Chapter 580: 9.02 - Stinky Bun And His Errand - Jelly Household

As they waited inside the elevator, Stinky Bun’s cute baby cough occasionally echoed in the confined space.

Bing Shi couldn’t resist the urge to take a short video of him as his cute baby cough sounded again and her reaction to it. She immediately shared it with her husband.

(Mrs Jelly): Help. His cuteness level is off the charts! ლ(¯ロ¯"ლ)

(Mr Jelly): Can’t argue with that. Stay strong Sweetie. Fighting! (ง•̀o•́)ง

Bing Shi chuckled joyfully as her husband shared photos and videos capturing Stinky Bun’s adorable antics.

If she wanted to receive a photo of the father and son duo together, she had to reciprocate it by sharing her own photo with her son too, "..."

In one of the photos, Stinky Bun was sitting inside a police car with Xuan Mu, both of their wrists were shackled. They were caught for causing disturbance in a neighbor’s playground. The little boy was wailing for his mommy, all the while Xuan Mu lugged him around on his shoulders like a sack of rice, causing someone to call the police on them.

In a different snapshot, Ru Quan was holding Stinky Bun by one of his little legs upside down, while on the other hand, a freshly caught fish dangled. The fish was the same size as the little boy. It was as if her husband had turned their son into a measuring stick for their fishing adventures!

Bing Shi no longer needed to fasten a harness to Stinky Bun’s backpack. Holding his little hand, they walked across the streets.

She couldn’t help but regret her choice of dress for the day.

It was beautiful but impractical, especially when trying to keep up with a snotty toddler. It swirled around her legs, occasionally causing her to stumble slightly,

"Aah, aah, bloot," Ying Xiong’s eyes wandered around while his mouth copied the various sounds of busy street honks. His lungs worked like an engine as he roared into a purr of excitement, "Beep, beep, wum, wum."

"..." Bing Shi would never cease to be amazed by what she saw and heard. The boy could walk for a very long time without asking for a break and also remembered the way to the mall.

Stinky Bun had no idea how much his daddy had sacrificed for his well being, but his mommy knew very well.

Ying Xiong didn’t grow old, but everyone still viewed the boy as a little toddler, who had just learned how to potty train. Time sure flew ’fast’. Her son already learned how to put on his shoes correctly, and learned a few new words.

"Crash—!" A traffic accident occured not far away from them prior to her thoughts.

"Ateluk?" Ying Xiong turned his head around in reflex, searching for a life sized truck, he tugged at his mommy’s hand, "Mommy, mommy?"

"Alright..." Bing Shi blinked her eyes at the dead bodies and the demolished properties, which just became the new victims to the little god of misfortune.

Bing Shi called for the ambulance and the police while Ying Xiong completely disregarded the scary sight of the dead bodies — it happened too often for him to give out any reactions.

Soon, the little boy howled in excitement when the ambulance, firefighters and police arrived.

"Mommy, mommy," Stinky Bun pointed at things that caught his eye, and they even went closer to count how many bodies the truck hit.

Unfortunately, they were quickly ushered out by the police.

XiaoPu was not like the lower tier system on the ground, but still, he needed periodic breaks.

When Stinky Bun didn’t cause any misfortune for a long time, an irritating sensation would emerge – hunger, a gnawing and insatiable hunger.

Xuan Mu would occasionally visit the outside world with their son to feed Ying Xiong some ’misfortune’. These outings often occurred when he got fed up with endless space repairs or simply craved some quality father-son time.

Their son might be a walking disaster, but there was nothing to correct about this trait of his. It didn’t mean that they would stop raising their son and let him do whatever he wanted: like hiding in a toilet with a box of cereals, for example.

The mall was cozier than the crisp autumn air outside. Scents from the bakery mingled with the music and the focused looks of shoppers, creating a lively atmosphere.

Bing Shi didn’t remember when was the last time she went grocery shopping. It was probably before her celebrity days. Now, pushing a full-sized cart behind her son’s mini version, she decided to fill up her space with some necessities.

Grooving to the mall’s music, Ying Xiong tucked his toy sword into a child-sized shopping cart. Tapping his wristwatch, a holographic grocery list appeared, guiding him with his shopping.

Ying Xiong and XiaoPu found the store shelves a bit too high for their small statures, so they often had to ask taller adults for help.

