Chapter 165: I’m Sure Leo Will Love You

Leo stood there breathing heavily while staring at the hell-looking landscape in front of him. Fires and corpses littered the ground, causing him to think. ’At least that will push them back for a few days.’

Following that, he shook his head before turning back to the silent wall. He started flying toward it, where he spotted the five women standing there, staring at the battlefield with wide eyes.

As Leo got close to the wall, he felt himself growing tired before landing with a thud. Roxy rushed toward him, but he held up his hand. ’’Stay there, beautiful. My mana is going crazy and will hurt you.’’

When the blonde heard this, her green eyes widened in surprise, but he waved her away with a charming smile. ’’Help Astra and Veladra while I rest. I’ll send Amara and the knights to come.’’

After speaking, Leo waved his hand while sending the four women a message. Moments later, they appeared and went to hug him, but he stopped them. ’’You cannot touch me, you’ll get mana burns that won’t heal.’’

Their eyes widened in surprise, causing him to continue. ’’Help the women here while I rest. My body is tired and my head hurts.’’

Following that, Leo teleported to his room in the Otherworld before collapsing on the bed after stripping out of his clothes and quickly falling asleep. The wounds on his body were starting to fully heal as the mana poured into him.

While Leo slept peacefully, Roxy gazed at Sylvaine, Faelina, Cassandra, and their commander, Thalira. The four women were breathtakingly beautiful, and Roxy couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment, knowing they were as loyal to Leo as she was.

’If we stayed on Earth, he would have never found women like these four,’ she thought, her green eyes sparkling with pride and admiration.

Following that, Roxy and Luna started healing the injured as Bella, alongside Faelina, guarded them. The other knights stuck with Astra and Veladra, who left the wall after ordering the demon army to loot the enemy.

The three women stood on the edge of the battlefield while watching the soldiers looting the Alliance dead. As this happened, a dozen enemy survivors were causing the knights to the ready for an attack.

Astra raised her hand and spoke with a knowing smile. ’’Wait, don’t attack them, and let the soldiers spread the word of Leo. It will demoralize them to no end, which will make our fight quicker.’’

Everyone nodded in agreement before returning to their tasks. Roxy resumed healing the wounded demons, her hands glowing with restorative magic. As she worked, she quickly noticed how the demons treated all the women with unwavering respect.

Following this, Astra organized the army so they would repair the fortress, clear the battlefield, and build more defenses. Once the group was done, they retreated to their private quarters.

The towering black knights moved in silence behind them, their sheer presence sending a shiver down Cassandra’s and Thalira’s spines. Instinctively, they attempted to halt the knights, but the newcomers simply stopped in place.

Then, the largest among them stepped forward and knelt, his deep voice reverberating through the air. ’’I am Baal, Commander of the Demon King’s Knights. My lord has ordered us to guard you, my ladies.’’

When Roxy heard this, her eyes widened while thinking. ’Where did he find these guys from?’

She shrugged before speaking. ’’If babe assigned them then to us, I don’t have an issue with it.’’

Afterward, they all entered their private chambers as the knights stood guard and one entered, causing everyone to go stiff. All eyes were on the stranger who removed the helmet, only to reveal a beautiful redheaded devil.

When the women saw her, their eyes widened as Roxy commented. ’’Oh wow. Is the husband adding a devil woman to the harem? That would be amazing.’’

The knight smiled before answering. ’’My lord hasn’t made a move, but I wouldn’t reject such an offer if it appeared.’’

’’Azalea!’’ Baal hissed.

Suddenly laughing echoed out as she watched another knight step forward and put his hand on the commander’s shoulder. ’’Back off, chief. The king allows us to speak, and I’m sure when he sees Azalea’s beauty, he will take her.’’

When Roxy heard this, heard eyes widened just before she started giggling before speaking. ’’It’s nice to meet you Azalea, I’m sure Leo will love you.’’

The Demon Knight beamed before the group entered the private quarters as the castle came to life with people rushing around. Everyone was relaxing while the blonde was standing on a balcony that overlooked rolling hills.

Roxy fondly remembered the day she and Leo first met, a memory that never failed to bring a smile to her face. They were just six years old, sitting in their first-grade classroom. She had been at a desk all by herself, isolated because no one wanted to sit with the new girl.

She sat quietly at her desk, trying to blink away the sting of tears. The other kids had just teased her for being the new girl, whispering and giggling behind her back. She hugged her arms around herself, wishing the day would just end.

But then a shadow fell over her desk. Looking up, she saw a cute blonde-haired boy with bright blue eyes standing in front of her. Unlike the others, his gaze wasn’t cruel or mocking, it was warm and full of kindness.

He grinned at her, the kind of boyish smile that could light up an entire room, and held out his hand. ’’Hi! I’m Leo Anderson,’’ he said cheerfully. ’’Wanna be friends?’’

Roxy blinked in surprise. No one had spoken to her like that all day. Slowly, she reached out and took his hand, her lips curving into a shy smile. ’’Okay,’’ she whispered.

And just like that, her world felt a little brighter. But he didn’t always attend school as he had trouble at home. One day, she curled into herself as the other kids surrounded her, their cruel laughter ringing in her ears.

’’Why don’t you just go back to where you came from?’’ one bully sneered, shoving her shoulder.

Another yanked her ribbon from her hair, tossing it to the ground. ’’Yeah, no one wants you here!’’

Before she could react, a sharp push sent her stumbling and then came a stinging slap to her arm. Tears welled in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall. She just wanted them to stop while looking around for a teacher.

’’HEY! ’’a furious voice cut through the chaos, and in the next instant, someone stepped between her and the bullies.

Leo’s blue eyes burned with anger as he glared at the main bully. ’’Leave her alone or watch what happens,’’ he growled.

The bully scoffed while the others laughed. ’’Or what?’’

Leo didn’t answer with words, he answered with his fists. With a single punch, the bully yelped and fell backward, clutching his nose as tears pricked his eyes. The other kids gasped as their so-called leader whimpered in pain.

He turned to the rest of them, his fists still clenched. ’’Anyone else wanna try?’’ he challenged.

The kids hesitated before scrambling away, dragging their crying ringleader with them. Roxy sniffled, staring at him with wide, teary eyes. ’’You... you stood up for me.’’

Leo turned to her, his expression softening as he crouched down. ’’Of course, I did,’’ he said, picking up her ribbon and gently placing it back in her hand. ’’You’re my friend, Rox. No one’s gonna mess with you while I’m around.’’

Her heart swelled at his words. Clutching the ribbon close, she wiped her eyes and gave him a wobbly smile. ’’Thank you, Leo,’’ she whispered.

He grinned at her, holding out his pinky. ’’Promise I’ll always protect you.’’

Roxy hooked her pinky around his without hesitation. ’’Promise.’’

As the years passed, they grew closer, and with his unwavering support, she gradually opened up. The bullying eventually stopped, allowing her to blossom into a confident and beautiful young woman.

By the time they were fourteen, Roxy knew she was in love with Leo. But she couldn’t bring herself to tell him. He had become one of the popular kids, effortlessly charming and well-liked, yet he never forgot about her.

No matter how many people surrounded him, he always included her in everything. Then came the day that changed everything, the moment that sealed their bond forever. The afternoon sun cast long shadows as they walked home from school, chatting like always.

She laughed at something he said, feeling at ease, until a group of guys suddenly stepped out from an alley, blocking their path. Roxy’s heart dropped. She recognized them. They were friends of the bully Leo had humiliated years ago.

’’Well, well,’’ the biggest one sneered, cracking his knuckles with a grin. ’’Still playing hero, Anderson?’’
