Chapter 547: Chapter 543 I Don’t Blame Her (Part 1)

When Oscar Land and Luke Land arrived at the East Garden, Irene Morton was pacing anxiously at Asher Land’s door.

"Big brother, second brother, you’re here! Please try to talk some sense into Brother Asher..." Seeing them, Irene ran towards them as if she’d seen a savior.

Luke Land pushed at the door, but it wouldn’t budge; it was locked from the inside.

From inside came the sound of a bottle shattering, followed by the clatter of other things falling to the floor.

Without a second thought, Luke Land kicked the door, needing several kicks to finally break it down.

But when he saw the scene inside, he was still left speechless.

Asher Land was slumped against the side of the bed, dead drunk and unconscious, surrounded by fallen bottles, filling the room with a pungent smell of alcohol. His right hand was bleeding profusely, with shards of glass visibly embedded in it...

He looked exceptionally haggard, his face pale, and even a slight stubble had emerged on his jaw.

He had locked himself in the room for three days now, just three days; since that woman left him, he’d already turned himself into a ghost of his former self.

The clothes he wore were the same as three days ago, the shirt crumpled and wrinkled; he was always known for his cleanliness...

"Quick, call the doctor," Oscar Land said to the maid beside him.

The maid responded hurriedly and ran downstairs.

Ten minutes later, the doctor hadn’t arrived, but Nathan Land and Enzo Land did.

"Father..." Oscar Land and Luke Land quickly made way, allowing Nathan Land into the room, their hearts filled with anxiety and fear.

Sure enough, Nathan Land was furious when he saw Asher Land in such a pitiful state.

"Drag him outside, don’t dirty the room with his misfortune!" No sooner had Nathan Land spoken than several men came in, dragging the unconscious Asher Land downstairs.

Asher Land was tossed onto the wide plaza outside the villa, lying there, barely alive.

Around him gathered many servants, probably never having seen the formidable and dignified third young master appear so down and out.

"Useless thing!" Nathan Land snorted coldly and commanded someone to fetch buckets of ice water, pouring it over him!

The bone-chilling water soaked him through, and he slowly opened his eyes.

He had been shut in that dark, sunless room for three days, and now the blinding sunlight outside stung his eyes, making it hard to adjust.

"Looks like he’s still not awake. Continue, until he’s fully conscious!"

Wave after wave of cold water drenched him, his knuckles whitened as he tightly clawed at the ground.

"Father, please, let our third brother go. If this continues, his body won’t be able to take it anymore."

Luke Land, standing by, pleaded with Nathan Land.

"Hah, better if he died! To become such a sorry sight over a woman, he’s a disgrace to the Land Family!"

Irene Morton couldn’t help but burst into tears, throwing herself onto Asher Land’s chest without thinking. A wave of icy water poured over, soaking her to the skin as she lay in his arms, trembling uncontrollably.

"Irene, you..." Seeing this, Amelia Williams quickly moved to pull Irene up, "Irene, get up quickly, how can a girl like you endure such hardship?"

But Irene still lay on Asher Land, unmoving.
