Chapter 53: High-Tier Max Difficulty, Traing In Monster Geno Art

[Monster Geno Arts selection. Please choose one.]

1. [Blightshade Bloomcaller—Poison/Nature—Support/Controller type. Difficulty: ☆☆☆]

2. [Frostbane Feral Drake—Frost/Beast—Berserker type. Difficulty: ☆☆☆]

3. [Embercoil Hex Sermeister—Fire/Curse—Sorcerer type. Difficulty: ☆☆☆]

’Interesting. So I guess one-star to three-star is like a low-tier section.’

John fell into thought. He wasn’t going to train in any of these whatever he selected in the end. So his only option was to sell it in a legit way to benefit as much as possible.

’If the Nexus city is so big and prominent where the strongest powers of this Gratar Continent are concentrated, then I should sell it when I go there.’

Selling this in Tamer’s Market was courting death.

The ruling sects controlled the flow of Monster Geno Arts, as only they possessed the complete ones with stages up to Sovereign-rank while the rest of the sects only had Monster Geno Arts up to King-rank, with some having Emperor-rank, but only allowed because of the deals with the Nexus city.

Hence, most sects had their physical strengthening capped at 500 STR - SPD - DEF at the foundation while Emperor-rank Tamers could have stats as much as 1000 in all three and Sovereign-rank could have five times as much as Emperor-rank, making Apex Tamers.

The reason for the limitation was to make sure they got most of the good Tamers. Even Tamers from other sects would join Nexus City’s forces or the five ruling sects because that was the only way to progress forward.

Naturally, there were also solo Tamers who somehow got their hands on proper and even rare Monster Geno Arts during their adventures in the Mysrin Archipelago, the hottest place for Tamers of the Gratar continent and Welshwing Continent.

And he would have to be one of them solo Tamers with his second identity and acquire some means to properly escape after shitting on rules and regulations.

Sage Kindred must become a gateway for him to establish a prominent figure in this world and to use his powers openly to benefit himself because if John Wicked was exposed, it would spell disaster.

Things he can’t do as John Wicked must be done as Sage Kindred. This was the reason for making his second identity.

And so, he already planned to sell one of these low-tier Monster Geno Arts in an auction as the mysterious Sage Kindred.

If the High-tier one turned out to be worse than the one he got from Ouroboros Library, he would also sell it, but he had a feeling it was going to be better.

’The only problem is...either way, I have to somehow train in the Ouroboros Hall’s Monster Geno Art and show it outward as John Wicked. Hmm, I’ll have to see how flexible the Spirit Physique is at switching Monster Geno Arts.’

’One for Sage Kindered, and one for John Wicked.’

John sighed. If only he had more knowledge about training Monster Geno Arts on Spirit Physique, he wouldn’t have to experiment.

But there was no other choice.

John put away the low-tier box. He didn’t want to select one right away as he wasn’t going to sell it yet because he had to get some tricks to escape successfully.

Against high-ranking Tamers, his Umbra Drift won’t be enough. He would have more skills or rather a Monster Geno Art.

’Please, get me someone good.’

The box flickered with colorful lights in its sci-fi patterns before a hologram sprung up, showing the list.

[Monster Geno Arts selection. Please choose one.]

1. [Thundertide Skybreaker Ray—Storm/Light—Skirmisher type. Difficulty: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆]

2. [Aethergleam Prism Warden—Crystal/Metal—Tank/Buffer type. Difficulty: ☆☆☆☆☆]

3. [Astralborn Nihirius Drifter—Space/Gravity—Drifter/Reaper type. Difficulty: ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆]

’Ten-fucking stars?’ John was dumbfounded as he looked at the third option. ’I guess that’s highest in the High-tier section.’

John’s eyes gleamed with thrill as he already began dreaming about doing crazy shit with space and gravity, but he ended his daydreams soon as he knew nothing was achievable that easy.

’But it should be possible for me at least. I am going to learn this shit.’ John selected the 3rd option without hesitation.

Shortly, a shimmering glassy blue scroll with golden and silver patterns appeared, its material fully semi-metallic, shimmering.

As he opened it, the scroll displayed a complex array of diagrams connecting gleaming dark gold dots with black lines, ultimately creating a strange symbol.

Usually, Tamers would have to complete this symbol by studying these dots and finding them in their bodies while following the method of training.

The scroll had a lot of details as there was a page number above, and it could shift to the second page by simply replacing the content of the scroll.

