Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 265 - 259 Sharing a Bed Together (Part 3)
As she spoke, she gave Ji Chicheng a playful roll of her eyes, took a few steps, and entered the bathroom. As soon as she got in, she closed the door and locked it.
The sounds of the door closing and locking were loud, signalling to the person outside that she was feeling emotional.
...
After freshening up, Ji Anning stood in front of the mirror, gazing at her own face. She hesitated, then pulled out the elastic band holding her hair up. Her long hair cascaded down like smooth, black satin.
Although she usually tied her hair loosely, there was still a mark. She wet her comb and brushed back and forth until the mark was less noticeable.
She put down the comb, smiled satisfactorily at her reflection, and then opened the door to go out.
Upon leaving the bathroom, the first place Ji Anning looked was where Ji Chicheng had been sitting, but his figure was no longer there.
"Uncle?"
She called out in confusion, then turned her gaze toward her room with the door ajar. She walked over.
Just as she expected, the man was standing in front of her window, looking down at the outside world. The sunlight highlighted his tall silhouette, making him shine with a brilliance that was both dazzling and stunning.
Ji Anning’s mouth fell open for a moment before she silently pressed her lips together again. She tiptoed behind the man and wrapped her arms around him.
With her face against his back, she inhaled the fragrance of his white shirt. "Uncle, I’m going to miss you," she murmured.
Ji Chicheng shifted his gaze from the window to look at the hands Anning had wrapped around his waist. Pale, delicate, and slender, they stirred a sense of tenderness in him.
He placed his large hand over her small ones, his thumb gently caressing the back of her hand—a gesture that spoke of his reluctance to part. "Next time, I’ll take you wherever I go," he said.
Everything turned tender.
Ji Anning obediently nodded, "Mm."
"I still have an hour to spend with you," Ji Chicheng said, glancing at his wristwatch.
"Let’s go eat."
Anning released Chicheng’s hand and took his, leading him away.
Chicheng smiled, letting Anning pull him along. He loved this feeling, loved it very much...
’When I run away, I’ll definitely take you with me. I won’t leave you behind.’
...
The area was bustling, but lacked high-end restaurants. After touring around with Ji Chicheng, Ji Anning eventually settled for the only somewhat upscale pizza place they could find.
Having tried a portion of pasta that was not to her taste, Anning only ate a few bites. Upon exiting, she saw a fish ball skewer cart across the street, steaming invitingly.
Her eyes lit up with appetite. "I still have five minutes; I’ll go buy some skewers," she said.
After notifying Chicheng, she hurried toward the fish ball skewer cart. Chicheng had mentioned he had to leave in an hour, and now only five minutes remained. Reaching the cart, Anning urgently urged the vendor, "Boss, give me five skewers, and please be quick."
"Right away," the vendor responded, immediately packing the skewers as Anning had asked.
Anning turned to call for Chicheng, but he was already behind her, hands casually tucked into his trouser pockets, his indifferent expression and clean aura out of place in the noisy old street.
As he approached, Anning reached out to grab his wrist and pulled him over.
Just as the vendor finished packing, "Miss, your five skewers are ready."
Anning took them with one hand and let go of Chicheng’s hand with the other as she prepared to take out her money.
