Chapter 63: Chapter 63 Completely Done

SOPHIA’S POV

Around midnight, my phone buzzed. It was a news alert. I almost ignored it, but something made me pick it up and look. The headline made my blood run cold.

"Alpha Damien Stone Spares No Expense for Mystery Woman’s Birthday Celebration"

My hands shook as I clicked the article. Photos loaded slowly.

My heart broke into pieces as I saw photos of Damien and Tiffany at an exclusive boutique downtown. The owner had closed the entire store just for them. Tiffany was modeling dresses while Damien watched, smiling in a way I hadn’t seen in years.

I saw more photos - Shopping bags piled high, jewelry boxes from the most expensive stores in the city, a custom birthday cake that probably cost more than most people’s monthly rent. And the final image, the one that destroyed me completely was a photo of fireworks over the city skyline.

Thousands of dollars worth of fireworks spelling out "Happy Birthday Tiffany" in bright colors against the night sky.

The article estimated he’d spent millions, millions on her birthday, on making her feel special.

I’d never gotten anything like this. Not once in our entire marriage.

My birthdays had been quiet affairs. Maybe a dinner if Damien wasn’t too busy with work. Maybe a piece of jewelry that his assistant had picked out. Nothing personal. Nothing that showed he’d put thought or effort into making me feel loved.

But for Tiffany?

He’d shut down stores. He bought fireworks. He practically made a public declaration of how much she meant to him.

Tears rolled down my face. I couldn’t stop them. I couldn’t control the sobs that tore from my throat. I buried my face in my pillow to muffle the sounds. I didn’t want my parents to hear. I didn’t want anyone to know how completely broken I was.

This was it. This was the final confirmation.

Damien didn’t just want to hurt me or control me. He wanted to erase me. He wanted to build a new life with Tiffany where I didn’t exist.

I must have cried myself to sleep eventually because the next thing I knew, sunlight was coming in through my window.

My eyes were swollen and my head pounded. My phone showed dozens of messages from people I barely knew.

Everyone had seen the news. Everyone knew that my husband had moved on.

I ignored them all.

Slowly, I got dressed in a daze.

My wolf was quiet now. She wasn’t howling anymore. She was just... empty. She felt defeated. We both knew there was nothing left to fight for. Damien had made his choice and it wasn’t us.

But I still needed to try one more time, for my family.

For Marco and Patricia and my parents who were suffering because of Damien’s vindictiveness. I had to make him stop hurting them.

I drove to Stone Villa early. The sun was barely up. I thought maybe I could catch Damien before he left for work.

But when I pulled into the driveway, his car was already there and so was another car. It was a sleek red sports car that I recognized from the news photos. Tiffany’s car.

My stomach twisted. They’d come here together. They must have spent the night together.

I used my key to enter through the front door this time. Voices came from the living room. I could hear Damien and Tiffany talking.

They were on the couch together when I came in.

Tiffany was curled up against Damien’s side with his arm around her shoulders. She looked tired but happy, still wearing what looked like party clothes from last night. Damien was stroking her hair absently while talking on his phone about some business deal.

They looked comfortable together.

Damien saw me first. His expression didn’t change. There was no surprise or emotion. Nothing. He ended his phone call and looked at me like I was an unwelcome visitor.

"Sophia. What are you doing here?" he asked.

"I need to talk to you. It’s important."

Tiffany sat up, smoothing her hair. "Oh, is this a bad time? I can leave if you two need privacy."

"No. Stay." Damien’s said. "Whatever Sophia needs to say, she can say it in front of you."

The dismissal hurt. He was making it clear that Tiffany was more important than my comfort.

"It’s about my family," I said. "About what you’re doing to them. Please, you need to stop."

"I’m not doing anything to your family." He said coldly.

"Don’t lie to me. Marco’s firm is losing clients. My mother lost her volunteer position. My father is facing harassment from the HOA." My voice rose "We both know you’re behind all of it. You’re punishing them."

Damien stood up. His expression was hard. "If your family is having problems, that’s not my concern. Maybe they should have thought about consequences before choosing sides."

"They didn’t choose sides. They’re supporting their daughter through a divorce."

"They’re enabling you to make terrible decisions. Someone needs to show them that actions have consequences."

"So you’re admitting it. You’re deliberately hurting innocent people just to get back at me."

"I did no such thing. Since you have no respect for your husband-”

"You’re not my husband anymore." The words came out broken. "You’ve made that very clear." I gestured to Tiffany. "Bringing her to our home, sleeping with her in our bed. You’ve replaced me in every possible way."

Tiffany made a small sound. Maybe surprise. Maybe satisfaction. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"That’s enough. This conversation is over." Damien said.

"No. It’s not. Not until you agree to leave my family alone. They’ve done nothing to deserve this."

"I said we’re done talking." Damien moved toward the stairs. "I need to get ready for work."

"Damien, please." I hated how desperate I sounded, how broken. "Just talk to me. Five minutes. That’s all I’m asking."

"I don’t have five minutes. I have meetings all day. Important meetings that can’t be rescheduled."

"More important than the mother of your child?"

He stopped at the base of the stairs then turned to look at me. His expression was completely cold. "You stopped being my wife the moment you left.”

My wolf whimpered.

Damien climbed the stairs without another word. I heard a door close.

Tiffany was still on the couch. She looked at me with something that might have been pity if it wasn’t mixed with so much triumph. "You should go, Sophia. This is just making things harder for everyone."

"This is my house."

"No. It’s Damien’s house. You don’t live here anymore, remember? You left." She stood up, smoothing her dress. "And honestly? You should stay gone. Damien’s happier now. Ashley’s adjusting. Why ruin that by hanging around where you’re not wanted?"

My hands clenched into fists. My wolf wanted to shift. She wanted to show this female exactly who was Luna here. But I couldn’t. I wouldn’t. That’s what they wanted - for me to lose control.

"I’ll leave," I said quietly. "But not because you told me to. Because there’s no point in staying where I’m clearly not welcome."

I turned and walked to the door.

I couldn’t fight anymore. I was too tired, too empty.

I got in my car and drove away from Stone Villa, away from my husband and his new life. My wolf was silent inside me.

She didn’t howl. She was just... gone. Like she’d given up too.

I wouldn’t go back.

I was done.

Completely done.
