Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 671 - 663: I’ll Let Her Go to You (Part Six)
"Everyone out, you are not allowed to come in without my orders."
After giving orders to his bodyguards, Charles looked toward Xiang Yiqing, "Young man, you should step outside as well."
The tone was indifferent, yet it carried an unquestionable authority.
Before Yiqing could react, Ji Mingyue struggled to her feet, enduring the pain and cursed at Charles vehemently: "Charles, you old bastard, do you think you’re God?"
"How did you know?" Charles raised an eyebrow in surprise.
That expression clearly stated: You’re speaking the truth; I am God.
Through Ji Mingyue’s eyes, he was nothing but a shameless charlatan, an old lecher dressed in scholarly attire, a gangster underneath a cultured veneer.
As Ji Mingyue’s emotions still hadn’t settled, Xiang Yiqing stood up and faced Charles. He was slightly taller than Charles, and he even slightly tilted his chin up, looking unapologetically at Charles who embodied both nobility and elegance, and said coldly, "Mr. Charles, though this is our first meeting, I have heard quite a lot about you. We will settle the matter of Mingyue being shot at your place in due time. Now, please leave."
Charles still smiled faintly at him, "The young man’s words may not be pleasant to hear, but the attitude is commendable."
With that, he shifted his gaze toward Ji Mingyue, "Miss Fourth, there is something about your family that I think you’ll definitely want to hear."
Upon hearing this, Yiqing was taken aback. He immediately grasped Charles’s arm and dragged him towards the door, "Mr. Charles, please step outside."
Charles was somewhat displeased now, he frowned, and with a gloomy face, threatened Yiqing, "Young man, you didn’t bring anyone with you, did you? I don’t mind using numbers to my advantage to have you carried out." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Yiqing remained fearless, but Ji Mingyue spoke up, "Yiqing, you go outside for a moment."
"Mingyue!" Yiqing turned his head, looking at Ji Mingyue with a face full of concern.
Ji Mingyue repeated what she had just said, "Please, go outside for a moment."
Her emotions seemed calmer than before, but Yiqing still looked at her with concern.
Ji Mingyue realized his concern, and gave him a reassuring smile, "I’m fine now."
"Mr. Charles." Yiqing knew what Charles was about to say to Ji Anning; he could think of no better way to stop him.
However, Ji Mingyue seemed to have a bad premonition by now. She thought some things are bound to be known eventually, they cannot always be hidden, especially since she had no way to deal with him now.
Yiqing left the hospital room, and not long after, Charles came out.
He had his hands in the pockets of his crisp suit trousers, and as he brushed past Yiqing, their eyes met briefly. The scholarly tranquility of Yiqing and the arrogance of Charles represented two completely different styles.
It was hard to decide a victor.
After just a glance, Yiqing stepped into the room.
The first thing he saw upon entering the room was the sparkling diamond ring on the ring finger of Ji Mingyue’s hand resting at the edge of the bed.
It was the very one Charles had just brought.
Yiqing furrowed his brows, his gaze shifting to Ji Mingyue’s face. In such a short time, her eyes had already swelled from crying.
He walked over quickly, "Mingyue."
"Get out!" Ji Mingyue glared furiously at Yiqing, pointing at the door and bellowing at him, "Yiqing, get the hell out of here. I never want to see you or Ji Chicheng again."
