Chapter 1875: Chapter 1875: Hayes Edwards Side Story (32)

They ran off to sit on the stairs.

The chubby kid saw Grace Winter with a packet of crispy snacks, not knowing what to do with it. He reached over to take it from her, opened it, and added the seasoning, then shook it evenly by holding the bag closed.

Then he handed it back, "Here, try it."

They all bought the tomato-flavored ones.

Grace Winter opened the bag, took a bite, and the taste was completely different from what she imagined. It was crispy, with a sweet and sour tomato seasoning.

Very tasty.

"See, I wasn’t lying. Isn’t it good?"

Grace Winter nodded as she ate.

The chubby kid said, "Next time I’ll treat you to spicy strips; those are even better."

Grace Winter was so into the crispy snacks that she didn’t pay attention to what the chubby kid said. Nodding was enough.

When Hayes Edwards arrived, he saw them sitting on the stairs, each with a bag of crispy snacks, not caring about their image at all.

"Grace Winter!" he called out.

Grace Winter was a bit slow to react and looked around.

Hayes Edwards impatiently called again, "Grace Winter."

Only then did Grace Winter turn her head, and upon seeing him, she smiled brightly as if a light had sparkled in her eyes.

She got up, trotted a few steps over, and slightly tilted her head up, "Hayes, are you here to find me?"

Hayes snorted, reached out, and patted her on the head, "Don’t flatter yourself, I’m here to buy water."

The weather in September was hot and stuffy, so many students would come to the kiosk to buy a bottle of ice water.

Grace Winter rubbed her head where she was patted, "Oh," she said.

Hayes looked at her, seemingly annoyed but didn’t walk away directly. Instead, he asked, "What are you holding?"

Grace Winter quickly picked it up to show him, "It’s a crispy snack, Brother Harry treated me."

She had already eaten half of it. Following the chubby kid’s advice, she crushed the remaining crispy snack for more flavor.

Snacks like these didn’t interest Hayes at all, "Easy to please, is this all it takes to win you over?"

He said it a bit softly, and Grace Winter didn’t hear clearly, so she asked him again.

"Nothing," Hayes said, "I have something to do, gotta go."

Grace Winter wanted to say more, but he was already heading to the kiosk.

Their class had sports next period, but the chubby kid and a few other boys still escorted Grace Winter back to the classroom, "Grace, we’ll find you after school."

"Okay," Grace Winter waved at them.

It wasn’t until the preparatory bell rang that the teaching building quieted down.

When the teacher hadn’t arrived yet, someone was asking Grace Winter about her relationship with the boys earlier.

For first-grade students, third-grade students are also senior schoolmates.

Knowing so many seniors at once was pretty cool.

Grace Winter explained, "We went to the same kindergarten before." 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

That made it clear to everyone.

First-grade courses were very simple and relaxed, with no exams or homework. There were four morning classes, and the last one was still sports.

Their sports class today was to learn Dawn Light Middle School’s exercise routine.

Aside from the mandatory routine exercise for all schools, Dawn Light Middle School also had its own routine, done twice every morning.

The school also had two sports fields: one under the flag-raising platform with a track and football field, and one on the upper basketball court.