Pulling the trolley, Ying Xiong chose daddy’s fruit and vegetable section as his first shopping destination, causing his mommy to laugh out loud.

"Mommy?" He lifted his gaze at mommy. Why is mommy laughing?

"It’s nothing." Bing Shi covered her smile with her palm as she imagined the work her husband and XiaoPu had to put in to drilling all this into Ying Xiong’s little head.

Distinguishing the three bananas in the hologram picture, Ying Xiong showed a hologram to a nearby shopping assistant.

Receiving the bananas, Ying Xiong tossed them into his shopping cart and went ahead with a satisfied sniff.

"Daddy, daddy," Stinky Bun displayed his apple juice to a passing customer when he reached the bevarage aisle.

A man smiled and crouched to his level. "Ah, apple juice, huh? It seems like these are out of stock. Would you like another brand?"

Stinky Bun looked back at the shelf, his eyes scanning the options. Finally, he reached for a small box of apple juice with a straw attached. The smaller size was just perfect for his little hands and far less daunting than the larger bottles.

"Ah, little buddy, the one on your list is a bigger size," the man said, trying to guide Stinky Bun towards the correct choice.

Stinky Bun looked from the man to his small juice box and then to the hologram, processing the difference.

"Daddy," said Stinky Bun, reluctantly putting back the small juice box on the shelf. With a bit of help from the man, he managed to hoist the 1.5-liter bottle into his trolley instead.

As soon as Stinky Bun passed by the candy section, he gulped down his saliva and clutched onto his sword. He didn’t dare get close because of a scary monster, which resided there. Only Daddy was strong enough to fight it.

Switching his gaze between his mommy and the candy section dubiously, his little brain calculated their chances of winning. Pressing his lips in a downcast expression, he led mommy towards the cash register.

"..." Bing Shi widened her eyes in exasperation. She peeked at the dark shadow without a clear silhouette. After it sent her a polite salute, it continued to lurk around the sweet section creepily. Shrugging her shoulders, she didn’t mind playing the vulnerable mommy.

Pulling out a card from his shoulder bag, Ying Xiong got on his tiptoes, and placed it on the counter together with his wrist watch, "Mommy, mommy." Hello, Mrs. cashier. He greeted.

"Hello, young man," the cashier smiled warmly at the sight of the young shopper. She attentively compared each item in the shopping bags to those displayed on his watch.

Upon closer inspection, she realized one of the eggs in Ying Xiong’s carton was leaking.

"Oh, it looks like two of the eggs broke," she said, lifting the carton carefully to avoid further mess. She grabbed a plastic bag from under the counter and placed the leaky carton inside it, sealing it tightly to contain the spill.

Once everything was bagged, she handed Stinky Bun a printed receipt along with a shiny coin-shaped coupon.

Bing Shi got attacked by another wave of laughter when Stinky Bun pulled out his favorite toy truck from his shoulder bag and used the coin coupon the cashier gave him to insert it inside the truck’s coin slot.

Ying Xiong placed it on the floor and with a series of mechanical clicks and whirls, the small toy truck absorbed the shiny coin. It expanded in size until it was large enough for Ying Xiong to fit comfortably in the driver’s seat.

Thrilled by the transformation, Ying Xiong quickly loaded his bagged groceries into the spacious back trunk of the now-life-sized toy truck.

Climbing into the front seat with a grin that stretched from ear to ear, he grabbed the steering wheel with both hands, "Mommy, mommy!" Mommy, look! He exclaimed.

Bing Shi stood there, absolutely amazed as she watched her son sit in the driver’s seat. "Oh my goodness, that is incredible!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with awe, "Stinky Bun’s truck is amazing!"

Nodding proudly, Ying Xiong drove towards the elevator, then called for mommy to press the button that had an arrow on it.

Carrying her own groceries, Bing Shi used her elbow to press the button.

"Madam, would you like us to send your purchases home for you?" one of the mall staff offered, gesturing towards the bags in her hands.

After a moment’s consideration, Bing Shi decided to accept the staff’s offer. "Actually, that would be very helpful, thank you," she said, handing over her bags.

With her hands free, Bing Shi accompanied her son back home.

Once they reached their apartment complex, Ying Xiong drove his magical truck right up to the private elevator, stopping with perfect precision, causing his mommy to laugh out loud again.
