebirds from afar, "This is not just about sex anymore, you know."

Bing Shi blinked, not understanding what the problem was, "Should I?" she asked, genuinely confused.

Xuan Mu nodded, "If you don’t, Ru Quan will think that you don’t care about him, that you see him as a burden, and that you are throwing him at Dai An to get rid of him. He is a very insecure man, and he needs constant reassurance and validation to function properly."

"Oh," Bing Shi said as Ru Quan kicked a pebble in Xuan Mu’s direction while still holding Dai An in his arms, "I guess I should try to be a little bit jealous then." Pointing her finger at Dai An, she scolded her, "Hey! Stop seducing my husband!"

Dai An responded with, "Make me," and continued to seduce her husband with her little kiss rewards, but Ru couldn’t bring himself to kiss her again and only held her tighter.

Bing Shi turned to Xuan Mu, "He doesn’t look like he is doing any better than before," she commented.

Xuan Mu smirked, catching another rock flying his way with his palm and throwing it back with the same force.

"How can you bully yourself like that?" Bing Shi splashed some water in Xuan Mu’s direction with her feet, "It’s not nice to kick him while he is already down."

"I am not kicking him, I am helping him to realize what is more important," Xuan Mu said, blocking the water with a barrier of air.

"Hey, that’s not fair," Bing Shi said, splashing even more water on him. "Don’t use magic or whatever that is or I will start to use my own powers too."

Xuan Mu laughed, and then his body was thrown into the water with an invisible force.

The trio widened their eyes at Dai An and then at Bing Shi, "..."

One simply couldn’t just attack Xuan Mu and succeed in their first try.

"..." Ru Quan sat with Dai An on the riverbank.

Bing Shi reached over to high five Dai An, causing the trio to become even more flabbergasted.

These two were a deadly combination. At the end of the day, one was still a God and the later a powerful Sect Master with her own set of cultivation skills.

PS: Xuan Mu’s guard around Bing Shi is almost nonexistent, but still... he didn’t expect that. Dai An is bringing a whole new dynamic to their relationship. 😆
