No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 94: Rebellion
The tranquility in Hannah’s eyes was replaced by a ripple in the tide.
She opens her mouth several times, unable to keep herself from asking, "Is... this from the young lady just now?"
At the sound of her words, a boy in the hospital bed lazily thus, without even lifting his eyes to look at the bewildered person standing beside his bed, but the thing in his hand brings a little tenderness to his eyes.
A smile asked again, "Do you know each other?"
After saying this, she scolded herself as stupid. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
How could she visit the hospital if they did not know each other?
As expected, Louis Snyder looked up at the girl standing in front of him and said indifferently, "Met once, not familiar."
The girl seemed to heave a sigh of relief, but she did not think further.
Louis spread his palm, a silver moon hair accessory quietly lays in his hand.
Small crystals are set in it, particularly dazzling in the sunlight, much like the person who just left.
With just one glance, it had caught someone’s eye, and it could never be removed from their mind.
Hannah standing on the side, the smile on her face was somewhat forced, but she still volunteered bravely, "Louis, why don’t you give me the thing? I can return it to the young lady earlier, she might not have gone far."
After she finished speaking, she was somewhat eager to reach out and take it, but Louis had closed his palms.
The boy had a light smile on his lips, his clear eyes seriously looking at the girl in front of him, his voice as modest as usual, but the words he spoke were distant and resistant, "Sister, you don’t need to. I can return the thing myself, you don’t have to trouble yourself."
Having said that, he tucked the moon-shaped hair accessory under his pillow. The movement was gentle, treasuring it like a precious gem.
The girl just stood there dumbfounded, not knowing what thoughts came into her mind, her nose turned a bit sour, and the mist in her eyes instantly filled her eye sockets.
She didn’t want the boy to notice, so she turned her back and opened the lunchbox on the table, her voice trembled a bit, "Louis, let’s eat first. I had cooked this for you before coming, it’s good for your health. The food in the hospital is bland, I worried that you’re not used to it, so I brought these. Try some."
The girl liked to ramble on, especially in front of Louis. She always treated him like a child who hadn’t grown up yet, taking care of him in every way possible and looking out for him.
What she doesn’t know is that, the more she beats on, the more annoyed the boy becomes.
He isn’t a 12 or 13-year-old child anymore, who needed such care.
All of this only annoys him further.
Just like when a teenager faces the care from their family but mistakes it for limitations, wanting to break free, wanting to escape, and even rebelling, even if it hurts the very people who genuinely care about them.
This can give him a great sense of satisfaction.
So does Louis.
In front of Tiffany Lynch, he deliberately plays the role of a good and obedient younger brother, because he knows that this way he can quickly win the affection of the opposite sex and close the distance with Tiffany.
However, when facing Hannah, he only harbors endless malice for her.
He rebelliously wants to hurt her, want to see her cry, see her shed tears, see her heartbroken, he wants Hannah Winter to know that he is not her plaything in the palm, and nor is he where she places her emotional attachment.
However, the girl did not notice the boy’s thoughts and the malice in his eyes at all. She kept chattering on, served a bowl of soup in front of the boy, and softened her tone, "Louis, taste it. It’s delicious."
