No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1777: Daily Life After Marriage (5)
Hannah nodded.
What started as a casual set of questions ended with Evelyn Winter answering every single one of them accurately.
She even remembered her first meeting with Arnold Simmons, how many times they’d met, and the exact moment they made their relationship official—she was crystal clear about it all.
The responses came fluently, although her thinking wasn’t particularly meticulous, her brain not the sharpest, and there was a bit of a foolish "covering one’s ears while stealing a bell" innocence about her. But she truly didn’t seem like a five- or six-year-old. Instead, she felt more like...
Evelyn Winter wasn’t aware that her identity was on the verge of being exposed. She eagerly tilted her head up to look at Hannah. "Mom... Sister, when are we going home?"
She was hungry.
It was her first time being human, and she was still quite unused to it.
Lowering her head, she glanced at her chubby little hands, noticing a few dimples on the backs of them.
Turns out eating two portions of food really does make you gain weight more easily.
Evelyn Winter reached out to touch her own face, then patted her head.
Her head was still soft and fluffy.
This put her in a good mood.
Hannah stood to the side watching her odd little actions, her smile deepening. "Evelyn Winter, you have the same last name as me?"
"Of course!" Evelyn Winter nodded earnestly.
Her gaze drifted toward the ice cream she had tossed aside earlier.
It had already melted.
What a pity.
Hannah followed her gaze and chuckled. "Come on, let’s go get some ice cream."
Evelyn Winter’s eyes widened in disbelief, "Really?"
Hannah nodded and started walking ahead.
Evelyn Winter quickly followed.
"Can I go home with you now?"
Hannah stopped, crouched down, and pinched her plump little cheeks, her smile radiant. "Of course you can, little Gold Lotus."
Evelyn Winter: "!!!"

By the afternoon, it really did begin to pour.
The sudden downpour drowned out the city’s noise, and the roses outside the door trembled and swayed in the wind and rain.
Evelyn Winter was curious about everything. Seeing the rain, she dragged a chair over to sit by the window, her excitement palpable. Big Round dashed around her in circles, as if reuniting with an old friend after years apart.
Though it seemed this "old friend" had changed quite a bit.
Hannah came downstairs after changing clothes, and the moment Big Round heard her footsteps, it rushed over, circling around her anxiously while keeping its eyes fixed on Evelyn Winter.
She chuckled and patted Big Round’s head, reassuring it gently, "Hmm, I get it."
Big Round seemed to understand, plopping down on the ground, sitting upright, its goofy smile spreading wide across its face.
Evelyn Winter darted over holding a box of aeroplane chess, her face lighting up with dimples. "Hannah, let’s play aeroplane chess!"
One round of aeroplane chess left little Evelyn Winter questioning his entire existence. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Once again, Hannah rolled a six, expertly moving her blue piece a few steps on the board and landing perfectly at the finish line. She smiled and declared, "Evelyn Winter, I win again!"
Evelyn Winter froze, mouth agape, the die in her hand slipping onto the cushion, landing on a one.
"Want to keep playing?" Hannah leaned lazily against the sofa, propping her head on one hand, grinning at him.
The Gold Lotus in human form was still the same simple-minded and innocent system at heart, not particularly bright and prone to getting lost.
After losing more than ten rounds in a row, Evelyn Winter had scratched his hair into a chaotic bird’s nest.
But he refused to admit defeat. "One more round. Let’s do one more. I’ll definitely win this time!"
Hannah unwrapped a fruit candy and popped it into her mouth, just as stubborn as he was. "I don’t want to play anymore. You’re too weak."
"I’m not weak!" Evelyn Winter scratched his head, his eyes teary as he looked at Hannah, holding up one finger. "Just one more round. I know I’ll win this time!"
Hannah reached out to pinch his round cheeks, her eyes crescenting into a warm smile.
