Omega's Rebirth-Chapter 46: With Dawn Comes A Strange Occurrence ()
Neveah awakened the next morning to the tolling of bells in the Eclipse Palace and she turned over on her bed, a small smirk rested on her lips.
"Has it begun already?" Neveah murmured to herself as she snuggled closer into her bed, her beddings feeling much more comfortable than they usually did.
After a very busy night were Neveah was forced to make drastic changes for her future, she had only been able to take a rest in the early hours of the morning.
And barely two hours later, the results of a night’s worth of activity was beginning to show.
Neveah heard hurried footsteps approaching her door and she snuggled up closer to her pillow, her eyes fluttering closed as a frantic knock sounded from her door.
"Princess! Princess! Open up!" Laila called urgently.
Neveah ignored the panicked sounds and the knocks on the door.
’I never once caused you troubles, perhaps I lived too righteously...it is fine, lesson learned.’ Neveah thought to herself.
"It’s time my precious." Neveah thought to her wolf.
Neveah soon felt a searing pain rush through her veins as her heartbeat accelerated and a quiet gasp of pain escaped her lips.
Soon, she felt all her organs begin to react strangely and a wetness trailed down her cheek and slipped out her lips, dying the bed below red.
Just at that moment, Neveah heard the sound of her door broken down and in came Laila who screamed in horror at witnessing the sight.
Neveah laid on her bed, gasping for breath as blood trailed out of her eyes, nose, ears and mouth, her gaze was unfocused and she seemed barely conscious.
"Princess! By the Creator, Princess! Summon a healer! The Princess is dying!" Laila screamed out for help.
And just as Laila’s screamed, many more screams echoed from all around the Eclipse Palace, particularly from the guest palace.
It seemed an unexpected event had taken place in the Eclipse Palace on this fine morning...

"What?!" Alpha King Lothaire Raul exclaimed as he received a very disturbing report.
"My King, all the Lunas from the visiting packs have developed a strange ailment! The Eclipse Alphas have barged into the throne room and are demanding an audience!" Lado reported.
"A strange ailment? What do you mean a strange ailment?" Alpha King Lothaire’s brows furrowed into a frown, he could not understand just what exactly was going on. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
But whatever it was, he knew he would have to take a look for himself before he could answer to the Eclipse Alphas and so he rose to his feet.
"Where are they?!" Alpha King Lothaire demanded.
"The pack doctor is unclear on what the ailment is, they have been taken to the hall of the Omega healers." Lado replied dutifully.
While the pack doctor could tend to basic wounds, when it came to matters involving sorcery or magical herbs or whatever could not be easily diagnosed, it was left to Omega healers.
"Lead the way!" Alpha King Lothaire snapped as he stormed out of the office.
It did not take too long for the Alpha King to arrive at the Hall of the Omega healers where he met an alarming sight.
The few healers in service of the Eclipse Palace ran around in a frantic manner whilst laid in their hall were about a hundred females bleeding from their eyes, nose, mouths and ears.
Alpha King Lothaire had never witnessed such an ailment before amongst werewolves and so he could only stare in absolute shock as the healers did their best to attend to the affected females.
Each and everyone of these she wolves was a Luna of an Eclipse pack, they were the mates of the Eclipse Alphas and honored guests of the Eclipse Palace.
For them to be harmed right here in the Eclipse Palace meant trouble for the Eclipse Fang, just how was Alpha King Lothaire going to explain this to the Eclipse Alphas?
"Alessio, this is a critical time when you are to be named heir at the Alphas Summit... the Eclipse Packs were to depart to Mount Vernon today."
"Do you know just what kind of repercussion the Eclipse Fang will face if any of these she wolves die on our territory?" Alpha King Lothaire asked his son who had just arrived.
"I am aware." Alessio replied in a grim tone as he also took in the scene before him.
It was indeed an astonishing sight as werewolves did not fall victims to plagues like humans did.
"Get the Eclipse warriors out now! Scout the territory, get to the bottom of this immediately!" Alpha King Lothaire ordered.