It was different from the scrolls that were imprinted within him when he touched Ouroboros Library’s Bloodlash Veinforge Strider monster geno art, and Blood Allow Sculpting soul technique.

Those two mental scrolls he had in his mind could lengthen very long with all the information. fгeewebnovёl.com

The Monster Geno Art’s scroll was 3 meters long while the Soul Technique’s scroll was one meter long.

This ten-star difficulty high-tier Monster Geno Art had 28 pages, so it was definitely way longer.

As John flipped the pages, he saw the steps and life-like animated guide on how to connect dots and such to ultimately create that symbol with the nexus in the middle on the first page.

As John read the resources section, which was the most important, he couldn’t help but blink a few times, his excitement rising.

Generally, he would need Space and gravity-attributed resources to train in this art, but there were alternate methods of acquiring powers of Space and Gravity to cultivate this Monster Geno Art.

’Hmmm, although the methods of absorbing Space and Gravity spiritual powers are a bit dangerous, it’d be fine as long as I am prepared and armed with a proper arsenal of skills.’

But now that he selected such a difficult and high-effort Monster Geno Art, he would have to take a bit more time to prepare his Sage Kindred fully.

’Nevertheless, my current priority is training in Bloodlash Veinforge Strider and Blood Alloy Sculpting to show the Ouroboros Sect my power and achieve top five in the coming competition so I can go the Nexus City next month, 79 days later.’

John opened his eyes and vanished, appearing in the middle of the football field.

"Sorry for the disturbance, but I need the two of you to aid me in training. Alfred and Merc, come to the Vermillion Canopy."

After saying that, John vanished and his avatar appeared back at the Vermilloon Canopy.

Alfred and Merc, who was none other than the Metal Merc Tigerfiend, the first Monster he captured from that island.

Alfred had Blood Mastery and Merc had Metal Mastery.

As such, all he needed was to tell them to give him Blood and Metal energy by consuming their soul energy, so he could use those energies and train in his Monster Geno Art, which was of Blood and Metal attribute.

Of course, he would eventually need some potent resources as Alfred and Merc’s energy would only help until he reached the peak of the Bronze-stage, which was having 50 - 50 - 50 in the three stats.

To break through to the Silver-stage, he would need Silver-rank resources of Blood and Metal, which he would be able to buy easily thanks to the 5000 Silver Essence Coins he got as a reward.

...

John began training by following the method in the scroll, and using his soul energy to open spots in his Spirit Physique and connect them according to the instruction using Blood and Metal energy, completing the main step—creating the nexus, where the atmospheric spirit energy would be pulled in.

From there, the Tamer must follow the circulation method. The speed of circulation depended on the Tamer’s concentration and control, so everyone progressed differently, though having an affinity with matching attributes would have less difficulty initially.

John had an affinity with Blood and Metal affinity, which was why he got matching attributes Geno Art and Soul Technique.

And so, John had completed the nexus in just half an hour.

Just like many other Tamers who were training, the atmospheric spirit energy began whirling around John as well before getting absorbed in his nexus.

He completed the Bronze-stage Nexus, so he sent Alfred and Merc back to the football field to have fun, while he began circulating the spirit energy through the spirit physique from the Nexus.

Instantly, John began feeling powerful.

’It worked! Spirit Physique method is correct.’

The other Tamers would create a nexus in the mindscape, with lines connected to their flesh and blood instead of in Spirit Physique as John did. As such, removing Geno Art practiced via that method was painful.

Maybe it was John’s Spirit Physique style or his talent, but shortly after he started the circulation method, the intensity of spirit energy whirling around him was increasing every couple of seconds.

And in just a minute, the students were dumbfounded while Lesly couldn’t believe her eyes.

"What the hell?"

"What kind of speed is that?!"

"Shit...it’s like I am watching an executive of our sect training."

"Hall Elder Lesly, why is John’s training speed so intense and fast?"

"That..." Lesly wryly smiled. "It just means his control is very precise such that the attraction his nexus generates from completely fast and perfect circulation is way more than others."

Internally, she felt shaken. ’Even I am not that fast! That’s the control level of Executives...’

Lesly couldn’t help but wonder what kind of Monster this John was.

’It looks like Azelis may have really brought a hidden gem here. With this speed, he would be able to catch up to Rakin and other top Silver-rank Tamers for sure.’

’The only caveat would be his combat ability and training of Monsters. If he is good in those, I don’t think it’s impossible for him to get the ticket to the Nexus City Tournament.’
