QT: Against My Will-Chapter 584 - 9.06 - Stinky Bun Visits A Hot Spring - Jelly Household
A few moments later...
Finally clad in a robe identical to his daddy’s and Xiao Pu’s, Stinky Bun let mommy transform a towel into a mini towel cap and put it on his head.
The family walked along the lantern-lit path that snaked through the dense forest, listening to the gentle sounds of water trickling, growing louder with each step.
Finally, they arrived at a secluded pool. The setting was tranquil, the steaming water enclosed by stone walls and lush greenery, making it feel like their own private oasis.
As they settled into the water, Stinky Bun’s robe and towel cap were forgotten beside the pool in his excitement.
’Good job,’ Bing Shi wiped her nose as Dai An showed her a photo of her child wearing the cutest outfit.
She had not one but two of the absolute cutest babies in her life. Yet, she couldn’t fully indulge in her hobby of dressing them in adorable outfits.
Xiao Pu used to put on clothes she bought for him before her death, and now even that boy was influenced by her husband.
She gave her half-naked husband a silent growl, "Such a waste of a perfect body." Except for Nathaniel, they all wore the exact same thing every single day.
"..." Ru Quan leaned back against a smooth rock, his eyes half-closed, savoring the moment, |"I’d love to add some spice to this conversation, but I don’t want to traumatize the little ones."|
Xiao Pu sat on the stone under the water, next to Ru Quan. He couldn’t help but think that his dad was nothing like the men around his ex-host, who were often hungry wolves in sheep’s clothing, ready to take advantage of his host.
Xiao Pu’s innocence shone through as he pondered, "Do you two ever... you know, get jealous?"
Ru Quan couldn’t resist a sly grin at Xiao Pu’s question in the tranquil setting by the water. "Never," he replied, casting a glance at Bing Shi.
"All the time," Bing Shi answered for herself and rested her head on his shoulder, her eyes closed in bliss.
Stinky Bun was a bundle of energy, splashing water and trying to engage his family in some spirited hot spring games. He tugged at Bing Shi’s robe, then pulled at Ru Quan’s leg, but the most reaction he got from them were drowsy nods.
Realizing that the hot spring had turned his ’little’ brother into a puddle of contented mush too, Stinky Bun decided to take matters into his own hands.
He scooped up handfuls of water, raining them down on himself as he continued to enjoy the water in his own spirited way. It showed how often he had to play by himself as most people around him were in the role of his guardians rather than playmates.
He then splashed his way to the edge of the pool and started to explore his tower of treasures. Bath trucks, floating rings, and even some waterproof books were all there for his enjoyment. To top it off, there was a small plate of his favorite snacks and some refreshing drinks.

After their refreshing bath in the hot springs and delicious dinner, the family returned to their room.
It was a traditional room with three wide mattresses on the floor, covered in soft futons and cozy blankets. The room exuded a tranquil ambiance, and the faint scent of cedarwood filled the air.
XiaoPu and Ru Quan began to arrange the futons for a comfortable night’s sleep. Stinky Bun, still filled with boundless energy, tumbled and rolled around on the futons, "Mommy, mommy." This looks like Stinky Bun’s bed but bigger.
Bing Shi nodded in agreement and nestled beneath her futon. With an adorable, expectant gaze, she looked up at her husband, "Darling, can you share a bedtime story with us?"
Ru Quan cradled Stinky Bun in his arms and lay next to his wife, his gentle embrace meant to lull him to sleep. He began a charming tale about a brave hero.
As he painted a vivid picture with words, Xiao Pu plugged his ears with his fingers, feigning disinterest in the cringy story but secretly listening from beneath his blanket.
Stinky Bun, sensing that Bing Shi was on the brink of dozing off, turned into a little alarm clock. He gently patted her cheek, "Mommy, mommy." No sleeping, mommy. Daddy didn’t finish his story yet.
"..." Bing Shi’s eyes grew heavy, and she drifted off into a peaceful slumber. Ru Quan’s voice continued to murmur the story, growing fainter and more dreamlike with each passing moment.
Stinky Bun squirmed and wriggled in Ru Quan hold, making it clear that sleep was not on his agenda for the night, "Daddy, daddy."
Ru Quan gently touched his lips in a shushing gesture, "Shh, everyone is sleeping." Then, he led the energetic boy outside for a quiet, moonlit walk.

Feeling a bit tired from their explorations, Stinky Bun looked up at his father with those irresistible, sleepy eyes and softly mumbled, "Daddy, daddy." His little arms reached out, seeking the comfort of his father’s embrace.
Ru Quan picked up his son. The gentle motion, combined with the soothing night sounds, lulled Stinky Bun into a state of contented exhaustion.
Stinky Bun’s eyelids grew heavy, and before long, his little head drooped, finally finding a cozy resting place on his daddy’s strong shoulder.
Bing Shi appeared by Ru Quan’s side with her silent presence. Her footsteps were soft on the pathway, and a gentle smile adorned her face. | "It’s funny how he would hardly fall asleep with both of us present. It’s like he knows there’s a party going on."|
|"He is not wrong, though."|
Under the moonlight, Ru Quan leaned in and gave his wife a gentle kiss with a tender smile.

Ru Quan placed their peacefully slumbering son back under the futon, ensuring he was snug and comfortable. Once assured of his continued rest, he and Bing Shi shared a glance and slipped out for their own moonlit walk.
"You are not going outside of the space to check on Shina tonight?" he asked, his gloomy aura once again enveloping him like a shroud of darkness.
Bing Shi chuckled softly, "As much as I appreciate the interactions and adventures, I’ve always preferred solitude and privacy. And Shina, that poor thing, has none of that."
Being Shina, as enjoyable as it might have seemed with the spotlight and a whole team of strong individuals behind her, it was more like a role she decided to play rather than a life she truly desired.
What started as a simple adventure soon spiraled out of control, and she and her team found themselves fleeing their own homes just to survive.
"I’m not sure if I’m ready to sign up for that much drama again," Bing Shi pondered, a hint of humor in her voice, "A honeymoon where I had to attend my husband’s funeral twice wasn’t exactly on my dream vacation checklist."
"Well," he brought her hand to his lips, planting a tender kiss on her fingers, "I suppose I have to make sure you have an infinite supply of husbands at your disposal, just in case."
Ru Quan’s playful comment was met with a fleeting smile from Bing Shi. Beneath the surface, the darkness of his immortality lingered.
Compared to Lu Kai, who usually embodied heroism and virtue, Ru Quan’s days and nights were dedicated to mastering ancient and forbidden arts, delving into the darkest realms.
Each part of his soul had embarked on a different path while sharing the same goal — to defy the very laws of existence and reunite with his beloved wife.
