Chapter 28 - Post-War Situations

The troop unit led by Leonidas slowly entered the outer area around Liliana's Town Hall. There, they saw a battle taking place between Liliana's troop unit and CL_Ellise's troop unit.

Even so, Liliana seemed overwhelmed. In addition to the difference in unit types between them, their numbers were not evenly matched with CL_Ellise's army units.

Leonidas ordered his troops to attack forward, 20 units of Caleb's troops came to aid in destroying the enemy.

Caleb told Liliana to withdraw all of her troops. He didn't want to kill Liliana's units just because the two hadn't allied.

Liliana listened. She pulled all of her militia units away from the battlefield. Now, the battlefield turned into a war between Caleb and CL_Ellise.

20 units of Caleb's army attacked the remaining 25 units of CL_Ellise's army. From the game map, Caleb could see the red dot of the enemy fighting against the green dot of his troop units.

[Unit Die: 4] [+4]

The battle status panel appeared before Caleb, informing him of the number of kills he managed to do and the number of his units died.

The number of kills was more than the number of unit dies, which was encouraged by the unit types of Caleb's troops.

No Militia units were sent there, only First Swordsman and Light Swordsman units. A different thing was shown by CL_Ellise who still had Militia, his troop units were dominantly Militia.

"To destroy the enemy units, at least the war will last longer than I thought," explained Caleb, still inside the town hall that was under renovation.

[Friend Chat!]

[Liliana_P] [Are you alright? Do I need to come down to help?]

[Caleb] [Just focus on protecting your town. You're in the critical phase of leveling up TH. If you fail, you will lose your resources]

[Caleb] [I can handle this problem. You don't need to worry]

[Liliana_P] [Alright. Thank you, Caleb]

Caleb shifted the friend chat panel to allow the game map to expand. The number of enemy dots outside Liliana's TH area decreased, as did Caleb's green dot.

Still, the decrease in enemy red dots was much more significant than Caleb's green dots. The battle status panel had yet to reappear, Caleb was already curious about the number of kills he had managed to get.

Elsewhere, John's entire army unit had completely disappeared from near Caleb's town hall.

Caleb thought that John might not send reinforcements due to Caleb's bluff, especially since John had suffered a crushing defeat and lost a large number of units.

'John's problem has been solved. However, I don't know if he will make a second attack,' Caleb explained, remaining cautious.

'It's better to defeat CL_Ellise's army quickly and focus on the city's defense,' Caleb explained.

[Battle Status]

[Kills: 18] [+11]

[Razed Building: 0]

[Unit Die: 9] [+5]

[War probability: 83% war win]

Caleb was slightly relieved. The number of his units that died was 9, a total of 11 units of his troops were still fighting there, while CL_Ellise lost almost 18 units of his troops. The total number of troop units that CL_Ellise had was about 7 units left.

Leonidas was enraged. He ordered all his troops to do their best. Caleb's unit went after CL_Ellise's fleeing unit, but it was in vain.

[Battle Status]

[Kills: 24] [+6]

[Razed Building: 0]

[Unit Die: 12] [+3]

[War probability: 97% war win]

Since one unit of troops had already gone away, Caleb didn't want to let his troops keep chasing. He ordered Leonidas and his unit to return to the city, while recovering themselves.

Leonidas nodded, obeying Caleb's orders. They marched from the east back to Caleb's town hall. In the end, the victory belonged to Caleb with a total of 12 defeated army units.

A total of 15 units of Caleb's troops died, consisting of 8 units of First Swordsman, 4 units of Light Swordsman, and 3 units of Heavy Scout. A very small number when compared to the post-war losses John and CL_Ellise suffered.

"Caleb!" someone shouted from the east, Caleb saw Liliana through the game map.

Caleb stepped out and walked east, looking for the woman. Again, Liliana smiled happily with both hands grasping Caleb's hand when he arrived.

"Thank you. You helped me again," Liliana explained.

"Looks like you'll have to keep your guard up. He already knows your location. He'll probably create many units of troops to attack you again," Caleb replied, glancing back at Liliana's town hall.

"How long will it take for your town hall to be completed?" asked Caleb.

"About five hours. What's wrong?" asked Liliana.

"In the area around your town hall. There are no players who might be able to threaten you. The only one desperate to do so is CL_Ellise," Caleb explained.

"You should build at least as many outposts outside. Since your troop units are limited, you should start considering building a palisade wall," Caleb replied.

"At least with a palisade wall, the enemy's attack rate can be stopped for a few minutes. That can help you prepare your city's defense mechanism," Caleb continued.

Caleb was giving useful advice to Liliana, it was because her fate continued to be targeted by CL_Ellise.

With the current capabilities of the women's army unit, building a palisade wall for the time being was a wise choice.

"I'll do as you say," Liliana explained.

The woman not only looked at Caleb, but also noticed the area behind the man. There, she saw many units of Caleb's army recovering, consisting of infantry and cavalry.

Not only that, Caleb's town hall was also in a renovation phase. Currently, Liliana knew that Caleb was trying to level up the town hall to level 4.

That way, the alliance feature would be unlocked along with the Alliance Center building.

"Should I level up the town hall as soon as today's renovations are done?" asked Liliana, making a suggestion.

"Do you have enough resources?" asked Caleb.

"I have plenty. How many resources does it take to level up to level 4?" asked Liliana.

"1500 wood, 1500 food, 500 gold," explained Caleb.

"Hmm."

Liliana was seen opening her system panel and checking the resources info section. From the panel's direction, Liliana was seen taking a deep breath realizing she was still lacking resources.

She unhesitatingly told Caleb the amount of resources she had, Caleb looked at it carefully.

Liliana only has 800 wood, 1200 food, and 200 gold. The production wasn't optimal because of the town hall relocation incident, it made it difficult for Liliana to level up the town hall quickly on this day.

Caleb took the initiative to help. He opened the inventory panel and saw that he had several bundles of different levels for the three resources.

He grouped the three into a aid resource bundle, which consisted of 3 wood bundles level 2 with a total of 750 wood, then 2 food bundles level 2 with 400 food, and 3 gold bundles level 1 with 300.

Since the market had not been established in the two town halls, Caleb chose to drop the item in the form of a chest on the ground. Caleb stepped backwards away from the crate.

[You dropped the item!]

Liliana was confused, not understanding what Caleb was about to do. From afar, Caleb asked Liliana to take the dropped item and use it later after the renovation was complete.

The woman agreed. She took the chest and claimed its contents. How surprised she was to see that the contents of the chest were item bundles of the three resources she needed: food, wood, gold.

"A-Are you sure about this?" asked Liliana, shocked.

"You need to advance to level 4 quickly. TH's renovation time to level 4 takes one day," Caleb explained.

"I'll do exactly as you say," replied Liliana, pleased.

"Thank you for this chest. I'll return it later."