"Yes father!" Alessio replied as he strode away with his second in command trailing behind him.
"The Eclipse Alphas are in the throne room?" Alpha King Lothaire asked Lado who nodded in confirmation.
"Beta Horace is there to pacify them but he sends word that they are restless, My King will need to see to it yourself." Lado reported.
"Very well, to the throne room." Alpha King Lothaire said as he strode away, heading to the throne room.
Long before he arrived, he could already sense the displeasure and the agitation of the Eclipse Alphas and the very moment he stepped in, all hell broke loose.
"Your Grace! What is the meaning of this?!" Alpha Scrooge of Eclipse Fur snarled in rage.
"If anything happens to my mate, the Eclipse Hill will not sit idly by!" Alpha Mikel of Eclipse Hill growled out.
Alpha King Lothaire’s gaze narrowed as his wolf rose up to the surface, a low growl escaping his lips as the dominance of the Alpha King wolf poured off of him.
The Eclipse Alphas instinctively retreated some steps back and lowered their heads in submission, their wolves unable to stand against their King.
"This is my territory and whatever goes wrong here is my responsibility, I will see to it...but I shall not tolerate your disrespect!" Alpha King Lothaire snarled.
"Your Grace, the Eclipse Alphas are just uneasy, they do not mean to point fingers." Alpha Varleston deflected the tense situation.
Alpha King Lothaire glared at the almost a hundred Alphas in his throne room before he strode up to his throne and took a seat.
"The Omega healers will ensure your mates are all restored to health as soon as possible, as for this case, the Eclipse Fang will look into it." Alpha King Lothaire said in a tone that left no room for arguments.
"And the Alphas Summit which was meant to begin on the morrow?" Alpha Jason of Eclipse Howl asked.
"The trip to Mount Vernon will be pushed forward until we get to the bottom of this, compared to the well being of your mates...the Alphas Summit takes second priority." Alpha King Lothaire said.
The Eclipse Alphas nodded in agreement as they patiently awaited news.
Not long after, Lado rushed into the throne room, glancing around at the Eclipse Alphas present before he conveyed his message through the pack link.
"My King, an eye witness reports Princess Neveah was seen leaving the guest palace at dawn." Lado reports.
Alpha King Lothaire frowned slightly at the report.
Neveah was stubborn and unsubmissive, but she was not the kind to perpetrate something like this, however Alpha King Lothaire needed an explanation and no stone could be left unturned.
"Alessio, fetch Veah and bring her to me...now!" Alpha King Lothaire roared into the mindlink.
It did not take too long for Alessio to arrive and where Alpha King Lothaire expected to see Neveah walking in, instead, Alessio strode in, cradling Neveah in his arms.
"Father...my sister has also been poisoned." Alessio revealed in a grim tone.
The Princess of Eclipse Fang had also been poisoned, relief settled in the heart of Alpha King Lothaire as the Eclipse Alphas exchanged looks and now looked completely guilty.
’What a perfect arrangement!’ Alpha King Lothaire thought to himself as he could sense the agitation of the Eclipse Alphas fade off.
To see that Neveah had also been poisoned made it clear that Alpha King Lothaire had nothing to do with it.
Alpha King Lothaire did not know why, or how this had happened but a moment ago, he had been on the verge of losing the loyalties of the Eclipse Alphas, this was an extremely welcome arrangement.
Of course, Alpha King Lothaire did not let his delight show on his face as he jumped to his feet in panic.
"Veah!" Alpha King Lothaire exclaimed, rushing over to where Alessio stood holding a barely conscious Neveah in his arms.
"Fa... father..." Neveah gasped out, struggling to speak.
"Hush now, it is okay... father will get to the bottom of this." Alpha King Lothaire assured.
"My daughter has been harmed...you can all see clearly that this is an intentional act against our loved ones."
"Where are my Eclipse warriors?! Overturn this Eclipse territory till you find the culprit! I will have them hung upon a pike!" Alpha King Lothaire ordered.
