Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 550 - 553: Sophie Sullivan, You Better Not Betray Me
Thomas Shannon lowered the hand that was massaging his forehead, his cold eyes glancing sharply at Charlie River. "What identity?"
In Country J, who else could she be with?
Other than Frank Mitchell, who else could it be?
Charlie River said, "It’s the son of Duke Charles of Country F, His Highness Lucifer."
"Country F?" Thomas Shannon’s cold eyes narrowed dangerously. "What does the maniac have to do with the people of Country F?"
How could she get to know Lucifer of Country F out of the blue?
"Young Master, we haven’t found out about this yet. However, the maniac is indeed with His Highness Lucifer now, in the same hotel."
Charlie River added, "Moreover, that hotel has been booked entirely by Lucifer."
Thomas Shannon sneered. He’s really playing quite a romantic hand.
What could he be doing with the maniac by booking an entire hotel?
The fleet sped towards the hotel. Thomas Shannon closed his eyes, his thoughts a complex tangle in his mind.
Sophie Sullivan, you’d better not betray me...
「It was already deep into the night.」
Sophie Sullivan went into the restroom, took a bath, brushed her teeth, and prepared for bed.
Lucifer suddenly knocked on her bedroom door.
Sophie Sullivan, wearing a sleep gown, opened the door. "What’s the matter, Lucifer?"
"My dear." The corner of Lucifer’s mouth hooked slightly. He reached out his hand, and Sophie Sullivan hesitantly placed hers in it.
Lucifer held her hand, bowed his head, and pressed a kiss to the back of her hand. "That fellow you’re afraid of is here. Do you want to leave or stay?"
"Who?" Sophie Sullivan thought she had misheard.
Whom was she afraid of?
Who else could she be afraid of now, other than Thomas Shannon?
She stared at Lucifer suspiciously. "Don’t tell me he’s the same one I’m thinking of."
Lucifer smiled faintly and nodded. "That’s right."
"Thomas Shannon is here?!"
"Yes, he’s about to arrive at the hotel. Cecilia Branford, do you want to stay, or do you want to leave?"
Stay or leave?
Sophie Sullivan didn’t even have to think before saying, "Of course, I’ll stay."
Since Thomas Shannon had chased her here, it meant her whereabouts were still under his control.
If she left now, she would never be able to clear her name of the accusation of betrayal.
"Alright, I respect your choice." Lucifer looked regretful. He had thought his Cecilia Branford would choose to leave.
How terrible.
It seemed that Thomas Shannon was indeed a formidable opponent.
"Lucifer, you won’t let me get hurt, will you?" To be on the safe side, Sophie Sullivan confirmed it with him again.
Just in case Thomas Shannon lost his temper later, someone would be there to save her.
Lucifer pursed his lips, looking annoyed. "Cecilia Branford, did you forget what I told you?"
"I didn’t forget, I just wanted to confirm. Why are you being so serious?"
Lucifer crossed his arms over his chest, clearly irritated. "The words I’ve spoken to you will always count!"
Looking at Lucifer, who was putting on such a serious display of anger, Sophie Sullivan felt helpless. She raised her hand and patted his enchantingly handsome face. "Alright, I remember. Don’t be upset."
"You didn’t call me ’dear’."
Sophie Sullivan’s eyes filled with suspicion. "Were we really this... cloying before?"
"It’s not about being cloying, it’s etiquette! You didn’t even give me a cheek-to-cheek greeting when you saw me!"
Sophie Sullivan was completely defeated by Lucifer. She tiptoed and gave him a passionate cheek-to-cheek greeting.
As their cheeks touched and she made a kissing sound, Lucifer was finally satisfied. "Alright, Cecilia Branford, let’s get ready to greet that fellow."
"His name is Thomas Shannon," Sophie Sullivan corrected.
