Peerless Martial Expert in the City-Chapter 237: What day is it?
"Yes, Mr. Fei is correct. If there’s nothing else, I shall take my leave now,"
Mr. Fei’s fleeting look of hatred, although brief, was clear to Li Ziming. He had intended for Mr. Fei to confront Xiao Yi to see if he could get some relief. After all, from the way the Third Young Master had spoken to him last time, it seemed that Mr. Fei was even stronger than the Third Young Master.
However, he hadn’t expected Mr. Fei to have such good composure. He felt somewhat disappointed, but upon remembering that he too despised Xiao Yi, he felt a slight surge of pleasure again. It was only natural, considering how the Third Young Master had been injured last time, that their backing powers would detest Xiao Yi.
Hmph, Xiao. Just wait to die!
Li Ziming sneered to himself.
"Go ahead,"
Mr. Fei nodded, made no effort to detain him further, and simply waved him off casually.
Only after Li Ziming’s figure had disappeared into the distance did Mr. Fei slowly lift his head from the book. A glint of icy coldness flickered in his eyes, reminiscent of a venomous snake’s stare. His somewhat pale hand clenching the book abruptly unveiled a few faint veins.
After a long while, he took a deep breath, his face regained its calm composure and he lowered his head once more to stare at the book with the same earnestness and concentration as any scholar engrossed in a library.
.........
What is happening today?
Has the world suddenly shrunk? Has our global village condensed so much?
Seeing Li Zijie coming towards him, Xiao Yi couldn’t help but smile wryly once again.
He had just gone to the library to read and encountered Li Ziming, and now, just as he left the library and reached the school’s entrance, he ran into Li Zijie. Could today truly be his legendary day of bad luck?
Otherwise, how could he so coincidentally keep bumping into these annoying flies?
However, just from the aggressive demeanor on Li Zijie’s face, he knew that this ’fly’ wouldn’t be as easy to deal with as the one from this morning. He guessed that it wouldn’t leave without buzzing around noisily for a while.
Immediately, his conjecture was confirmed!
"Hey kid, stop right there!"
A domineering shout came from Li Zijie’s mouth.
As he bellowed loudly, Li Zijie quickly approached Xiao Yi, a cruel cold smile on his face.
Watching Young Master Li’s expression suddenly change, he walked towards Xiao Yi, followed closely by the girl at his side and a few others dressed in designer brands, who were obviously spoilt heirs quickened their pace to keep up with Li Zijie’s strides towards Xiao Yi.
Xiao Yi stood his ground calmly, with an indifferent look on his face, quietly waiting for them to approach. He had no intention of running, knowing at this moment, he surely couldn’t escape. Hadn’t he seen, upon Li Zijie’s shout, how those heirs had already surrounded him one by one?
Unless he used his movement technique, then no matter how many more of those young men there were, they wouldn’t be able to catch up with him, let alone stop him.
But that would be too shocking for the world to bear. He felt no need to expose himself so astonishingly just because of a fly, and put himself into the eye of the storm.
"Kid, you’re definitely going to die this time!"
Li Zijie had not expected that his shout would actually work, that the stinky boy would really stand there foolishly, waiting for him to approach. His face briefly stiffened in surprise, but quickly, a cold sneer returned, his eyes looking down on Xiao Yi with disdain as he spoke harshly.
Xiao Yi had not expected to encounter him here, nor had he expected to run into Xiao Yi here.
Ever since their last encounter, he had remembered Xiao Yi’s face, and as soon as he returned, he had his subordinates start searching. They almost turned the Medical College upside down, but to no avail; they couldn’t find any trace of him throughout Z University’s Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital, including the Medical College. Since he had other matters to attend to afterward, he begrudgingly suppressed this issue in his heart.
Yet he had not anticipated that he would stumble upon Xiao Yi without any effort, just when he was about to take his brothers out for some fun, right at the campus entrance.
At first, he thought he was seeing things, even rubbed his eyes in disbelief. But upon seeing Xiao Yi’s gaze meeting his own, he finally confirmed that this boy was indeed that very one!
Instantly, without hesitation, he roared and charged towards him.
All this time he had temporarily held the matter in his heart, but that didn’t mean he had forgotten it. Li Zijie, in his whole life, had never been so suffocated by anger that he nearly passed out. His nature, his principle had always been that of returning an eye for an eye. The idea that he would forget such a matter was utterly impossible! 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Today, having encountered Xiao Yi, he decided he would thoroughly annihilate this country bumpkin, to take fierce revenge for the breath he was denied that day.
"Is that so?"
Xiao Yi, looking at Li Zijie’s face brimming with arrogance and brazenness, caught a flicker of scorn and mockery in his own eyes. There weren’t many in this world who could ensure his death, and certainly, Li Zijie here was not one of them.
Nonetheless, it was indeed typical of the Li Family, to be so arrogantly spoken!
He recalled Li Ziming; in their previous encounters, he too was similarly arrogant, even the tone and expression when he spoke bore some resemblance.
Xiao Yi found the more he looked at Li Zijie, the more he resembled Li Ziming.
"Stinky boy, let’s see how long you can keep laughing!"
Li Zijie hadn’t expected Xiao Yi to remain unfazed and not panic in his presence, still standing calmly before him without a trace of fear on his face. He paused briefly, his expression faltering once more. He had dealt with many people, not just one or two, especially ordinary folks like Xiao Yi with their rural background. Typically, by this time, they would have turned pale and their legs weak already. Even if occasionally one appeared somewhat firm, maintaining a semblance of composure in look and tone, fear could still be discerned in their eyes.
