PERFECT REINCARNATION : Being Invincible in Another World-Chapter 50: Midnight Crown
The Fiance Evelyn Knightheart and dinner time.
The uncovering of answers finally concluded, the curtains of history unveiled, some secrets and some promises jumped out but what settled the silence was the reasoning and the strong foundation.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
The conversation had barely ended but a knock came to disturbed the newly formed silence.
"Yes." Caelion answered. "Your Grace, will you be joining for the dinner or should I tell the servants to bring your meal in the study"?
It was Rhael, he did not entered, just asked from outside. Caelion gestured Aurelion to wake up.
Caelion acknowledged the act, he ordered Rhael, his aid, to inform the servants about him and Aurelion joining the dinner table. The food must be worthy for the Crown Prince, he passed his intention without mentioning it directly.
Caelion turned to Aurelion, put a hand on his shoulder and turned to head towards the dining chambers. At the gate, he said.
"My dear nephew, I guess it is time for your First meal with your fiance." Caelion chuckled.
"WHAT? DIDN’T SHE LEFT ALREADY?" Aurelion yelled.
"No, She will be staying here for few days." Caelion replied. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
What Aurelion had not paid attention to in the afternoon was the fact that Caelion had asked Rhael to escort her inside and not to see her off. His observations seriously sucks when any female who is mildly attractive comes between his gaze.
"Wait, but why is she staying here? Also, isn’t Knightheart Duchy enemy of Lunaris?" Aurelion asked Caelion. His curiosity still had not subsided.
"After such a long discussion...," Caelion rubbed his temples. "We are not enemies, my nephew. We just believe in different ideologies for them, the sword and brute might is superior and for us preparation, research and Magic is better. We discussed it for so long too. All the three powers are needed to keep the Empire in harmony and peace." He took a pause and exhaled.
"As for the reason, why she is here is because she wanted to enchant her sword with some inscriptions and wanted to get some custom made artifacts." Caelion explained.
Then, he looked in front and murmured to himself. "She certainly, is a Odd ball though. For a family which believes enchanting is for cheap shots, to think she would order artifacts which are used to trap an unconscious person."
"You said anything, Uncle Cael?" Aurelion asking Caelion to repeat himself.
Caelion shaked his head off and looked at Aurelion. "Ohh nothing, I was just saying that you should take this opportunity to get more familiar with her."
HUH...DID THIS GUY FORGOT THAT I STILL HAVE NOT AGREED TO GETTING ENGAGED? WHOA, I GUESS, MY OPINION REALLY DOESN’T MATTER TO HIM.
"I should still at least meet her though to know if I shall accept this engagement or start a new Drama." Aurelion said to himself.
The two walked Down D stairs, exited the study galleries and research lobbies and entered the dining chambers.
Aurelion looked at the lavish table placed in the center and focused on the chairs. He gazed around to look for Sally, Stefan or Lyra but they were nowhere in sight.
Rhael who was standing behind the table at a corner noticed Aurelion’s glancing and stepped forward and bowed.
"If you are looking for your companions, then worry not as they have already eaten earlier. I personally made sure that your pet and servants don’t feel discriminated here." He informed.
Now, the main event arrived, while gazing his eyes around, Aurelion cleverly omitted a seat in his vision and the person who was sitting on that seat was EVELYN KNIGHTHEART, the one who would be later known as The Midnight Crown but in the current timeline, the Second daughter of the Grand Knightheart Duchy and soon to be Aurelion’s fiance.
She was sitting on the first seat from left row. Catching the sight of the two, she stood up gently lifted her skirt a little, back straightened, she gave a little bow. "Good evening, your highness. I was delighted to hear that you will be joining us for dinner tonight."
Then, she turned to Caelion, did the same lifting and posture. "Good evening, Duke Lunaris."
Caelion reciprocated with a light bow himself and said. "Good evening, young miss. I hope that you are enjoying your stay here."
She smiled. "Everyone has treated me with kindness. I hope that I am not being a bother for you and your research."
"Oh never. I enjoy chatting with you a lot. After all, some five year olds are too serious these days." Caelion chuckled.
"Anyway, let’s dine first." Caelion waved his hand towards the table. Evelyn starts walking towards her seat, Caelion gaves a little push to Aurelion on his shoulder.
"Hey, what was that for?" He gestures towards her. "Go and Pull her chair for her." He whispered into Aurelion’s ear.
OHH DAMN, I JUST REALIZED THAT I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A DATE. HOW COULD I MAKE SUCH A ROOKIE MISTAKE. MY RIZZ MIGHT HAVE TAKEN A SERIOUS HIT TODAY, THANKS... UNCLE HANDSOME. Aurelion thought.
Aurelion walked elegantly, he was going for a perfect first impression. He gently caressed his strand of robe, walked with grand demeanor.
Evelyn had already reached the seat, so all the effort Aurelion put into walking had already gone to waste as she did not glanced backwards a single time. Aurelion moves forward, determined to level up his rizz, and pulls the chair. This was his moment to shine and he did, just not in the way he intended to.
BAAM
Evelyn was in sync with the good, her body streamlined, mirroring the floor surface and nice red inner lining of skirt was camouflaging with the beautiful carpet placed beneath the table. Her eyes were spinning.
"NOOOO, YOUNG MISS EVELYN." Her maid shouted who was standing side the pillar at first along with other maids.
Caelion simply said two words.
"OH LORD" and rubbed his temple again looking at the ceiling.
