The old men couldn't stand seeing him doing well. Although he was angry, what angered him most was Camila's accusation against him, as if he was an utterly wicked person in her heart, only capable of scheming.

In the morning, the two of them had been catching fish and playing in the water at Shallow Water Beach, having a great time. After returning, they cooked together, and those intimate moments still floated in his mind now. However, the moment she saw the little beauty, she immediately distrusted his character.

If she was jealous, he would have been happy.

Unfortunately, she was purely concerned about Florence.

"Was it really not your idea?" Camila Ruiz stared intently at him.

"No!"

Camila pursed her lips, wanting to say something, but after glancing at him a few times, said nothing. She instead sat back on the edge of the bed, looking worriedly at the still-unconscious Florence, asking with concern, "Why hasn't Sister Florence woken up yet? How long was I unconscious before?"

Jimmy Horne saw her tone soften, knowing she trusted him about seventy percent now, and his inner anger slowly dissipated. He took a step closer, standing right behind her, and said in a deep voice, "Oscar Evans was too heavy-handed; she might not wake up for a while."

In fact, he was also puzzled. Camila had been carried back to the room, and as soon as she was laid on the bed and he touched her face, she woke up.

Florence had been brought back, and now it had been one or two hours without any signs of waking. Could Oscar have struck Florence so hard that she became a vegetable?

"Sister Florence is so beautiful, yet they were still ruthless," Camila said angrily.

"If those old men weren't ruthless, then who would be? But really, is she that beautiful?" Jimmy glanced at Florence; she seemed pretty average, not particularly stunning. Everyone used to call her a little beauty, but in his eyes, she was rather ordinary, not nearly as captivating as Camila.

The heart is biased!

Camila suddenly turned her head, staring at him with wide eyes.

"Billy, are you sure you don't need glasses?" The person was right in front of him, yet he asked such a question.

"Do I look like someone who needs glasses?" Jimmy knocked on her head softly.

"Then why ask such a silly question? Sister Florence's beauty is universally recognized, even as a girl, I find her appealing." Camila generously decided not to mind Florence's childhood favoritism anymore. In her heart, on this island, being able to meet another childhood playmate made her so happy she forgot everything else.

"I'll go downstairs and ask old man Evans why the girl hasn't woken up yet." Jimmy didn't want to continue discussing Florence's beauty with Camila, so he turned and left the room, instructing Finn to guard the door, not leaving for a moment, in case those old men decided to take action against Camila when he was downstairs.

After Jimmy Horne left, Camila Ruiz remained seated on the edge of the bed, watching over Florence Ford.

A few minutes later, Jimmy returned upstairs.

"How did it go?"

"That wretched old man, so awful. He said she'd wake quickly because she knows martial arts, but right before boarding the plane, he gave her a sleeping pill. It will take a while for her to wake up. Camila, don't worry too much. Just rest for a while." Now it was 1:30 in the afternoon, and the sun outside was blazing like fire. At this time, most people chose to take a nap so they would have the energy in the evening to attempt to assassinate him.

Facing the demons, he'd maneuver during their afternoon naps, hiding in tall trees outside for his nap. It was cooler under the trees, and with the sea breeze blowing, it was much more comfortable than inside the house.

Camila Ruiz gave a nod, wanting to take off her shoes and climb into bed, intending to lie next to Florence.

The people here were all male, so naturally, with Florence's arrival, she would share a room with Camila.

"Not here."

Jimmy suddenly stopped her actions.

Camila raised her eyebrows, looked toward the doorway, and then asked softly and cautiously, "Are you suggesting we nap sitting at the door leaning against the wall?"

Jimmy chuckled, tapping her forehead lightly, speaking words only he understood: "I'd never allow that. Come, I'll take you to a safe and comfortable place for an afternoon nap. I guarantee you can sleep undisturbed until tonight." He finished speaking and pulled her hand, leading her out of the room.

"Wait a second."

Camila glanced at Florence, expressing some concern, "Will they hurt Sister Florence?"

"Not at this time. Finn, I've left it here to watch over her, so nothing will happen." Jimmy assured this as he forcefully pulled Camila out of the room, instructing Finn to stand guard properly.

The old men brought Florence here as a different form of test for him, presenting beauty before him, but he remained Jimmy Horne, not susceptible to temptation. However, Florence's safety was still at the forefront of his concerns. Even with ten years of brutal training, and the old men frequently brainwashing him, his heart was still kind, refusing to ignore Florence's safety.

Jimmy led Camila down the stairs and out of the house.

As they stepped outside, the glaring rays of the fiery sun immediately struck, making Camila squint and mutter, "The July sun is scorching."

Jimmy didn't reply. He released her hand and turned back inside.

Not knowing what he intended, Camila followed him back inside. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Upon returning, Jimmy started rummaging around, seemingly looking for something. It took a while before he finally found an old, worn-out umbrella. It was slightly damaged, certainly useless against rain, but for blocking the sun, it would do.

"Here, use this to shield yourself, so your fair skin won't get tanned. If it really gets tanned, back home, Uncle Ruiz would curse me and my ancestors for eighteen generations." Jimmy handed the broken umbrella to Camila, not forgetting to tease her.

His exceedingly handsome face, now free from its earlier dark expression like charcoal, was relaxed and leisurely. It felt as though just being with Camila dispelled all his worries.

His pitch-black eyes had a faint smile, with a hint of playful mischief, and his lightly smiling lips were slightly sensual, making Camila blink for a moment, thinking in her heart that regardless of how his expression changed, he was always a dazzling jewel, radiant.

Camila glanced sideways at him, opened the broken umbrella, and smiled, "My dad isn't that petty. Let's go, I'm really a bit sleepy." Having said that, she started walking outside. After a few steps, she couldn't help but worryingly ask, "Billy, Sister Florence really won't be in any danger, will she?"
