Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement-Chapter 934 - 930: She Can Be Terrifying When She Is Heartless (Part 3)
The wound on his body stuck to his clothes, and it hurt a bit when he took them off.
He stood with his back to the floor-length mirror, turning his head to examine the wound on his back.
He took a cotton swab and applied a layer of medicine, but his hand couldn’t reach the wound.
After a few attempts, he lost his patience and flung the medicine bottle and cotton swab to the ground.
The glass bottle shattered on impact, releasing its contents all over the floor.
Ha, he didn’t even know what he was angry about now.
Her hatred for him seemed to be an accepted fact; the only frustration was that he hadn’t found a way to make her forgive him.
...
In her sleep, Sophie Smith felt someone trying to take off her clothes. Reflexively, she covered her chest with her hand and sat up abruptly.
"Sorry, Miss Smith, we didn’t mean to disturb you. We just wanted to help you change clothes..."
Two maids stood awkwardly beside her, heads down, murmuring.
Sophie had to admit, she was startled; she had thought it was Asher Land.
She composed herself and glanced around the room.
The Land Family?
So when Asher said he would take her home, he had brought her here. That liar. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Sophie stepped off the bed, ignoring the maids’ attempts to stop her, and prepared to walk out.
"Miss Smith, where are you going? If you’re going out, please inform Master first..."
The maids were afraid Sophie would leave quietly, for if she did, their master might blame them later.
"Miss Smith, please don’t leave..."
A group of maids trailed behind her, calling out with a hint of sobbing in their voices.
Sophie paid them little mind, opened the door, and dragged her already swollen ankle, ready to walk out.
With one hand on the railing, she took heavy steps, making her way down.
"Stop!" A cold, stern voice sounded behind her, but Sophie didn’t turn, continuing to descend the staircase.
Did he really think he couldn’t control her?
A few steps later, he reached her, blocking her path with his tall figure. Sophie saw anger brimming in his eyes.
Without a word, he picked her up horizontally and carried her back to the master bedroom.
He practically tossed her onto the bed.
Thankfully, the bed was soft, so she felt no pain.
"Listen carefully, heal the wound on your foot quietly, and then think about leaving. Otherwise, don’t cause trouble in front of me."
There it was, his commanding tone again. Why wouldn’t he reflect on what he’d done wrong? Listening to him, it was as if she was the one at fault.
"Asher Land, if you don’t want to see me cause trouble, then let me go."
"No way."
Even if one day she drove him to his death, it would be with his full consent.
Asher stood near the bed, arms crossed, looking down at her.
She tried to argue a few points, but to him, it was like a soft punch, weak and insignificant.
Sophie finally gave up.
She leaned wearily against the headboard, a white, soft silk blanket draped over her legs.
Her head lowered in silence; who knows what she was thinking.
But her lack of resistance or noise was already a rare ’surprise’ for him.
After a long while, he relaxed his vigilance over her and sat down at the other end of the bed.
