Protagonist's Evil System: My Girlfriend Turned Into A Dragon-Chapter 104 Training
It was a long pause between these two, Lucas simply couldn't understand and accept the fact that he was still treated like the main protagonist and a hero of this place.
He never wanted to become one. His goal was to win the game and get his wish granted, yet the people around him kept on saying weird things he never wanted to hear... 'there's no use even fighting it,' he thought and looked Luu in the eyes.
"I see, let's not waste any more time and start the training," he said slowly in a low tone, "summon Renexa." 𝐟𝙧ee𝔀e𝐛𝓃𝐨𝚟𝑒𝗹.c𝗼𝚖
"Okay!" Lucas eplied.
Lucas felt a presence as if something was taking his body away from its current location. In a moment, he found himself standing next to the pool of water which lay around the temple.
"Why am I here?" Lucas asked.
Luu simply shrugged, "for training, now you can summon Renexa without exhausting your mana," Luu looked at him and smiled.
"Thank you, Master Luu," Lucas said while smiling.
"By the way, you should know that you're not the first one to use this technique," Luu said.
"How many times has this happened?" Lucas asked.
"Only once so far," Luu answered.
Lucas sighed, "so what happens when you lose?"
"You will die," Luu answered.
Shivers ran down Lucas's skin, he gulped and tried to calm himself down. He knew that he was not going to find out about this anytime soon. He wondered how much time he had left before his death.
"Renexa!" He shouted, "come forth!"
A blue light began to form in front of Lucas's hand. A few seconds later, a white phoenix appeared inside the light. It was bigger than the normal size but nothing compared to the legendary phoenixes which existed in myths.
Its huge wings opened as it started to flutter and take off, flying towards Lucas.
"Good job," Lucas said while looking at the creature.
Luu looked at obeying bird and then glanced at Lucas who seemed to be in perfect relationship with his avatar, "very well, we can start training you how to connect with a white phoenix without a problem."
Lucas nodded, "yes, Master Luu."
"First of all, you must learn how to control your mind," Luu told him.
"What do you mean?" Lucas asked.
"Let's say that you have to control an object, like a sword or a cup, just like you did before," Luu explained.
"Like before?" Lucas placed his hand on his neck and stretched it.
"Yes, you should always try to keep your mental focus on the object you are trying to control," Luu said, "you must always be aware of what you are doing, and you must never let other things distract you from your goal."
"Got it," Lucas said.
"Then you have to imagine the object being in your hands and make sure that there is no gap between you and it," Luu continued.
"Great idea, Master Luu," Lucas spoke in a sarcastic tone.
"Now, you'll have to keep imagining it until you are able to hold the object in your hand," Luu said.
"That's pretty easy," Lucas replied immediately.
"Good," Luu said.
"If only everything else was that simple," Lucas muttered.
"Don't worry, Lucas," Luu said, "practice makes perfect."
"But I'm not even close..." Lucas sighed as his eyes wandered around.
"You don't need to be perfect, only the best," Luu said.
"I guess," Lucas said.
They both stopped talking and stared at each other for a while.
"Can you do it?"
"Of course," Luu replied.
"Well, show me then," Lucas said.
The phoenix flew back to the pool of water and settled down, letting Lucas get closer. Once he was in front of it, he closed his eyes and focused on the creature.
Lucas imagined the bird in his hands and tried to keep it there. This was harder than he thought it would be, and he struggled to keep his mind focused. f𝔯ℯe𝓌ℯ𝐛𝒏𝐨ѵel.c𝚘𝐦
"What are you doing?" Luu asked.
"Trying to keep my mind on the bird," Lucas said.
"And what if it flies away?" Luu asked him.
"I won't allow it to fly away," Lucas replied as he kept staring at Renexa.
"That's what you think," Luu said.
Lucas felt something pulling him away and losing his grip. As he opened his eyes, the bird was gone.
"What the hell?!" Lucas exclaimed.
"Try again," Luu ordered.
Lucas closed his eyes and concentrated hard on keeping the bird in his hands. He tried to imagine it there and slowly let go of his mental control.
"It worked!" Lucas said, opening his eyes.
"Really, good." There was no expression on Luu's face.
Lucas nodded and picked up the bird. The creature was still wet and cold, but Lucas could feel something magical within it. He carefully held it in his arms, making sure not to drop it.
"That's it," Luu said, "now you have to keep your concentration on the bird until you can control it, but don't use your mana," Luu explained in a low tone, slowly so Lucas could understand it better.
He worried that if Lucas will start using his mana straight away, he might wake the evil within him, "let's focus on controlling Renexa only for now."
Lucas nodded, "okay."
Lucas kept holding the bird in his hands and tried to maintain his mental control over the creature. He knew that he was getting better at maintaining his concentration, but his power was not enough yet, 'uuuggh!'
Lucas yelled, feeling something pull him away. The bird fell from his arms onto the ground, causing Lucas to fall on his backside.
"Get up, and now Imagine Renexa in her normal size," Luu looked down at him feeling no sympathy at all.
"Her normal size? Uugh," Lucas pushed his arm under himself and stood up, "like her normal massive size?"
"Exactly, but this time, you must imagine the bird in your hand and make sure it doesn't escape," Luu said.
"Okay, I got it," Lucas replied to his master.
This time, Lucas didn't struggle too much when he was losing his grip. He managed to keep his mind on the bird until Luu told him to stop.
"Very good, Lucas," Luu said, "but you shouldn't have lost your grip, it means that you're not strong enough to hold the bird in your hands for long." He walked to the side, "we need to work on your energy control and mana flow."
