Chapter 665: Chapter 409: Variety Show Filming (Part 4) Flaunting Their Relationship From Afar

"Power outage! Power outage! Cut the power to their room! Let’s see how she uses the power drill now!"

"What’s happening with the female ghost? Get her out quickly! Is the ventilation duct open?!"

"Give the order immediately, implement the emergency plan!"

...

A chaotic commotion ensued.

While the recording in rooms 305 and 309 proceeded normally, with each guest getting more frightened than the last, Nora Scott in room 306 single-handedly scared the entire production team witless.

Nora’s unexpected maneuvers caught everyone off guard, leaving them defenseless.

—— When you think all you need to watch out for is her combat prowess, she’s already ingeniously brought along a variety of highly destructive tools.

*

Room 306.

A hole was smashed in the door, and the dim light from the hallway spilled in. As Nora looked up, she found herself face to face with an evil spirit that had rushed over at the sound.

Jerry Yates took one look and felt chills down his spine, stepping back half a pace.

The evil spirit’s makeup was incredibly scary, yet at the instant it unexpectedly faced off with Nora, she swung a punch that hit its chin. Even though she had held back her strength, the spirit staggered backward a step, utterly bewildered.

"Ah, sorry."

Nora, holding an iron hammer, realized her mistake and apologized to the male ghost. Her makeup was exquisite without any hint of ferocity, but her composed demeanor inexplicably made one’s hair stand on end.

Male ghost: "..."

Damn it, who’s the real ghost here?

At that moment, Nora raised an eyebrow at him, her eyes mixed with a hint of amusement, and asked, "Step out means certain death?"

The male ghost looked bewildered until he got a prompt through his earpiece from the production team. Only then did he nod at Nora.

"Oh."

Nora responded, surprisingly withdrawing the hammer without forcing the unopenable lock open.

She smashed the door open not with any other intention but just to see what the hallway was like. — The peephole was blocked, so she had to use other means.

The tools in the box were purely for emergencies, just in case.

She didn’t intend to constantly oppose the production team.

Meanwhile—

The lights in the corridor and the room suddenly went dark, plunging the surroundings into darkness.

"The power’s out."

Jerry Yates spoke in a low voice, goosebumps rising as he immediately went on high alert in case something unexpected happened in the room.

And, in the next second—

A sudden beam of light came from Nora’s direction; it was a flashlight illuminating the space.

He turned around, startled, to see Nora lift her hand and toss another flashlight over to him.

Nora smiled, her lips curling, "Perfect, I happened to throw two flashlights in the box."

Jerry Yates: "..."

So the production team gave you the "Doraemon" role, huh?!

Just as he was speechless, Jerry suddenly heard some noise from inside the room. His eyelid twitched as he listened closely, only to find out the sound originated from—the big bed!

Jerry and Nora took a few steps closer, both holding their flashlights to shine on it.

The female ghost crawling out from the crack in the middle of the big bed: "..."

The production team waiting to give the two a scare under the blackout: "..."

The three pairs of eyes stared at each other, and for a moment, the terrifying atmosphere was completely replaced by awkwardness.

Nora raised her hand, rubbing her fingers against her nose, feeling embarrassed for the female ghost.

As for Jerry, the female ghost’s appearance was so shocking he got startled, his hand trembling slightly as he held the flashlight, but he quickly steadied himself.

—— Knowing it was fake, he wasn’t as scared anymore.

The female ghost was on the verge of tears.

But, the act had to go on.

So, right in front of Nora and Jerry, under their calm gazes, the female ghost crawled out from the bed. Then, using her flexible and soft body, she directly climbed into the ventilation duct, which had somehow been opened, and slowly crawled away, disappearing without a trace.

Jerry + Nora: "..." Silently watching your awkward performance.

Production team: "..." If you take tools inside again, they’ll all commit collective suicide.

"You have one hour to leave your current room and reach room 307. Once the time is exceeded, you will be eliminated for good."

A voice, modified by a voice changer, suddenly sounded from the broadcast in every room.

But Nora abruptly smiled.

—— So he really got into this role.

Pedro Langley was probably reading from a script, but it’s really hard to change the tone of a person when they speak. Even with the voice altered, Nora could tell it was him.

Slightly squinting, Nora stepped back a bit, looked up, her dark bright eyes facing the nearest camera, and raised her eyebrows slightly, "You sent the invitation, right? Is there a reward for finishing early?"

"...Yes."

A conversation beyond the script.

The staff were all at a loss.

However, thinking about the mysterious broadcaster’s identity, they didn’t dare defy and all lowered their heads, pretending to have heard nothing.

—— Whatever you do, as long as it’s fun to watch, they love this dog food for sure.

Nora and Jerry were both stunned to actually get a response.

And, those in rooms 305 and 309, without knowing Nora’s question, only hearing one "yes" from the mysterious person, couldn’t help but be baffled.

Later, after thinking about it a lot, they assumed it was a mistake by the production team.

"Let’s start."

Throwing the flashlight up and catching it again, Nora strolled inward.

Jerry was stunned, "Start what?"

Nora laughed, glancing back at him, speaking as if it were a matter of course, "Escape from the enclosed room and head to the opposite side."

She spoke with incredible confidence, as if leaving this enclosed room was just a matter of "wanting or not wanting" for her.
