Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Who’s More Handsome?

From the downstairs of her building to lying on her bed at home, Scarlett Shaw’s mind was shrouded in a fog, her whole body feeling limp.

Even in her dreams, there was Julian Ford, that sly fox, smiling in a way that made her heart flutter. He skillfully pinched the back of her neck, calmly yet playfully saying, "Playing hard to get with me?"

She bravely asked directly, "Do you like it?"

"Hmm, I like it."

Julian Ford said.

This beautiful dream of Scarlett’s was interrupted by a call from Yana Yarrow.

"Scarlett, can you come to the hospital?" Yana’s voice was weak, "I got into a car accident."

With this heavy bombshell from Yana, Scarlett’s sweet dream shattered into pieces. She quickly got up, washed up, and without wasting a moment, arrived at the hospital half an hour later.

Finding the ward Yana texted about, Scarlett pushed the door open and saw Yana lying on one bed, arm in a sling and leg in a plaster cast.

As for the other bed—

Sorry, the face was wrapped so much like a mummy that Scarlett couldn’t recognize it.

So she automatically dismissed it as a stranger, ignoring it and walked worriedly to Yana’s bedside, "Yana, how are your injuries?"

"Fractures in my hand and foot, need at least half a month to heal."

Yana sighed, looking at Scarlett with pleading eyes, saying:

"Scarlett, I need to keep this from my family. I’ll have to trouble you to come to the hospital often during this time."

Without hesitation, Scarlett agreed.

However, she was a bit puzzled, "What exactly happened? How did the accident occur? Did you hit someone, or were you hit?"

Yana lifted her uninjured arm and pointed to the mummy on the next bed, "It’s all his fault."

Scarlett turned her head to look.

The mummy: "*****!!!"

The man groaned and complained for a while, but Scarlett didn’t catch any of it; she just had a hunch that he might be cursing.

Moreover, the voice sounded somewhat familiar.

Scarlett asked Yana, "Is this the driver who caused the accident?"

Yana: "He was distracted while driving and got me hurt."

So, it turns out these two were in the same vehicle.

It seems this mummy was indeed an acquaintance.

Scarlett realized this when the mummy, in a fit of excitement, popped open the buttons of his ill-fitted hospital gown, revealing a noticeable muscular chest. She was taken aback, "Jasper Spencer?!"

Scarlett’s eyes widened like saucers.

"How could your driving skills cause such a crash? And Yana was in your car. Even if you were speeding, you should have considered her safety."

Jasper Spencer: "*****!"

Scarlett frowned, "Why are you cursing again?"

Jasper, who was more severely injured than Yana, had only one hand barely able to move. He reached for his phone on the side table and began typing angrily, as if he could smash the phone screen with his intensity.

Soon, Scarlett’s phone buzzed.

It was a message from Jasper Spencer: She distracted my driving, caused me not to drive for at least half a year, I’m going to sue her!

Yana leaned beside Scarlett and saw the message, glaring at Jasper and scolding, "You were the one playing with your phone while driving, speeding like you were rushing to reincarnate, and you never forgot to tip off Zoe Sutton. I tried to stop you from doing bad things and grabbed your phone. Jasper, do you have any shame!"

Jasper’s only visible eyes under the bandage widened too.

He typed furiously: What did I tip her off about?!

Yana: "Your phone had photos of Scarlett and Julian being all lovey-dovey. Dare you say you weren’t planning to send them to Zoe Sutton?"

Scarlett: "..."

A few days ago, if Yana had said this, Scarlett would have confidently denied it.

But last night...

Thinking of Julian Ford’s demeanor, openly and subtly luring her, Scarlett’s face involuntarily heated up.

Yana turned her head and noticed Scarlett’s flushed ears, curious, "Scarlett, why are you blushing?"

Feeling guilty, Scarlett touched her nose and said, "The air conditioning is too high, I’m short of breath."

Just as she finished speaking, Jasper suddenly threw his phone over, aiming for Yana’s head. Yana reacted quickly, dodging it, wanting to scold, but Jasper pointed to his phone instead.

Scarlett and Yana both leaned in, and on the screen were the chat logs between Jasper Spencer and Zoe Sutton.

It was a clear invitation for them to see for themselves.

Yana didn’t hold back, scrolling back to ages ago. Upon seeing Jasper’s early bootlicking messages, her expression turned like an awkward subway grandpa meme, but to her surprise, Jasper indeed never sent those photos to Zoe Sutton.

And in recent times, Zoe Sutton had urged him several times, yet Jasper didn’t respond.

Scarlett didn’t scrutinize like Yana, just glanced casually, and her gaze fell on Jasper Spencer.

He had already turned his back to them, clearly sulking because of the misunderstanding and the accident.

Although Scarlett usually sided with family over justice, thinking of Jasper’s love for racing, she softly said to Yana:

"Yana, Jasper probably really didn’t send them. You know him better than I do, his personality wouldn’t allow him to delete chat records, right?"

Yana pressed her lips together, glanced at Jasper.

Softly said, "My bad."

Jasper ignored them. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Yana suddenly jumped out of bed and hopped on one foot to Jasper’s bedside, sincerely saying, "I’m sorry."

The man’s broad back stiffened slightly, but he still paid no heed.

Scarlett helped Yana back to bed, comforting her, "Jasper is probably still angry, Yana, take care of your injury first, talk about it when you’re healed."

Yana looked at Jasper’s back twice, nodded.

For two days in a row, after work, Scarlett went straight to the hospital.

Both Yana and Jasper were injured, keeping it from their families, needed someone close to take care of them.

Scarlett, being Yana’s good sister, and since this incident was partially Yana’s impulse, occasionally looked after Jasper too.

Jasper had some bandages removed from his face, his face now visible with gauze on his forehead. Yana joked upon seeing it, "Jasper, don’t keep a stiff face, being unhappy and mindless is not good for your wound healing."

Jasper sneered, "Try having a scar on your face."

"Scars on men are the coolest. You look especially handsome now, very manly, almost like Capitoline’s battle wolf." Yana lavishly praised, showering compliments, and pulled Scarlett along, "Scarlett, don’t you agree?"

Scarlett scooped the porridge she made in the morning into two bowls, giving one to Yana, the other to Jasper, while saying cooperatively, "That’s right, Jasper you look the best."

"Who’s more handsome, me or Julian Ford?"

Scarlett paused her action, Yana frantically gave her signals: humor him.

Scarlett spoke insincerely, "Of course, you’re more handsome, Julian Ford compared to you, is at least a hundred Aaron Carsons behind."

To easily take care of them both, Scarlett sat between their two beds.

At the moment, she was giving porridge to Jasper, her back facing the ward door.

So she had no idea when Julian Ford appeared at the ward door.
