Player Awakening: I Become A Lord In Game-Like World-Chapter 50: Fragment Commander for Liliana
Caleb looked forward, somehow the aura emitted from the S Class commander was completely different compared to the class commanders below, such as B or A class.
[DING! Congratulations, you have a new commander]
[Name: Cleopatra]
[Class: S]
[Commander Type: Defensive Archery]
[Buff:]
[Increases Archer’s defense by 30%]
[Increases Archery unit speed by 25%]
[Increases archery unit’s range vision by +10]
[Increases unit recovery by 15%]
[Kingdom Power: 30675] [+2500]
When Caleb tried to compare the strength between Cleopatra and Arash, it was certain that Cleopatra was far superior with higher status and more buffs.
Despite being inferior in status and buffs to Cleopatra, Arash would still be considered by Caleb to lead the troops, of course until Caleb got a new archery unit type commander better than Arash.
"I never thought that I would be a commander, not a queen as I thought," Cleopatra replied, her arms crossed in a graceful manner.
"Since you’re the only female commander I have, you can be a queen commander, especially with a high class like you," Caleb explained.
"That’s different. Do you know what kind of queen I want to be?" the woman asked again, fiercely.
"I know."
"Queen of a great and prosperous kingdom. You led your people well during your time," Caleb replied.
"You finally know what I want."
Caleb smiled and nodded. It was a common occurrence when the commander was summoned. Previously, William had responded similarly as a form of refusal and so on.
But, slowly William was willing to listen to Caleb’s orders and was ready to realize the man’s ambition. Caleb didn’t know how long it would take for him to convince Cleopatra.
William stepped closer to Cleopatra. Cleopatra stepped away, standing directly behind Caleb. She acted this way because she saw William’s blue suit of armor, reminding Cleopatra of the European army.
"So, she’s our new commander?" asked William, trying to talk to Cleopatra.
"Who is she?" Cleopatra asked Caleb.
"William Wallace. Cavalry unit commander," replied Caleb, introducing William to Cleopatra.
In the other direction, Leonidas walked over. He wanted to report the patrol he had conducted with the infantry unit. Leonidas gasped, he saw a woman in a brown dress standing and taking cover behind Cleopatra.
From the color that emerged from the woman’s body —green. It was certain that Cleopatra was part of Caleb’s army. That made Leonidas not act aggressively towards her.
"Is she the new commander?" Leonidas asked, Caleb cleared his throat.
He re-introduced Cleopatra to Leonidas. Unlike William’s introduction, Leonidas was casual and seemed to respect Cleopatra. Cleopatra was much more impressed with Leonidas’ attitude than William’s.
"Then what are her duties?" Leonidas asked.
"She will be with the Archery unit. I have a specific assignment for her," Caleb replied, glancing briefly behind him.
Leonidas and William agreed. However, Caleb had not yet introduced Cleopatra to Arash. He would probably do so later, given that Arash was focused inside the town hall.
The summoning of the S Class commanders was over. Caleb got the best commander, especially for city defense with archery units.
He opened the inventory panel. Caleb didn’t expect that the number of items in his inventory increased a lot, the impact of the six chests he opened earlier.
However, the number was still within safe limits, because the maximum item types in the inventory that Caleb could accommodate was 100 different item types, while the number of items Caleb currently had was 36.
’Has Liliana gotten a commander? Earlier, she said that she really wanted to get a commander,’ Caleb replied.
From the inventory panel, Caleb had a whole set of A Class commander fragments ready to be summoned. However, since his commander was enough for now, Caleb thought of giving the item to Liliana.
[Send Item:]
[10x Fragment Commander A Class]
[Recipient: Liliana_P]
[Send Item?]
[Yes] [No]
After confirming the sent item, Caleb confirmed the panel to immediately send the fragment item to Liliana. Within seconds, the item was immediately sent and received by Liliana.
Caleb felt happy when he could help Liliana, especially since she needed a commander who could help her in her city. Not long after, the friend chat page appeared, just as Caleb had expected.
[Liliana_P] [You just sent 10x Commander A Class fragments? What for? I don’t want to trouble you]
[Caleb] [I already have enough commanders. I see you don’t have any yet.]
[Caleb] [I think you’ll be greatly helped by that item]
[Liliana_P] [Really, Caleb. If you keep helping me, I’ll get even more confused.]
[Caleb] [You need to get stronger. You must be able to guard your city well. Just by summoning the A Class commander, you can get a lot of city power.]
[Liliana_P] [Thank you. You’re too good for me, really] 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Caleb did not respond to Liliana’s chat anymore. He chose to close the page and started organizing his commanders to serve in different places.
Caleb assigned Cleopatra to stand guard over the city gates, in charge of 20 First Bowman units.
Commanders William and Leonidas were assigned to stand guard at that spot. They both had to be prepared if at any time Caleb needed them to do something.
William and Leonidas agreed. They would stand guard and prepare according to Caleb’s orders.
The sun set, and it was 7pm. There was nothing else for Caleb to do. He just needed to wait until the renovation of the town hall was complete, then he would rebuild the new buildings available.
Just before going to bed, Caleb opened the vision fog map and looked at two places, CL_Ellise’s town hall and Rain_Forest.
From both places, the number of troop units they had differed greatly. Rain_Forest only had 35 troop units, while CL_Ellise had 48 troop units.
Both players showed an increase in the number of troop units compared to before the Monster Chaos Event began.
Caleb suspected that the two players were also preparing if at any time they became targets at the event. However, they could breathe a sigh of relief, they were not the target of the event.
"I’d better get some rest," said Caleb, turning off the vision fog map from the panel in front of him, "It’s been a long day."
