Pokemon - A real story-Chapter 836: Theory of Shedinja

Staraptor was happy about the evolution but its mission had not yet completed. It still needed to beat Wartortle after 3 months. It was confident that Wartortle would evolve in these 3 months and its defense would be further enhanced.

So, it decided to do the following.

It would first focus on the move 'Mud slap'. This would decrease the speed and accuracy of Wartortle. Then it would focus on the move 'Wild charge'. This was the easiest electric move that it could learn. Except for the typing, the move was very similar to 'Fiery aura'.

Now that it had fully evolved, it realized that manipulating the energy became a lot easier than before. It was going to take advantage of it.

The third thing that it must think about was its stamina and high attack power. To defeat Wartortle, it needed to be better in either of the two. It knew that it could not beat Wartortle in stamina, so it focused on high attack power.

To make it possible, it decided to focus on 'Feather dance', 'Tail wind', 'Aerial ace', and 'Wing attack'. It knew that it would be learning some new moves in these 3 months but those new moves would also take time to upgrade and evolve. So, it decided to focus on these 4 moves to increase its attack power.

As it had just evolved and completed a milestone, it decided to reward itself with some rest.

It was already evening and tonight Axel was going to observe the dream team. The dream team was an assassination team that Axel wanted to develop. It would not only useful against ghost and dark type Pokemons but also useful in some high level assassination.

The team would mainly focus on making the opposing Pokemon asleep and using illusion moves like 'Dream eater' and 'Nightmare'.

Alon was the commander of this team and Axel must say that the team was progressing very well.

"One of the most essential things in this team is speed and to be unnoticed. We cannot make the opposing Pokemon fall asleep if we are noticed. The effect of your sleep moves is improving and it is better than before. So, I am impressed about it.", said Axel.

Alon was one of the most hardworking commanders in his team. His Pokemons had grown steadily.

After monitoring the team for a good hour, Axel decided to go to sleep. He had to wake up in the morning to train his Pokemons too.

As he was getting ready to go to bed, there was a commotion in the training ground. Axel wanted to see what had happened and heard,

"Someone is ranking up.."

"Oh, it is Shedinja of Commander Alon."

"I cannot believe that Shedinja is ranking up. It must have been hard for Mr. Alon."

Now this was interesting. This might be the second Shedinja to rank up to king rank after ancient times. Alon had really worked hard on this Pokemon. It was not as easy to train a Shedinja to king rank.

So, Alon had trained it in many escaping moves. So, the actual fire power of Shedinja was compromised. But Alon still had not given up on Shedinja and finally it was ranking up to king rank.

Axel went near Alon to see the rank-up process.

"Congrats, Alon. You have finally done it. Your Shedinja is finally ranking up to king rank."

"Thank you, sir. I was waiting for this day for a long time."

The rank-up process took around 10 minutes and finally, the glow slowly disappeared and Shedinja was now visible.

Alon wanted to run towards it but Axel stopped him.

"Just wait for some time. It might not be in its right state of mind.", suggested Axel.

Axel's worries were in vain because Shedinja was in complete control of itself. It hovered around Alon and finally came near him.

Axel was happy for Alon.

"Tell me about the changes tomorrow. I am going to sleep.", said Axel and went to bed.

The next day,

Axel woke up early in the morning, did his morning routine, and then went outside to get breakfast.

Surprisingly, the canteen was already half full. He looked at the clock and it was only around 5:30 am. Normally, the members would wake up after 6 a.m.

Axel became happy that the members were taking their training seriously and then went to eat something. As he went inside, he saw that Alon was still there.

He would normally train at night. So, why was he here right now? Shouldn't he be sleeping? Axel also noticed that most of the members in the canteen belonged to the dream team. What was happening?

As Axel got closer to Alon and the group, people started to noticed him and gave him the way.

"Alon, what is happening? Why are you not sleeping?"

Alon noticed Axel and stood up.

"Sir, something amazing happened."

"What happened?"

"When my Shedinja ranked up, I found out that my Shedinja is now only a ghost-type Pokemon. It is not bug/ghost type.", said Alon in excitement.

"That means..."

"That means that it is only weak to dark and ghost-type moves. It has also mastered its ability to a very high level and now Shedinja could ignore any other attacks except for status move till tier 3 of king rank."

"So, unlike my Marcus, it still could not ignore the attack of someone of pseudo-champion rank or higher.", said Axel.

"Yes sir. It still could not do that. I don't know how Marcus could do it. But now since it is only a ghost-type Pokemon, its advantage has increased a lot. I don't know how that happened. Will every Shedinja will have the same effect after it reaches king rank?"

That was a question that Axel also wanted answer of. He didn't know what would happen to the world if they found out this information. As of right now, no body gave any attention to Shedinja. They knew that Axel's Shedinja was very powerful but they also knew that it was an anomaly.

'System, can other Shedinja also do it after they reach king rank?', asked Axel to the system hoping that it might answer and surprisingly it answered.

Being his first official Pokemon, Axel had a soft corner for Nidoking. It was a very powerful Pokemon. Its poison manipulation made it a tide battle king.

But there was something that always made Axel sigh. Nidoking might be the top 5 most powerful Pokemon in his team, but it was not in the top 3 or top 1. He always felt that Nidoking had a lot of potential to grow and he had researched about it a lot too.
