Chapter 586: 9.08 - Drunk Ducklings - Jelly Household

’Hey...Dai An, why didn’t you stop me?’

’~Because it’s just easier to be you.’

’囧...What do you mean? It’s easier to be me? What if I want to be like you instead?’

’I would have to want it too. We can’t force each other. The decisions we agree on always prevail and shape our actions.’

They never questioned their actions; everything flowed naturally because they were parts of the same soul.

’Are you saying you also wanted to confess your feelings just like me?’

’~Yup.’

’Don’t admit it so easily! 囧...You even told me it’s not the right time for confession.’

’~You depend on me too much. I just tried to stop you with the bit of rationality left in me.’

Xuan Mu was searching for a nice bar after Bing Shi told him she wanted to get drunk with him as her designated ’stop-me-before-I-get-hooked’ buddy.

Xuan Mu couldn’t help but think, ’...Really?’

Her reason to get drunk was because she was itching to meet her ’drunk self’, a mysterious character she’d never encountered.

As they approached the dock by the river, the sight of a smaller medieval-style ship greeted them. Intricate carvings adorned the wooden hull, and a few lanterns hanging from the rigging cast a warm, welcoming glow.

Upon boarding, they were welcomed by a small, attentive crew dressed in era-appropriate clothing.

With a discreet nod from Xuan Mu, the staff understood immediately. One by one, they exited the bar area. Soon, the door closed behind the last crew member, leaving Xuan Mu and Bing Shi alone in the intimate setting.

She sat behind the bar while Xuan Mu mixed a couple of colorful cocktails and set them down in front of her, ’How did a love confession suddenly trigger a need to meet her drunk persona?’

Ru Quan observed her with Ziek, ’Maybe she’s just trying to forget she ever confessed?’

Ziek laughed, ’That confession must have tasted worse than a damn shoe for her to even contemplate getting drunk.’

Xuan Mu’s mouth twitched, a vein pulsing visibly on his forehead.

"Have you ever given someone a blowjob?" Bing Shi asked as she sipped on the drink, "Or has anyone sucked your Mumu?"

Bing Shi and Dai An had no problems giving each other a helping hand, and both made a bet that he also had no problem with such things except for Ziek.

"..." Xuan Mu took a gulp from a glass of water, thinking how he had done something much worse, "Cultivating my powers demanded focus and detachment from carnal distractions."

"Not even a handjob?" Bing Shi asked unbelievingly.

Xuan Mu shook his head innocently. How could he ever reveal that he had tried to make love to her dead soul? He then realized how messed up it was and never tried to violate her remains again.

This realization compelled him to acknowledge the potential danger of keeping a part of her soul with Victor.

He wasn’t strong enough to sustain her dead soul as a whole at that time. It was either discarding a part of her or letting someone else take care of her for a while.

Ru Quan kept a watchful eye on Victor, waiting for that crucial moment when Victor would discard her. He became strong enough to take back her soul, but the other man seemed to have no plans of letting go of her.

A few moments later...

Xuan Mu tenderly caressed Bing Shi’s hair as he listened to her sipping her drink, "You’ve been struggling with your fifth glass. Are you sure you want to keep going?"

"Yep," Bing Shi handed him the empty glass, asking for another, "I’ve asked Dai An to help me," she mumbled under her nose, causing a naked Dai An to appear beside her.

Dai’s appearance prompted the panicked man to hastily grab a T-shirt from his space and drape it over her head.

"..." Xuan Mu studied Dai An’s clear eyes, searching for any sign of intoxication, "My Bitter-sweetie, you can’t just appear naked. This isn’t a nudist bar."

Dai An sat at the bar, asking Xuan Mu to pour her a stronger drink, "If tonight ends up being ’memorable,’ I’d rather not remember my clothes getting ruined."

Bing Shi nodded in agreement, "Right! The only thing that is allowed to get ruined is my stomach."

Dai An demanded Xuan Mu to pull out another T-Shirt for Bing Shi, "Your stomach, your ass, and probably your throat and mouth too," she added.

"..." Xuan Mu couldn’t believe his ears, helping Bing Shi remove her robes, "What do you mean? I’ve always treated your dresses with great respect."

"That’s not what we meant," Bing Shi said as she tied Dai An’s hair in a ponytail.

Xuan Mu watched, flabbergasted, as they both put on his boxers and sweatpants as if saying the only clothes that were going to get dirty today were his, and his only.

His pants, which had been uncomfortably tight from the fashion show unfolding before him, suddenly felt roomier. It was as if the mood had been doused with cold water by their candid talk of potential vomiting and diarrhea.

"Cheers!" Bing Shi and Dai An clinked their glasses and gulped the burning alcohol in one go.

One eternity later...

"Do I smell?" Bing Shi asked, her cheeks began to turn crimson from the alcohol.

"Yeah," Dai An answered, her face also flushed red.

"I should shower then," Bing Shi stood up and wobbled a little.

"Me too," Dai An said, wobbling from side to side too as she followed after Bing Shi.

"Me three," Xuan Mu hurriedly grabbed them by the waist and helped them walk. She was the most controlled drunkard he had ever seen. Instead of continuing to drink, she would get bothered by the thought of being in an unsanitary state.

As he guided them through the ship, Xuan Mu noticed their slow pace.

"Was the ground always this wobbly?" Bing Shi asked, making Dai An trip over her own feet.

"No, I think that’s just the ocean of alcohol in our bellies making waves," answered Dai An, "Or maybe it’s Acid-sweetie making an appearance."

"..." Xuan Mu helped them leave the ship and return to the dock, "Let’s wait until we meet her first before rushing it with labels, alright?"

"Alright!" They echoed together, their voices in perfect harmony.

"..." Xuan Mu guided them toward the shore so they could enter the lake and cool off.

The water was still and calm, reflecting the stars and the moon like a mirror. Dai An and Bing Shi were like two little ducklings, waddling behind Xuan Mu.

Xuan Mu let them go so they could play in the water after he found out they weren’t completely out of their minds to drown in the water.

Dai An and Bing Shi floated on their backs and stared at the sky, their wet hair sticking to their skin.

Xuan Mu took the chance to take off his clothes and dive underwater, swimming around them.

He bobbed up to the surface, and in the blink of an eye, Bing Shi had already inflated a pool float that was shaped like a cartoonish crocodile. She was straddling it, her legs playfully dangling in the water, making ripples.

Meanwhile, Dai An sat on the edge, feet dipped in.

It seemed like they were both stuck in their little world, disappointed that no drunken persona had shoved up even after so many bottles of alcohol. More than getting sick of the drinking, they were getting disgruntled from the constant trips to the toilet.
