The group finished eating the breakfast, the dining chambers got some nice peace and quietness from all the chatting.
Then, a servant entered the dining chambers. He bowed. "Greetings, your highness. His Grace has invited you and your pet to the training grounds." He announced.
"A PET? WHO ARE YOU CALLING A PET? THIS HONORAB—"
"Yeah, yeah. We get it already, miss honorable one. Let’s just go for now. Uncle told me last night he wants to study you longer. " Aurelion interrupted her. Aurelion pushed her by holding both of her shoulders, making it look like a rail. Then, gave his signature Aura farming pose.
"It is time for me summon my own AKATSUKI." Aurelion boomed.
The bright morning nearing into scorching afternoon approached. Aurelion and Sally, currently in her human form walked towards the training grounds.
The training ground sat behind the research tower, more functional than looking grand. It was an open circular space paved with reinforced stone, etched faintly with overlapping rune arrays that glowed only when activated. Several crystal pylons stood at measured intervals along the perimeter, their surfaces marked with calibration symbols rather than decoration. One side of the ground held stacked practice targets which were metal plates, mana-absorbent dummies, and fractured stone slabs from earlier experiments. Everything about the place suggested precision and control, built not for spectacle but more for solitary training or research experimentations.
WHOA... MY PERSONAL TRAINING GROUND LOOKS LIKE A CHILD’S PLAYGROUND IN COMPARISON TO THIS. THE AIR SMELLS METALLIC TOO. Aurelion was impressed.
Caelion was waiting for the two in the center of the paved ruinstones, his hair falling completely over his face, even his eyes we’re shut by them, indicating that he must have done some rigorous training earlier himself. He waved his hair and noticed the two. He gestured them to come on circular ring.
"You are here, dear nephew. What a perfect timing, I just completed some light workout myself. Looks like I called at the correct interval." Caelion said.
"Wait, is that your familiar by side?" He gave an astonished look.
"Yes, I apprised you yesterday about her, remember. She is the same vomiting Salamander as yesterday." Aurelion explained.
"I do remember, still seeing the real thing in front of my eyes is just another experience and an eye opening. " Caelion exclaimed.
He became completely dwelled with curiosity, his research mode got ON. "... I know that I called here today to summon other familiars but let me first study her." He boomed with inquisitiveness.
MORE WAITING FOR ME, I GUESS. AT LEAST, I CAN WITNESS WHAT SALLY REALLY IS, ON THE BRIGHT SIGHT. MY THUNDER LEGION, WAIT FOR ME FOR SOME MORE TIME.
"... Sally..., come stand here in the middle." Caelion inspected her thoroughly, he gazed upon her from up to down, took some revolutions around her, broke some hair of her and did some similar stuff.
"Hey Sally, explain it to me how can you turn into a human girl so effortlessly and with such perfection too." Caelion asked.
"... Like I have said hundreds of times before, I DON’T KNOW. I was just able to." She answered getting frustrated by his constant inspection. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"Was just able to? I see...," He reiterated, "...then it must be that. I think it must be that." Caelion came to a conclusion.
"Sally, can you explain word by word, what happened completely?" Caelion instructed. Aurelion gave her a long stare, indicating her to cooperate with him.
"Fine...fine."
"So, the first thing I saw was this Stupid Clown, he was giving me orders to fly or something and had the audacity to call me an inferior creature."
SIGH... I DEFINITELY NEED TO ASK ABOUT HER SPEECH PATTERN TOO.
"Then, I also met the cute maid and cozy one at that place."
Rowan has officially became a NPC character this far in the story. He really needs to step up his game and get more screen time. Anyways, carrying on—
"Then, I met the handsome one, he was a little weird. He took me inside and gave me a room and brushed my hair. To think he would treat the honorable one so cheaply and had not prepared a palace for me but I let that go because he was handsome."
"Then, he talked to me about Clown Piss and what things he like or not. Then, the cozy one gave me a short visit and treated me like a little kid. Nothing happened after that, I just took a nap, and when I woke up I saw that I had change into this inferior human from but I did not do anything because the cozy one liked this appearance."
"Here it is. That was all. See, I told you that I just woke up in this form as a girl." She concluded.
"...Ahh, then I was right." Caelion stated. "And one more thing, YOU ARE NOT A DRAGON EITHER." He added.
"THIS HONORABLE ONE HAVE ALWAYS DENIED BEING A LIZARD WHETHER IT IS A LIZARD ON LAND OR A FLYING LIZARD." Sally yelled in anger.
"Ohh, forgive me, that was not directed to you. It’s my nephew’s fault of how he explained me with you being a dragon without wings." He turned to Aurelion mid-sentence.
Aurelion heard that and reacted fast, he stepped closer. "Wait, then what about my dream of conquering the skys?"
"Huh... " Caelion exhaled.
"I mean, if she is not a dragon then, I can’t fly on her. And what exactly is she then?" Aurelion rephrased.
Caelion chuckled. "... Looks like the only thing, you are worried about it flying," He paused, "... Well, do not worry you can still fly on her after some training." He continued.
THAT IS GOOD THEN, MY DAYS OF CONQUERING THE SKIES HAVE NOT GONE OUT OF THE PICTURE YET.
"As for what she is, that’s uncertain yet..." Caelion added and took a pause, "but I believe that she is a Morphveil." He stated.
