Chapter 47 - 47: The Whole World, Finally at Peace!

Charlos Saint watched as Will continued to stride toward him, his bleary eyes snapping into focus. Panic seized him, and he shouted with a mix of desperation and authority, "Y-You... Stay back! Don't come any closer!"

But Will was already closing the distance with purposeful steps. Without hesitation, he delivered a brutal kick to Charlos's body, sending the Celestial Dragon hurtling through the air.

Pfft!

Charlos spat out a crimson arc of blood as he crashed back to the ground, his entire body wracked with unbearable pain. Seeing Will advance again, a primal fear—unlike anything he'd ever felt—began to claw at his heart.

Under the weight of that terror, he instinctively raised a trembling hand and cried out, "Don't come closer! Are you seriously trying to kill me?! I'm a Celestial Dragon—the most noble being in this world!!"

Will, unfazed, continued his relentless approach, his expression as cold as stone.

Realizing Will wasn't stopping, Charlos's panic deepened. He was certain now—Will truly meant to end him. Scrambling backward on his hands, he dragged himself across the ground in a frantic retreat. Words spilled from his mouth in a chaotic, desperate torrent.

"Fine, fine! I won't be a Celestial Dragon anymore! I'm done with it!" he babbled. "And I swear—I won't call the Admirals to hunt you down! Please, just let me go! Don't kill me!!"

"Not a Celestial Dragon anymore?" Will's brow arched, and he pointed at Charlos with a chilling sneer. "Listen well: you were born a Celestial Dragon, and you'll die one. That's your fate."

Charlos's body shuddered at those words, his fear spiking to new heights. The realization hit him—he might actually die in this wretched place. Abandoning all pretense of submission, he forced himself to his feet, his gaze twisting into something venomous as he growled, "You filthy insect! If you dare kill me, you won't survive either! The World Government, the Marines—they'll never let you—"

Will had heard enough. Closing the final distance, he seized Charlos by the throat and hoisted him into the air, his grip tightening with deliberate force.

Charlos's face flushed a deep red, his eyes bulging as he gasped, "L-Let... go... I... I can't breathe..."

The man who once recoiled at the thought of breathing the same air as "lesser" beings now craved nothing more than a single gulp of it.

Will stared at the struggling Celestial Dragon, his eyes glinting with icy contempt. "You're starting to understand what pain feels like, aren't you?"

But Charlos was beyond responding. His eyes rolled back, and his voice reduced to a weak, instinctive plea: "L-Let... go... please..."

Will's patience had long since evaporated. Ready to end this blight on the world, he loosened his grip just enough to toss Charlos lightly upward.

Before Charlos could draw a breath, Will's eyes flashed with twin crimson sparks. His fists erupted into motion, hammering forward with ferocious speed.

Armament Haki: Hundred Fracture Fist!

In an instant, his arms—coated in a sheen of inky-black Haki—blurred into dozens of crisscrossing afterimages. The air itself seemed to scream as his fists pounded into the airborne Celestial Dragon.

"DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA!!" Will roared, unleashing his fury with each strike.

Charlos became a puppet in the air, trembling violently under the relentless barrage. His body was pinned in place, unable to fall, as Will's fists rained down.

Crack!

In less than two seconds, every bone in Charlos's body shattered.

Then—

Pshhh!

His skin split apart, blood bursting outward like a gruesome firework. For a fleeting moment, he hung there, suspended by the force of Will's assault.

As Will's fists finally stilled, Charlos floated for one last second before—

BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!

His body detonated in a series of grotesque explosions, blood and flesh scattering in a horrific mist. It was as if countless bombs had ignited within him.

When the chaos settled, Charlos collapsed to the ground like a tattered rag doll, his nerves still twitching in a final, futile spasm. His mangled face contorted into something demonic, a testament to the unimaginable agony he'd endured.

Will had held back just enough, channeling only a fraction of his Armament Haki into Charlos's body. He wanted the Celestial Dragon to savor every moment of torment before death claimed him. A full-powered strike would've obliterated him instantly, leaving nothing behind.

After a few more seconds of writhing in agony, Charlos's twisted expression froze, and his breath finally ceased.

The onlookers—those who hadn't fled—stood frozen, struck dumb by the horrifying spectacle. The Celestial Dragon's attendants gaped at Will, their eyes wide with terror, as if staring at a true devil.

Will, however, threw his head back and let out a satisfied grin. "Ahh... the whole world feels peaceful at last!"

But his moment of triumph was cut short. His gaze landed on the cluster of trembling attendants nearby, and his smile vanished.

"Almost forgot," he muttered. "There's still you lot to deal with."

In a flash—

Shave!

Will vanished from his spot, reappearing among the attendants in an instant.

Iron Body: Thousand Slicing Blades!

Before they could react, his arms whipped through the air, slashing in every direction as he darted between them with blinding speed. Seconds later, he stepped out of the crowd, lowering his hands.

Pshhh!

Blood sprayed in unison from the attendants' bodies. Too late, they realized each bore a massive, gaping wound—sliced open in the blink of an eye.

Will turned to watch as they collapsed one by one, lifeless.

Satisfied that none remained, he shifted his attention to the pile of belongings they'd been carrying. A quick scan revealed something intriguing: an ornate treasure chest amidst the clutter.

He stepped over, shoving aside a pair of attendant corpses draped across it, and pried the chest open.

No glint of gold, no whiff of Berries. Instead, inside lay a smaller, simpler chest and a plain-looking book.

Will ignored the book for now and lifted the smaller chest. Opening it, he found a peculiar fruit—blueish-purple, its surface swirled with spiral patterns.

"A Devil Fruit..." he murmured, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. His expression turned thoughtful as he considered its implications.

He closed the chest and tucked it under his arm. Then, his gaze fell back to the book in the larger chest. If it was stored alongside a Devil Fruit, it had to be significant. freewebnøvel.com

He picked it up, slipping it into a relatively clean pocket. The rest of his clothes still bore faint traces of blood, evaporated but lingering, and he didn't want to risk staining the book.

With both items secured, Will stood amidst the carnage, his mind already turning to what lay ahead.
