Chapter 507: 8.24- Get Your Ass Here -Monster Heist

Upon hearing the sound of the ringing phone, Victor reached out to his nightstand and picked it up, bringing it to his ear to receive the call.

"Stop fucking around, and get your ass here," a gruff voice demanded, leaving little room for interpretation.

"I have dinner scheduled for today," replied Victor, knowing the caller all too well. He could count on one hand the number of people who dared to speak to him in such a tone.

Ru Quan’s eyes narrowed as he read the message his wife had just sent him. He quickly forwarded it to Victor, adding a menacing touch to his tone, "I don’t think so."

(Silvia LeClére): I remember you wanted to see how well she fits his cock. Or was it his how his ass could fit one? As you can see, he is doing pretty well. Enjoy. [picture][picture][picture]

She sent Ru Quan a close-up of Victor’s bare back and legs.

Victor’s outward response was calm and collected, as he let out a small chuckle and said, "You should hear yourself right now. You sound like my mother."

A moment passed and Ru Quan’s voice cracked over the line, "Don’t make me come after you, you little shit."

"Alright, alright," Victor replied, hanging up the phone as he teleported into Ru Quan’s office.

"I’m in trouble," Ru Quan put on a mask that covered his face except for his eyes, his sleek and muscular figure clad in a black combat suit accentuated his every movement. "The school prince reported me for neglecting my duties during my work hours," he said. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

With a flick of his wrist, he tossed a suit towards Victor, who caught it with ease, "The council wants to press charges against me for allowing students under my care to end up in the hospital."

Victor raised an eyebrow. "What’s going on?" he asked. His toned body was on full display as he stripped off his clothes, revealing a physique honed by years of rigorous training and discipline. "I thought this rule only applied to the school ground," he said as he slipped on his own combat suit. He did end up in the hospital, but he wasn’t at school at that time.

"My area has been rigged with traps," Ru Quan explained. Despite the seriousness of the situation, he maintained his composure, "Moving around without getting hurt became damn near impossible for the students."

Victor followed Ru Quan as he led the way through a hidden passage, their footsteps muffled by the soundproof flooring. "Do you have any leads?" he asked.

Ru Quan shook his head grimly. "All the recordings are gone," he said, "But I know the school prince’s dirty tactics all too well. My gut tells me he’s behind this."

His eyes surveyed the magical traps with a practiced eye, noting their complexity and the potential danger they posed. "These traps are designed to be triggered and cause devastating damage to anyone who tries to disarm them," he scoffed.

Victor deftly dismantled the intricate magical traps that lay hidden in their path. "What did you do to get the school prince’s attention?"

Ru Quan’s tone was bitter as he thought about Nathaniel. "Wasn’t I clear?" he asked rhetorically, his expression darkening, "I neglected my duties, and I put the school in danger. He may look kind, but I’ve warned you before that he requires perfection from whoever works here, and he won’t tolerate anything less."

"For someone who is about to graduate, he certainly takes his principal duties very seriously," Victor said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. The twenty-one old male lead’s words now carried the same weight as the entire council.

"Oh, you caught on?" Ru Quan said casually, a hint of amusement in his voice. It might sound stupid to compete against himself, but what else was he supposed to do when there was no other opponent to match his skills? It was like playing a game of chess against yourself — a lonely and frustrating exercise.

Realizing that Leon’s body’s own natural abilities wouldn’t be enough to take on Nathaniel’s gifted genes, Ru Quan knew he needed to find another way to level the playing field.

With Victor on his side, Nathaniel could no longer exploit him for his own gain. It was evident by how much more time he had to play around with Bing Shi now compared to before.

With a practiced motion, Ru Quan drew sigils in the air with his fingers, his lines glowing with a brilliant light. Victor did the same, their coordinated movements evidence of their experience and skill. As they finished the sigils, the traps began to disintegrate, the sigils crumbling to dust and leaving a small area safe and harmless.

Nathaniel leaned against the wall of Silvia’s dorm, his tall frame looming over the surroundings. His silver hair was expertly styled, accentuating his chiseled features as his eyes remained closed in deep thought, "What’s so hard about killing Silvia LeClére, hm?" he muttered to himself in a low, menacing tone.

Bing Shi stared wide-eyed at the icicle lodged in her heart, feeling a sharp, searing coldness that seemed to spread throughout her entire body. The icicle was jagged and icy-cold, and she could feel it cutting into her flesh with each beat of her heart.

He caught her as she stumbled and fell, his muscular arms wrapping around her to prevent her from hitting the ground. With a fluid motion, he lifted her up and carried her to her bed.

"It’s so easy, yet so many have failed," he said in a cold, detached voice as he gently laid her down on the soft sheets.

Bing Shi could feel the chill of the icicle spreading inside her body, freezing her blood and numbing her senses, "Is this my end?" she whispered.

Nathaniel’s dark eyes flickered with a dangerous gleam. "Perhaps," he said, checking his watch. "Or perhaps not. It all depends on whether anyone comes to save you," he paused for a moment, his expression unreadable. "In the next ten minutes."

She touched the icicle, chuckling as she created a barrier around the whole school, "Nobody will come. I can’t allow anyone to interrupt my last moment with Nathaniel Hauxley, can I?"

Nathaniel’s expression remained unreadable as he observed Bing Shi’s actions. "Very well," he said, his voice collected. "If you insist on having a last moment with me, then let’s make it a memorable one."

Bing Shi couldn’t decide whether to swoon or scream at his presence, so she settled for averting her gaze. He looked simultaneously awe-inspiring and infuriating. It was as if she was trying to stare at the sun without protective glasses.

Nathaniel sat on her bed and leaned in close to Bing Shi, making her feel the coldness of his body against hers.

She couldn’t shake off the feeling of being the ’Beast’ to Nathaniel’s ’Beauty’. Her physical appearance starkly contrasted Nathaniel’s, making her feel even more out of place.

She knew that even if she were to occupy a different body, Victor would eventually find it and deform it again. Though her husband wasn’t making any aggressive moves, she could sense that he was preparing himself for a confrontation.

She had never been one to pay much attention to other people’s looks, but now she found herself hyper-aware of every detail. She could see things from other people’s perspectives.

Whenever someone cast a glance her way, it felt like a spotlight had been turned on, highlighting every insecurity she had, amplifying every blemish and imperfection painfully in her eyes.

In a split-second decision, she grabbed the nearest pillow and pressed it against her face, "Sorry, I’m all for getting up close and personal with you, but I don’t think your immune system can handle me right now."

Nathaniel couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle. He didn’t think anyone was ready for her level of infectious ’charm’ just yet. "Studies have shown that exposure to some bacteria and viruses can strengthen the immune system. Maybe a little interaction with you could give me some health benefits. What do you think?"

"Oh? I think it’s an amazing idea." Bing Shi threw her pillow at Nathaniel’s poker face, "Here. My microbiome has been dying to share some of its bacterial secrets with you."

"..." Nathaniel caught the pillow with ease and gave Bing Shi a warning look. "You think you can just charm your way out of everything, don’t you?" he said, his voice cold and calculated. "But you can’t charm your way out of this. Not with me."

"..." Bing Shi was momentarily taken aback. She thought Lu Kai would break the character he had built and give in to his mischievous side and come up with some cute punishment for her. Not this. It was a very, very, very unfamiliar Lu Kai, who was taking Nathaniel’s role too seriously. Was someone watching them or something?
