Lucifer blinked, his beautiful eyes, as clear and blue as the sea, looking at her innocently. "Cecilia Branford, you’re biased."
"How am I biased?"
Lucifer shrugged and spread his hands helplessly. "Ignorance is no crime. I destroyed it without knowing what it was." Does she only care about whether Thomas Shannon will be angry or not?
"What else?" Sophie Sullivan waited for him to continue.
Lucifer’s lips curled into a dangerously alluring smile. "Even if Thomas Shannon gets angry, it doesn’t matter. I will protect you."
He gently touched her cheek. "Remember this, Cecilia Branford?"
This time, I will protect you. I’ll never let you get hurt again. Nobody can hurt you. Even if it’s Thomas Shannon... the same applies!
