Asher Land was baffled by her evasive answer, and the smile on her lips only added to his unease.

"Sophie Smith, are you okay?"

"I’m fine."

Sophie Smith thought for a moment and still felt that it wasn’t suitable for them to stay together now.

"You should go. I’m really fine. I’ll just stay here by myself for a while."

Her heart twisted painfully, but she couldn’t show it, couldn’t let Asher Land worry about her. She hesitated for a moment, but still leaned into him, reached out, and hugged him.
