Oh No, Daddy Sent Me To The Beast World!-Chapter 19: Step away. I am tired, and I want my female to rest
Su Yanrong still believed the princess was still head over heels for Wei Ranshu.
The only problem was that this Lin Huahua was not like that anymore and no one had caught up yet.
Lin Huahua was simply standing here with a cute face and a dangerous temper. Her tail moved behind her lazily.
Before Su Yanrong could take another step, Feng Yiren moved.
He did not hesitate.
He stepped forward and planted himself directly in front of Lin Huahua like a barrier, his shoulders squared, his fox aura sharp, and his tail puffing slightly as if it was preparing to lash.
Lin Huahua’s eyes widened slightly, because she did not expect him to act so decisively.
Feng Yiren’s mind was running quickly, because even though he loved provoking Lin Huahua and teasing her, he still knew how cruel Su Yanrong could be, and he also knew how the crowd could turn.
He was worried that because Lin Huahua was changing, she might become an easier target.
If she becomes soft, she will be easily bullied, Feng Yiren thought, and the thought irritated him, because he hated the idea of other people touching what was his responsibility, even if he refused to admit he cared.
Lin Huahua looked at his back, then she smiled softly, because she found it oddly comforting.
At least this bully, Feng Yiren knows how to be protective, so he is not entirely useless, she thought, and her mood lifted just a little.
Su Yanrong’s eyes widened when she saw Feng Yiren blocking her view, and rage immediately rose in her chest.
Because in the past, Feng Yiren never stood up for Lin Huahua.
Feng Yiren used to look indifferent, cold, and annoyed, as if Lin Huahua was not worth his attention.
So why was he standing like a guard dog now?
That question made Su Yanrong’s jealousy explode.
Her vulture feathers flared slightly along her arms, and her gaze sharpened like a knife.
"Feng Yiren," Su Yanrong said, forcing sweetness back into her tone, because she wanted to appear polite in front of the crowd. "Move. I want to greet the princess."
Feng Yiren did not move an inch.
His eyes were cold, and his voice was calm in a way that warned violence.
"You are greeting her like that?" Feng Yiren asked, because he wanted the crowd to hear how disrespectful Su Yanrong was being.
Su Yanrong’s smile tightened.
The crowd was watching closely now, because everyone had heard rumors that the princess accepted her males, and they wanted confirmation.
Some of them had come out of curiosity. Some of them had come because they thought the males were lying. Some of them had come because they wanted entertainment.
Su Yanrong also wanted confirmation, because she could not accept the rumor.
If the princess truly accepts them, then my chances of stealing the fox become harder, Su Yanrong thought, and the idea made her stomach churn with bitterness.
Su Yanrong took another step and lifted her hand, aiming for Feng Yiren’s arm with a boldness that made her males stiffen.
Her mates hated the sight.
One of them growled low. Another one stepped closer, his eyes fixed on Feng Yiren’s throat. Another one’s claws flexed as if he wanted to rip something apart.
They were jealous, not because Feng Yiren wanted their female, but because their female wanted Feng Yiren.
Su Yanrong’s fingers almost brushed Feng Yiren’s arm.
But Feng Yiren stepped back sharply like he had been splashed with filth, and he snatched his arm away so fast the motion looked violent.
His fox ears flattened, his eyes turned colder, and disgust flashed across his face openly.
"Do not touch me," Feng Yiren said, and his tone was so cutting that even the crowd flinched.
Su Yanrong froze.
Her pride took a heavy blow, because she was not used to rejection.
Feng Yiren stared at her like she was something rotting.
"You disgust me," Feng Yiren added, because he did not see any reason to soften his words for someone like her. "Step away. I am tired, and I want my female to rest."
The phrase "my female" made the crowd’s eyes widen again, because it sounded possessive, and it sounded serious. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
And everyone knew that Feng Yiren never considered Lin Huahua his female. In fact he always dared to even make it known in his past that he would be really happy if she met death.
So now of course the sudden change was making them curious.
Su Yanrong’s smile cracked the moment she heard Feng Yiren’s words, and she snapped, "Why do you even care for her? She never cared about you. She will dump you soon, and then I will have you."
Those words struck Feng Yiren in the place he hid everything. The thought of Lin Huahua dumping him made his heart ache for some reason.
Feng Yiren’s expression stayed calm, but his hands clenched so tightly that his knuckles whitened.
Lin Huahua noticed immediately.
She saw the way his tail stiffened for a moment and the way his ears twitched like he was trying to swallow something painful.
Lin Huahua’s anger rose instantly, because even if she was still figuring out her feelings, she did not like anyone speaking about her males like they were goods in the market.
Who is this vulture to talk about my male like that, Lin Huahua thought, and the thought made her eyes sharpen with mischief.
She stayed behind Feng Yiren for a heartbeat, letting Su Yanrong think she was still weak.
Then Lin Huahua stepped out from behind him with a small, cute smile.
Su Yanrong finally saw her face, and she froze for a second because Lin Huahua did not look like the girl she remembered.
For some reason it seemed that Lin Huahua had gotten more adorable in a way that was infuriating, with her rat ears perked up, her cheeks slightly pink from walking, and her eyes bright.
Lin Huahua tilted her head and spoke softly, but her tone carried a playful threat.
"Whoever said I am going to dump my male?"
The crowd gasped in unison, and the sound spread like wind.
Feng Yiren’s fox ears flicked sharply, and surprise flashed across his eyes despite his attempt to stay cool.
Su Yanrong’s mouth opened slightly, because she did not expect the princess to speak back.
The tribe people stared at Lin Huahua like they were seeing a different person.
Humph you want to bully me? Impossible!
