Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower-Chapter 563: Address
Grace, who had been following behind him, attempted to step forward as well.
But the moment she tried to cross the same invisible boundary, she also stopped abruptly.
Her eyes widened with confusion.
She turned toward him nervously. "What... what should we do now?"
Her voice trembled slightly.
The weather had already begun turning harsh.
Snowflakes slowly drifted down from the sky, and the cold air pierced through her ragged clothes like needles.
At first, Grace had believed that as long as the superior being remained by her side, she would never need to worry about survival.
But reality was far crueler. Now she barely had anything to eat.
She had almost nothing to wear. Even surviving each day had become a struggle.
The clothes she wore were little more than torn pieces of fabric she had scavenged from abandoned areas.
Her fingers were numb from the cold. Her lips had turned pale and cracked.
And yet the superior being seemed completely indifferent to her suffering.
He ignored her entirely. Instead, he narrowed his eyes while staring toward the distant base.
"We’ll wait."
His tone was emotionless. "We’ll find civilians."
With that simple statement, he began camping near the outskirts of the Ivy’s base.
Days passed slowly. Then weeks.
Finally, a full month went by. During that time, Damien grew increasingly irritated.
Grace, on the other hand, was already on the verge of death.
Food had become extremely scarce.
The civilians who occasionally left the base always traveled in groups, making it nearly impossible to capture one alone.
Because of that, Grace often went days without eating anything.
Her body grew weaker and weaker. At one point she began feeling strange symptoms.
Painful rashes appeared across her skin. At first she thought it was some kind of disease.
But soon she realized it was frostbite caused by the relentless cold.
Initially she still had enough strength to endure it silently.
But as the days passed, her limbs slowly grew numb.
Her fingers barely responded when she tried to move them.
Finally, one day... Her body gave out.
She collapsed helplessly onto the frozen ground. Regret surged through her mind like poison.
’If only I had stayed inside the base quietly... If I hadn’t bullied Mia and Ava...’
Perhaps her fate would have been different.
As she lay on the ground, her fading eyes looked toward the superior being nearby.
He stood there silently, staring at the base with intense focus as if nothing else in the world mattered.
Grace felt a bitter laugh forming inside her chest.
’I really wasted this life...’
With that thought, she slowly closed her eyes. She did not expect a peaceful death.
But one thing she knew clearly. She had made a deal with the devil.
Meanwhile, the superior being remained completely indifferent.
He noticed her fading life, but to him it meant nothing.
Grace was merely a disposable pawn.
Yet with a casual snap of his fingers, something changed.
A strange energy surged through Grace’s body.
Her dying heartbeat suddenly grew stronger.
Vitality rushed through her veins like fire spreading through dry wood.
Grace’s eyes snapped open in shock.
She gasped and sat up instantly, staring at her own hands in disbelief.
Life had returned to her body.
Her eyes sparkled with relief and gratitude. ’As long as I follow him... I won’t die.’
Clinging to that thought, she turned toward the superior being and asked cautiously,
"What are you planning now?"
However, he did not bother replying.
Grace was used to his silence by now. But suddenly his eyes lit up slightly.
Something had caught his attention.
In the next instant, his figure vanished with terrifying speed.
Grace watched in shock as he moved forward like a blur.
Not far away, several civilians had stopped walking in the snowy path.
Their eyes widened with alarm when they saw a familiar face appear in front of them.
Annie’s mother.
They immediately exchanged worried glances.
They remembered how this woman had suddenly rushed out from the prison area of the base earlier.
More importantly...
They had all seen the wanted posters that were now displayed across the entire base.
What the superior being did not know was that Ivy had already conducted detailed research based on Felix’s experiences.
From those clues, she had formed a rough understanding of what had happened.
To prevent civilians from being deceived, Ivy had ordered posters of Annie’s mother to be placed throughout the base.
Anyone who saw her would immediately recognize the danger.
Standing there now, the superior being inside Annie’s mother’s body looked at the civilians with an enthusiastic smile.
His voice sounded almost friendly.
"Hello everyone, can you tell me where this address is?"
He even took out a paper. "Its inside the base, but I don’t know the specific."
One of the civilians finally gathered enough courage to speak. He stepped forward slightly, rubbing his hands together nervously to keep them warm.
"If that’s the case," he muttered cautiously, "then you can just come inside the base yourself. There’s no need to ask us."
He scratched the back of his head awkwardly before continuing with a faint, embarrassed laugh.
"Besides... most of us here can barely read anything anyway."
The other civilians exchanged glances before nodding in agreement.
Their expressions slowly grew brighter as if they had just thought of a simple solution to the problem.
They all turned toward Annie’s mother and looked at her with eager expressions.
"We can help you," another civilian added quickly. "Just come with us inside the base. Whatever you need, we’ll figure it out."
Roma watched them quietly for a moment before nodding slowly.
"That sounds reasonable," he murmured.
However, he raised one hand slightly before anyone could move. "But first..."
He pulled a folded piece of paper from his pocket and unfolded it carefully. The paper looked worn and slightly damp from the snow.
"I want you to look at this address."
She tilted her head slightly while staring at them with an almost curious expression.
