"Since that is settled, off we go to our battlefields." Adrian stated as he suddenly conjured up five mirrors.

The Frost High Elf Ranger was midway through his derogatory words when he vanished. Vayu stepped inside the mirror that was right next to him and vanished as well. The Frost High Elf Warrior managed to destroy the first mirror that attempted to swallow him, but Adrian just conjured one beneath his feet. The Frost High Elf Warrior fell through this mirror and is sent to another location. Frey entered the mirror that was created for her as she already knew what will happen next.

The only one that was not affected by Adrian's forceful teleportation is the Frost High Elf Mage as she actually released a spell that froze everything around her which even affected magically conjured things. This made Adrian a bit excited fighting her as he could smell the strength of his opponent that will not leave him disappointed. The Frost High Elf Mage, however, looked worried as she could barely sense the subtle movement of mana that created those mirror portals.

"Well, it looks like this will be our battlefield then." Adrian exclaimed with a crazed smile on his face as his battle junkie personality is starting to come out. This is due to the fact that there have barely been any battles where he could enjoy to the fullest. The Frost High Elf Mage did not know that the chill she felt was not from the cold but from her instinct telling her the danger that is now coming her way.

The Frost High Elf Ranger suddenly fell on his face on the snow as he was not even able to react from getting teleported. He immediately sharpened his senses and surveyed the area he was on and found out that it was still in the area near the village, but it was not full of trees. Rangers like him have more of an advantage in areas filled with difficult terrain like forests, but he was sent in an open area that is filled with only ice and snow.

"Of course, why would they send me in a place where I have an advantage?! It seems the stories about the cunningness of demons are true." The Frost High Elf Ranger stated as he suddenly raised his bow.

The clash of steel and enchanted wood produced a clear chime effect as Vayu's katana was blocked by the bow of the Frost High Elf Ranger. Vayu was aiming for the neck of the Frost High Elf Ranger, but it seems his opponent is not as weak as he thought. Despite having the element of surprise on his side, Vayu was unable to get a clear advantage against the Frost High Elf Ranger.

"That was close!" The Frost High Elf Ranger stated as he performed a kick towards Vayu which the latter dodged but this made it possible for the former to gain some distance.

"It seems that you are not all bark." Vayu stated.

"It seems that it is my lucky day! To think that I will face an elemental!" The Frost High Elf Ranger stated as he looked at Vayu like he is prey.

"Half Elemental. I am not a complete elemental." Vayu stated calmly as he put his katana back in his sheathe.

"Do not joke with me, elemental! I know one when I see one and you have as much energy as a High Elemental! Also, Half Elementals are a cursed species that cannot survive because of the taboo. Did you honestly think that we did not try to become half elementals in order to destroy the curse placed on us?" The Frost High Elf Ranger stated as he seems to believe that there are no real Half Elementals.

"Just because you elves are not able to become one does not mean that it is impossible for others. There is a reason why Frost Elves such as yourselves cannot become one. The blood of the Faekin already runs in your veins which means another being with natural energy cannot enter at will. Faekin might live and be in a partnership with us elementals, but they cannot combine." Vayu stated as this was told by the Elemental Kings himself.

The elemental kings told him this when he asked which race the best combination is to produce a half elemental. All the Elemental Kings answered that humans are the best as their blood is more malleable and very synergistic. Races that have natural energy running in their veins like elves cannot do so as the Faekin blood will not allow the energy of an elemental to take over.

"Hah! So, that is why all of those that tried fail and get afflicted with a terrifying curse." The Frost High Elf Ranger stated as he smiled.

The Frost High Elf Ranger did not just talk to Vayu because he wanted to know but because he was busy setting up. In fact, the Frost High Elf Ranger that seems to be talking is a Snow Clone that he created. The real Frost High Elf Ranger is invisible and creating traps around Vayu. The Frost High Elf Ranger is planning to capture Vayu as he would be essential for his survival due to the former's taboo body.

"Are you done?" Vayu asked which made the Snow Clone of the Frost High Elf Ranger laugh.

"It seems you already knew." The Snow Clone of the Frost High Elf Ranger stated.

"I merely gave you time out of respect for a warrior whose entire brethren had been killed." Vayu stated.

"Respect? You, who suddenly tried to slice my neck as soon as you arrived?" The Frost High Elf Ranger stated as the Snow Clone finally turned to snow with the real one behind Vayu and already pulling his bowstring.

"I acted that way because I wanted it to be painless for you given your circumstances. I thought that I should painlessly send you to the afterlife." Vayu stated as he gripped his katana and vanished from his location.
