No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 70: Remember to Shave
I wonder if anyone knows Jack Stewart.
Hannah’s thoughts drifted further and further away, her expression becoming increasingly tangled.
Jenny King felt triumphant, thinking she had touched a nerve in Hannah. Just as she was about to continue, Hannah looked at her abruptly, her cat-like eyes shining brightly, "Jenny King, are you that interested in my affairs?"
Jenny gave a sarcastic snort, trying to catch Gilly Harrison’s eye hoping she would join her in mocking Hannah, but was met with evasive glances instead.
Jenny stomped her foot in anger.
What a useless person, she thought. It seems like I’ll have to handle this myself.
But before she could say anything this time, Hannah walked over to her in a few steps, tilted her head and looked at her in surprise, "Jeez, Jenny, you don’t actually like me, do you?"
Jenny was taken aback, "What ... what are you talking about!"
Remembering the time she had scheduled to meet Jack Stewart, Hannah replied bluntly, "Then why are you stuttering."
Jenny wide-eyed, "You... you’re talking nonsense, you have no shame!"
Hannah replied: "Your face is turning red."
Her straightforward words carried a sense of resignation, her voice soft and seeming casual.
But those seemingly playful words rendered Jenny speechless.
"Hannah Winter, you have no shame. You’ve been messing around with men and now everyone knows it. Don’t you dare drag me down with you. Just look at yourself, who knows how many times you’ve been used and whether you have any diseases!"
Jenny was so angry she was practically breathing fire.
She was indeed jealous of Hannah’s attractive face and did enjoy staring at her, but to say she liked Hannah?
Disgusting! She’s not worthy!
Other than her face, what else does Hannah even have?
Jenny’s words were offensive. Hannah glanced at the time, getting a bit impatient, "Jenny King, who I am with is none of your business. If you are really interested in me, I don’t mind if you eavesdrop from under my bed, but before that, I suggest you look in the mirror."
"Look, you’ve got whiskers coming out of your mouth."
After saying this, she grinned.
Her cheeks were a soft, porcelain white, and her smile was completely harmless. But her eyes, shaped like a cat’s and as clever as a fox’s, were another story.
Upon hearing this, Jenny immediately forgot about arguing and picked up a mirror to look at herself.
By the time she realized Hannah was teasing her, Hannah was already gone.
Before she could catch up, Hannah reappeared at the door with a reminder, "Don’t forget to shave the whiskers, or we might mistake you for a thug in the dorm at night." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Flushed and furious, Jenny smashed the mirror on the floor and gritted her teeth, "Hannah Winter! I won’t let you off the hook, just you wait, this time, I want to see how you will turn this around!"
Gilly Harrison played dumb throughout.
She wasn’t May Hoffman. Even though she wanted to benefit from Jenny’s privileged background, she wouldn’t stoop as low as May and act like Jenny’s maid.
She saw through their previous dispute a long time ago; trying to out-talk Hannah was virtually impossible.
Just look at Jenny’s track record, when did she ever win?
It is clear that playing fair with Hannah won’t work, you’d have to resort to sinister methods. Isn’t the forum incident a perfect example?
Right now, plenty of people are waiting to see Hannah make a fool of herself.
