Path to Immortality Begins With Marriage-Chapter 164: Luneth’s passion
"Also, if you don’t mind, is it fine if I just address you as husband instead of addressing you by your name?"
"After all, I feel that by addressing you with an intimate title, it would be able to help pull our relationship closer."
"What do you think, my little husband?"
Right as Luneth had finished speaking, she began looking affectionately at Sebastian while with a gentle smile on her face as she waited for Sebastian’s answer.
Looking at the gentle yet affectionate look that Luneth currently had on her face, if one didn’t know better, they may have thought that Luneth had been in love with Sebastian for a long time...
Completely unbeknownst to the fact that this was Luneth first time meeting with Sebastian, and it was only just a while ago that she had learned of Sebastian’s existence.
Meanwhile, right upon Sebastian was done hearing everything that Luneth had said and saw the way in which Luneth was looking at him as she waited for her answer...
With an extremely shocked look on his face, Sebastian could be seen opening his mouth a few times and trying to speak...
But nothing ended up coming out from his mouth due to how shocked he was feeling right now.
It was normal for Sebastian to feel extremely shocked right now.
After all, Sebastian initially expected that Luneth would speak and act solemnly, especially due to the fact that she was Bright Moon Sect’s master.
And even after he had married Luneth and had children with Luneth, he was expecting that Luneth would still continue on acting solemnly whenever she was communicating with him.
Never would Sebastian had expected that Luneth would act so passionately and amicably toward him, especially when factoring in the difference in both of their identities.
After a few fail attempts at speaking due to how shocked he was...
And more importantly, feeling that Luneth may merely just be teasing or testing him right now...
Sebastian looked over to Coril for help.
However, unexpected to Sebastian, right as he looked over to Coril for help, Coril could be seen looking at him with a confused look on his face, seemingly to be saying...
"What are you leaving the sect master hanging and looking at me for? Quickly respond to the sect master already!"
Upon seeing Coril’s reaction, Sebastian subconsciously took a glance at everyone else within the conference room.
And as he took a glance at everyone’s face, he realized that everyone had a calm look on their face, as if they felt that the way in which Luneth had acted and spoke to him was completely normal.
Though, if Sebastian were to look closely at Vanessa’s face, he would be able to see that Vanessa currently had a slightly dissatisfied look on her face, which was targeted at the way in which Luneth was acting despite the fact that she was Bright Moon Sect’s sect master.
However, because of the solemn look that Vanessa constantly had on her face, it was hard for Sebastian to spot the slight dissatisfaction that was on Vanessa’s face without looking closely at Vanessa’s face.
"...?"
"What’s going on? Did they not hear what the sect master just said to me...?"
"Or am I the one who is overreacting...?"
Upon thinking up to here, Sebastian looked back over to Luneth...
Then, with an awkward look on his face, Sebastian let out an awkward laugh, followed by cupping his hands at Luneth as he began speaking with a slightly nervous tone to his voice.
"Haha... Sect Master Luneth, is this some kind of test?"
"In any case, Sect Master Luneth, I wouldn’t dare to address you casually as Luneth."
"After all, if other disciples were to hear me addressing you casually by your name, it would be troublesome not only for me, but also for you."
Meanwhile, upon seeing Sebastian’s reaction and what Sebastian had said, the smile that was on Luneth’s face became a tiny bit genuine as she remained silent and began sizing Sebastian up and down while with a wry smile on her face.
On the other hand, when Coril heard what Sebastian had said to Luneth, then did Coril finally realized why Sebastian looked over to him a while ago, seemingly to be asking him for help.
"Sebastian, you don’t have to worry, this isn’t a test or anything."
"Since the sect master has decided to marry you, it means that the sect master is intending on forming a mutual beneficial relationship with you."
"Thus, it is only natural that the sect master wants to get closer to you as quickly as possible."
"Personally, I think that if you were to address the sect master casually as her name, and allow the sect master to address you with an intimate title..."
"It will indeed allow the two of you to get closer to each other quicker."
"So, what do you think, Sebastian?"
What Sebastian didn’t know was that, for cultivators such as Veronica and Luneth who had cultivated for hundreds of years...
When they had decided on making a decision that was going to greatly affect their futures, such as marrying Sebastian and gambling their future onto Sebastian’s sperm strengthening body...
It meant that they would do their best to make sure that everything would go as well as possible, so as to ensure that their gamble would work out in the end.
Thus, things such as embarrassment and reservedness...
Such emotions wouldn’t be able to hold them back at all, so long as it meant that they could improve their relationship with Sebastian and make Sebastian fall deep in love with them.
This was why Luneth acted so passionately and amicably to Sebastian despite the fact that this was currently the first time that she had met with Sebastian.
It was all so she could pull her relationship closer to Sebastian as soon as possible.
Perhaps Luneth’s actions may not be completely genuine, and there was a motive toward her actions.
But then again, does it really matter?
What truly mattered was that Luneth didn’t mean Sebastian any harm, and that she was truly trying to improve her relationship with Sebastian.
