Chapter 1855: Chapter 1855: Hayes Edwards Side Story (12)

The crying had quieted down, and she didn’t even realize that her doll had fallen to the ground.

The teacher beside couldn’t help but laugh, "You two siblings have a really good relationship."

Hayes Edwards instinctively wanted to speak, but seeing Grace Winter hanging onto his arm, he held back, "Actually, it’s just okay."

He said awkwardly.

The teacher smiled and shook her head, taking out iodine and band-aids from the first aid kit.

Grace Winter was a little scared, but holding Hayes’s hand made her feel a bit better. Her eyes were still red, tears clinging to her face.

Since it was after school, the parents of both children were waiting outside to pick them up.

Today’s visitors were Father Edwards and Father Winter.

Leaving kindergarten, Grace Winter was carried on her father’s back.

Father Winter, feeling sorry for his daughter, wanted to let her skip tomorrow’s kindergarten, but Grace said it was okay.

"It’s just a little pain."

She made a small gesture with her hand.

Her cute and soft appearance made Father Edwards smile, "Grace is really brave."

She shyly covered her face.

Hayes walked beside, silently thinking, just a moment ago, who was crying like a little flower cat.

His sleeve was full of tears.

So annoying.

But despite being annoyed, Hayes spent the evening playing Grace’s favorite game of house.

Cool and aloof Hayes sat with a bunch of dolls, waiting for Grace to line up and give them apples.

"One for you, one for me, one for you, one for me..."

By the time it was Hayes’s turn, there were only apple leaves left.

Grace even asked him, "Why aren’t you eating?"

Sometimes he wasn’t sure if this "little fool" was really foolish or just pretending.

On Friday, the kindergarten had arranged a spring outing.

The spring outing initially scheduled for last month was postponed because of rain and was now rescheduled.

Fortunately, the recent weather wasn’t too hot.

On Thursday night, the two families agreed to go to a nearby supermarket to buy snacks for the outing.

Grace Winter loved ice cream the most, but it couldn’t be packed in her backpack, so she bought her second favorite, jelly.

Hayes Edwards loved chips the most, so he bought a lot of chips.

"What is this?" Passing an aisle, Grace curiously pointed to a snack in a transparent package.

Mother Winter glanced at it and explained, "It’s spicy strips."

There were small transparent bags, and also large white bags.

"What are spicy strips?" Three-year-old Grace had never tried this snack.

Mother Winter didn’t know how to explain it, so she looked at Father Winter.

Father Winter thought for a moment and said, "It’s a very tasty snack."

Which didn’t really explain anything.

Seeing her daughter’s eager face, Mother Winter added, "Spicy strips are really spicy, Grace is too young to eat them."

Hearing that they were tasty, Grace was tempted.

But hearing her mother’s words, she hesitated, "When can I eat it then?"

Mother Winter said, "When you grow a bit older."

"Like Hayes?"

Hayes was two years older than Grace, but they didn’t actually look very different.

At least not now.

"It would be best to grow a bit more." Mother Winter added.

Grace nodded.

Then after a while, she went to find Hayes.

"Hayes, have you ever eaten spicy strips?"

Hayes was playing with his game console.
