Chapter 85: Heavenly Vessel Forging

Ye Jun wanted to study the Grand Genesis Foundation Sutra, but they had other things to do so he decided to read it on the way. First, they had to meet with Han Yuexin outside the Northern Entrance Gate of Bright Star City.

Sitting inside Song Liangxue’s carriage, Ye Jun was studying his new cultivation manual while the other two talked casually about random topics.

Surprisingly, when he wasn’t involved in their conversation, they behaved as if they were childhood friends. It was baffling, but he guessed they might be fond of each other due to similar circumstances.

’If only someone cultivated this manual, I could have simply collected the attributes. And if I work hard too, I’ll get twice the effort.’

A thought crossed his mind, making him pause.

’What if I spread this technique to many people? If they all cultivate it, then I can basically farm attributes. Fucking brilliant idea! I can open farms to mass collect attributes.’

However, he dismissed it, for now at least. He didn’t have the resources necessary for that, and it would also be very suspicious. Not to mention, it was a Heaven-Grade cultivation manual so he couldn’t spread it.

’Her clan is not a simple one.’

Still, the idea was simply too good to ignore, so he decided to test it later in his free time when he had enough resources.

The carriage’s atmosphere shifted slightly, making all heads turn toward the seat which had been empty a few moments ago. Song Ying sat there in her black robes.

"You were right, Young Lord," she said. "They destroyed everything."

"Not really a surprise," Ye Jun said, closing the manual. "Their hate for me is past the limits."

There was no one who knew the Ye clansmen as well as Ye Jun, so he sent Song Ying to check up on his old residence. And things went just as he expected.

"Everything you requested is in this Space Ring," Song Ying handed over a black, simple ring to him and said. "It was a gift from Young Miss."

"Can’t have my husband be without a Space Ring," Song Liangxue patted his hand lightly and smiled.

"Once again, thank you for this," Ye Jun said genuinely, as he knew Space Rings were expensive.

Knowing that the Ye Clan would try to destroy everything he owned, he hid most of his important things before going for the Martial Exchange. Now, he had asked Song Ying to retrieve them.

"That was smart of you," Song Liangxue said.

"I just know them too well," Ye Jun shrugged and put on the ring.

Then he went back to studying the cultivation manual.

The first part of the Grand Genesis Foundation Sutra was called Heavenly Vessel Forging. It involved creating a body capable of supporting a higher existence.

In a way, it was a better version of the Body Strengthening Realm, just way more intricate and perfected. It gave his cultivation base a solid foundation physically so he never had to worry about higher realms breaking his body.

’There is a Heavenly Tribulation from Soul Tempering onwards.’

It came whenever one tried to break through to the next realms and targeted all aspects of an individual. The physique endured a major portion of it, so if it was fragile, the individual would fail to advance and might face severe consequences.

Heavenly Vessel Forging prevented it.

He needed to forge a heavenly physique. And doing that was a slow and arduous process. He had to reconstruct his meridians, making them wider and sturdier. And not just the main ones, but also the blocked ones.

Doing that was asking for a death sentence if one didn’t have proper knowledge and instructions. But if successful, it would prevent future bottlenecks caused by narrow pathways and Qi flow resistance would also decrease permanently.

"We’re here." Meihui’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts.

Ye Jun gave the scroll one more look before storing it in his space ring. There was more to the Heavenly Vessel Forging, so he would study it later on.

He stepped out of the carriage, finding himself face to face with the Northern Entrance Gate. A long queue of people, carriages, and more moved in and out of the city.

Now that the Martial Exchange was over, the traffic in the city was lessening as people left.

On the side, in a quiet corner, Han Yuexin stood talking with a man twice her size. They approached the two of them, as Ye Jun announced their presence, "Mountain, you’re really coming with us."

"True Ulankar never breaks his promise," Mountain tapped his chest and said in his unique accent. "I shall join you."

"Welcome!" Han Yuexin shouted in excitement. "I hope you have a pleasant answer for me."

"Actually, I have something even better," Ye Jun smiled and said. "Can your sect handle four people?"

Han Yuexin blinked in confusion, but then her gaze landed on Song Liangxue and her eyes instantly widened in disbelief. Her mouth hung open as she asked, "Are you messing with me?"

"Certainly not, Elder Han," Song Liangxue said, keeping her voice respectful. "We want to join White Gale Pavilion."

Han Yuexin took a moment to grasp everything. Ye Jun couldn’t blame her. After all, every single one of them was the best of Bright Star County, not to mention Meihui was probably one of the best recruits in their history.

Adding Song Liangxue was just plain ridiculous, since Song Liangxue had never joined any sects even though every single sect in the North wanted a talent like her. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Now she was joining a random vassal sect.

Han Yuexin took a deep breath to calm herself and said, "I know my sect is just a stepping stone for you four, but I’m still very happy with your decision. With this, my sect will progress a lot."

She grinned widely and spread her hands. "So even if it’s for a short time, I welcome you four to my humble White Gale Pavilion."

"Yours?" Meihui noted it.

"My elder brother is the Sect Master," Han Yuexin shrugged. "So I came here on his orders. In any case, we should depart. I’m sure he’ll be surprised."

"Oh, about that, I have something to do before we leave," Ye Jun said, looking toward the city. "It won’t take long, so can you wait please? It’s very important to me."

"I don’t see any problem with that," Han Yuexin nodded. "I’ll go prepare our ride."
