No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1900 Hayes Edwards Extra (57)
Students from other grades can’t enter the barbecue area.
So trying to blend in won’t work.
Chubby* immediately agreed and even patted his chest, promising, "You and Grace just wait for a delicious feast!"
Lately, Chubby has a new dream, which is to become a gourmet!
It was cloudy on Friday, but fortunately, it didn’t rain.
Arriving at school at the usual time, by a few minutes past eight, several blue buses could already be seen at the bottom of the school building.
A voice came from the broadcast, directing each class from the first floor to the sixth floor to orderly go downstairs and get on the bus.
This time for the spring outing, Grace Winter couldn’t be on the same bus as Hayes Edwards. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Fourth grade is on the third floor, so Grace got on the bus much earlier than Hayes. She leaned by the window and spotted Hayes in the crowd instantly.
Compared to the large bags of other students, Hayes seemed much simpler, with just a backpack slung casually over his shoulder, looking cold with a non-smiling face.
Grace waved at him enthusiastically.
Hayes saw her and deliberately ignored her.
Grace didn’t get upset, always smiling with two sweet dimples on her face, looking cute and soft.
"It’s Grace," Chubby* saw her too and waved excitedly.
Helena sat next to Grace, holding a bag of chips, crunching away and sharing with the surrounding classmates.
When the bus was about to start, the homeroom teacher came in from the front door, followed by a few boys.
Their class’s own bus was full, so a few of them came over here.
Grace saw Hayes and Chubby; Helena also saw them and invited classmates to make way for a few double seats, so Hayes and Chubby sat behind them.
The bus started and drove out of the campus.
It took almost an hour to reach the destination this time. In the first half hour, everyone was chatty and singing, but in the latter half, it quieted down on the bus.
Many students fell asleep leaning against their seats.
Helena and Chubby also fell asleep, but Grace remained energetic, holding a small bag of White Rabbit candies, and turned to look at Hayes sitting behind her.
"Hayes," she lowered her voice, like a cat’s meow, worried about disturbing the other students, "What are you doing?"
Hearing her voice, Hayes looked up, "What?"
"I’m offering you something to eat." Grace passed the small bag of White Rabbit candies through the seat gap.
Hayes looked at her and then at the bag of candies.
So childish, still eating milk candies.
He reached out to take them, "If you have nothing to do, just sleep, don’t keep calling me."
Grace nodded obediently, smiling, "Okay."
After a while, she fell asleep too.
Hayes could see her tilted head, guessing she was in a deep sleep, and he put the candies he meant to return back into his pocket.
Five minutes before reaching the destination, the teacher started waking up the students, reminding them to bring all their belongings and not to forget anything, and to thank the driver when getting off.
After getting off the bus, Hayes and Chubby went to find their original class.
The activity area for fifth and sixth grades was in the barbecue area, in the opposite direction to theirs.
The park was large, with several activity areas divided, featuring mountains, water, and trees. A large lake could be seen from the gate.
*Chubby is a nickname for a classmate whose name hasn’t been translated.
