"You know what! This is the downside of an office romance; even when you're away on a business trip, you're constantly being watched. Look at Old Wang and Old Qi, that's their fate! I'm telling you, I've figured it out, I definitely won't choose a colleague from our Investigation Bureau to be my wife," Jiang Feiyang grumbled to his companions as he leaned in front of a Demon Race style house and had Peng Lang take a picture of him.

Not long after leaving the manor, the grand team from the Investigation Bureau split up. Following Pei Yan's directive that no one should act alone, the large group divided into three distinct teams based on their relationships.

The first team was led by Pei Jin and Xia Yu—the female brigade. Apart from Xue Buli, who joined later, Catherine, formerly at odds with Xia Yu, somehow managed to break the tension between them over two months after the battle at Snow Peak Ridge, seamlessly integrating herself into the team. Meanwhile, Wang Wenze and Qi Weidong, whom Jiang Feiyang referred to as a cautionary tale, willingly followed behind their admired goddess as cheap labor for this procurement army.

The second team was led by Ye Ruozai, consisting of members from the previous generation Elite Squad. With Liu Piaoxu staying behind in the Seedstone Plane to train newcomers, Zheng Jia Ru and Jiang Donghu joined Ye Ruozai, who didn't originally want to tag along but was reluctantly convinced by their insistence.

The third team remaining consisted of single folks unloved by grandma and uncle—the single dog brigade. The captain Jiang Feiyang, with members Peng Lang, Qi Hua, and Kong Lin. As for Su Xiang, based on his performance at Snow Peak Ridge, Jiang Feiyang symbolically invited him despite disliking him, yet Su Xiang wisely declined the invitation. Hu Wenjun stayed behind to assist Pei Yan, who was recovering from illness and needed tasks sorted out.

"Ah, you've figured it out! I think it's just because you can't find anyone!" Peng Lang mocked as he threw Jiang Feiyang's phone back to him.

"Exactly, wasn't it you who tried chasing Xiaozhao, but she thought of you as a weird uncle!"

"Hahaha!" Qi Hua and Kong Lin echoed with hearty laughter.

Jiang Feiyang, unfazed by the mockery, patted his brother's shoulder and lamented, "No way, our Investigation Bureau has too many wolves and not enough meat, these female agents are all rare treasures. Alas, Old Xia won't let the fallen flower land on anyone's head from the Ye Family; it won't be us, especially not Xiaozhao! Look at Pei Zi, who's been unconscious for two months, apart from his sister, she's the one most concerned; they're practically separated by only a thin paper! I bet Pei Zi won't escape her!"

"You've got a point!" Peng Lang nodded in agreement, while Kong Lin smirked, "Isn't there that foreigner? Quite striking, huh!"

"Buddy, even though she's here on loan for an internship from an overseas Investigation Bureau and will eventually return, would you dare marry her considering her former ShenYu background? Unless ShenYu is completely eradicated, expect an endless investigation," Qi Hua lectured as he slapped Kong Lin's head to wake him up, then mumbled, "But Pei Zi's sister is a beauty! Smart and pretty!"

Soon he realized the other three were looking at him like he was a monster, awkwardly coughing and saying, "Can't I like Pei Zi's sister?"

"Of course you can! If you've got the ambition, go be her brother-in-law. If I had Pei Zi as my little brother-in-law, I'd walk with impunity in the Investigation Bureau. But if you seriously want to, I advise you strike early. I think Old Jiang has the same idea; he once secretly protected her for months. Their relationship is closer than yours," Jiang Feiyang advised with a dismissive pout.

"Really?" Qi Hua took it seriously and began pondering with a furrowed brow.

"Alright, real or not, let's just enjoy today; we're out here to have fun!" Jiang Feiyang wrapped his arm around Qi Hua's neck, and the group walked down the main road of the town, joking and laughing.

Despite their words, the reality was harsh—compared to the diverse entertainment venues of the real world, leisure activities among the Demon Race were notably lacking. After circling the town inside and out three times, besides experiencing the Demon Race people's warm and welcoming hospitality, the four really didn't have much else to explore. That was until Jiang Feiyang spotted the seemingly universal tavern sign, leading the group inside.

As the four entered the tavern, the originally bustling place suddenly turned silent, with all eyes falling on these four people wearing strange outfits without demon horns. Thanks to the vigorous promotion by the families Sifuer and Samikina, the Demon Race present knew they were allies who fought alongside them, yet they were momentarily unsure how to greet them.

Under Wushuang's gaze, Qi Hua chuckled awkwardly, whispering, "Should we go back?"

"Sounds good!" said Kong Lin, motioning to retreat toward the door. Just then, a loud shout echoed, "Stop!"

The shout startled Kong Lin into combat readiness, but within moments, he saw an old veteran stand up from within the tavern, quickly stride over to the four, and after assessing Jiang Feiyang, he pulled him close by the neck, shouting, "It's him! It's this kid who provided the firepower support that helped us repel wave after wave of those red bastards!" With that, he grabbed a glass from the bar, raised it high, and called out, "Cheers to the hero!"

"Cheers to the hero!" The crowd in the tavern echoed with raised glasses.

"Come, lad! Come in, let me buy you a drink!" The elder finished his drink and patted Jiang Feiyang on the shoulder, inviting him with a smile.

Once the awkwardness was broken, the interaction became much more relaxed and enjoyable. With the elder leading the way, Jiang Feiyang and others soon became the tavern's focal point, constantly approached for conversation, both sides exchanging tales of wonder from their diverse worlds, drawing gasps of amazement from everyone in the tavern.

"Are you saying you can make an alchemical device move faster than an Eight-legged Beast without any magic, just using oil, and fly higher than a Harpy?" A cute Demon Race girl with a sweet voice asked Jiang Feiyang incredulously, eyes wide in admiration.

No matter the world or the language, such a voice can easily breach the psychological defenses of single men, and even more so for Jiang Feiyang, who was slightly intoxicated by several drinks. He proudly patted his chest and declared, "Of course!" Then he took out his phone, opened a movie clip, and pressed play.

All the Demon Race folks gathered around to watch the sci-fi movie where towering buildings dominated the screen—a city far fancier than the Holy City—being effortlessly destroyed by light beams from a giant mothership dispatched by enemies, along with the dazzling trail of rapid-firing aircrafts. The Demon Race folks exchanged looks of shock and fear; had the Seedstone Plane become so powerful?
