Chapter 352: Chapter 335: London–Norway

On the second day in London, Simon Forrester took Sienna Thornton to explore the University of London, and in the evening, they visited a friend’s house, returning to the hotel after ten.

"Aiden and I both earned our PhDs in architecture from Cambridge University. After getting my degree, I chose to start my own business, while he began teaching at the University of London."

Seated in the backseat of the taxi, Simon Forrester leaned back.

He had a couple of drinks in the evening, making his face a little flushed, and was chatting with Sienna Thornton, "Ever since I decided to switch careers, I’ve been in touch with Aiden, hoping he’d return to Brimfield to take the position of director and chief designer at SY Architectural Design Firm. But he clearly loves teaching more and remains indecisive."

"Hmm," Sienna Thornton chimed in, "That’s why he wants to go to Cambridgeshire with you tomorrow to see the professor, right? To seek the professor’s advice?"

Simon Forrester nodded with a smile.

Sienna Thornton asked, "If the professor doesn’t approve, does that mean he definitely won’t go to SY?"

"Yes."

"If that’s the case, what do you plan to do?"

Simon Forrester took a deep breath and tapped his forehead helplessly, "Until I find the right person, Logan Lockwood will take the position temporarily, but even that’s uncertain, as his father is always urging him to take over the family business."

Sienna Thornton knew Simon Forrester genuinely loved architecture, or he wouldn’t have left the Forrester Group to Bianca Fordham to handle as she pleased. To him, ideals and interests likely outweighed money greatly. If it weren’t for unforeseen circumstances, he probably wouldn’t have considered switching careers so easily.

Sienna Thornton said nothing, simply snuggling into his arms.

She could neither persuade him against switching careers nor offer any advice in his professional field, so she chose to offer silent support.

.

The next day, Aiden Chaucer drove, along with Mrs. Chaucer, and the four of them traveled from London to Cambridgeshire, successfully meeting Simon Forrester and Aiden’s doctoral advisor.

The professor was quite aged, sporting a white bushy beard, resembling any average British old man one might see on the streets of London.

It wasn’t until Mrs. Chaucer discreetly reminded her that Sienna realized the seemingly ordinary British old man before her was actually a world-renowned master architect. Numerous super skyscrapers in Zahrat and Arcadia were led in design by him.

Simon Forrester and Aiden Chaucer were cooped up in the professor’s office for several hours before finally emerging at around eight in the evening.

Sienna Thornton and Mrs. Chaucer, who had strolled around Cambridge University and had dinner together, hurried to meet them upon seeing the office door open.

Sienna Thornton carefully observed Simon Forrester’s expression, noting his relaxed demeanor, and knew that Aiden Chaucer must have agreed to return home to take up the role of director at SY Design Firm.

Sure enough, on the way to the hotel, Aiden Chaucer, who was driving, said, "I’ve focused mostly on teaching over the past few years and haven’t worked on many projects, which worries me a bit."

"It’s fine," Simon Forrester replied with a relaxed tone, "I’ll leave Harrison Rowe to assist you. With him around, the projects won’t fall apart, and I’ll still be a design consultant for SY, so it’s not like everything will suddenly be thrust upon you."

Without another word, Aiden Chaucer shook hands with Simon Forrester upon exiting the car, "Looking forward to our cooperation! I’ll notify you as soon as my work transition is ready."

The handshake and brief conversation between the men were firm and concise.

Simon Forrester nodded with a smile and stepped out of the car.

Sienna Thornton exchanged pleasantries with Mrs. Chaucer and got off the car too.

They entered the hotel only after the car left their sight.

Having resolved a major issue, Simon Forrester felt relaxed and cheerful, wrapping his arm around Sienna Thornton’s shoulder as they headed to the hotel restaurant, "Let’s go, Queen of the Jungle! I’ll treat you to extra meat tonight."

Seeing his happiness, Sienna Thornton also felt cheerful, "Yay! Meat! But I’ve already had dinner, so I can only have a little bit."

"We’ll see about that," Simon Forrester teased.

Noticing his playful hint at her contradicting words, Sienna Thornton playfully slapped his arm, mockingly annoyed, "You’re awful, I don’t want to talk to you! Stop asking me!"

.

During the trip to Britione, Sienna Thornton visited the two places she wanted to see the most, the University of London and Cambridge University. Simon Forrester’s matters were also settled, and the two happily headed to the last stop of their honeymoon—Norway.

It was Simon Forrester who suggested visiting Norway to see the Aurora Borealis, though he had already seen it while studying in Britione. He only revisited to experience it with Sienna Thornton.

A decade prior, during his first year in Cambridge, he and a few classmates traveled to Norway for the Aurora Borealis adventure. The classmates mostly brought their girlfriends, and while the couples warmed up in tents waiting for the aurora, Simon was alone. Hence, after starting a relationship with Sienna Thornton, he insisted on bringing her to Norway to experience the aurora and tent stay, intending to compensate for the frustration of being single and "force-fed dog food" then.

Sienna was oblivious to all of this and was currently struggling to tug off her wool pants inside the tent.

Prior to departure, she did her research and checked the weather, which indicated temperatures may drop to minus twenty degrees in Norway, prompting her to bring wool pants, sweaters, and heating pads from home.

Upon reaching Arktos, however, it didn’t feel as cold as expected, with the temperature resembling Brimfield’s winter, making both the wool pants and heating pads cumbersome.

Simon Forrester, having been outside to admire the scenery, returned to find Sienna seated on the bed with a flushed face, assuming she fell ill and swiftly went to hold her arm, asking, "What’s wrong? Feeling unwell?"

"No," Sienna sweatily kicked her legs, "These wool pants are too hot, making me restless!"

She said this with a hint of irritation.

Simon Forrester glanced downward, discovering her clad in a pair of tight, thick black wool pants, quickly bending over to help her pull down the pant legs. Together, they finally pulled off that troublesome woolen garment.

With thermals still worn underneath, Sienna sat on the bed, panting and sweating profusely.

Simon Forrester looked at the wool pants in his hands, which were knit with a thick layer of fleece inside, clearly too small per the size intended, and remarked with speechless concern, "Do you have a misunderstanding about your body shape? With thighs like that, why buy such narrow pants?"

Currently vexed with the wool pants, Sienna retorted in protest upon hearing Simon’s comment, "My thighs are not thick! They’re regular size, alright? Do you even know my height? I’m 172 cm, not 142 cm!"

Simon Forrester laughed, unable to restrain himself, "Knowing you’re 172 cm, you still bought wool pants intended for 142 cm-sized wearers?"

Intentionally buying wool pants two sizes down, anticipating they’d fit snugly for warmth, Sienna went silent and quietly packed the two-size-smaller wool pants into the suitcase.

The Straight Man Forrester eyed her, "Not throwing them away?"

"I’ll wear them when I get slimmer."
