No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1664 Arnold Simmons Extra (30)
Seeing Hannah unresponsive, he pushed his luck, "How about I let you hit me once?"
Hannah slightly curled her lips, "Hit where?"
He patted his own face with an unbearable arrogance, deliberately provoking, "If you’ve got the guts, hit here..."
Right here.
Before he could finish his sentence, a shadow flashed before his eyes, followed by a backpack being hurled heavily onto his face.
The boy was struck so hard that his head spun; he couldn’t steady himself with the desk and just collapsed onto the narrow aisle.
Curious glances came from the surrounding students, some even thought of helping, but the sight of Arnold Simmons’s icy demeanor made them promptly retreat back to their places.
The boy wailed as he lay on the ground, yet Arnold seemed as if it wasn’t enough, delivering a kick straight onto his ankle.
It was the exact foot he had used to kick Hannah’s desk.
The boy’s face turned pale, no longer carrying his previous arrogance, pleading repeatedly, "Stop, it’s my fault, I was wrong. I will never dare to do it again..."
"Go straighten the desk," Arnold withdrew his foot, his expression blank, his eyes as dark as the night.
The boy didn’t dare utter a word of objection, hurriedly stood up and straightened Hannah’s desk, and on the side, picked up the things on the ground as well.
Arnold stood aside, tossed the backpack back onto his seat, "Mute now, aren’t you? Don’t even know how to apologize."
The boy, clutching the face that had been smacked by the backpack, then said to Hannah, "I’m sorry, classmate."
Hannah ignored him.
Arnold spoke coldly, "Continue."
The boy’s face looked terrible, but under the pressure of Arnold’s gaze, he was able to continue, "I was wrong earlier, I shouldn’t have bullied you, shouldn’t have kicked your desk, thrown your books, I promise it won’t happen again..."
"Next time?" Arnold scoffed.
The boy hurriedly corrected himself, "Not next time, but from now on, it won’t happen again."
After finishing speaking, he turned his head to look at Arnold, as if asking if this time his apology seemed sincere enough.
Arnold looked at Hannah.
Hannah lifted her gaze to look at the pale-faced boy, "From now on, study hard and aim higher every day, and don’t think about cheating."
The boy nodded vigorously, fearing that responding too slowly would earn him another kick from Arnold.
Soon after, the invigilator arrived, the students who had been watching the commotion returned to their seats, and Arnold sat down as well.
His seat was in front of Hannah.
In the past, during every exam, he would take last place with a blank paper submitted, either sleeping or simply missing the exam altogether. This was the first time he was sitting in the second to last row.
The invigilator at the podium reminded, "This exam will strictly follow national college entrance examination standards, the cameras in the classroom are on, reminding you not to make any small moves. If caught—direct punishment!"
As the words finished, the bell rang again, the invigilator unsealed the test papers, counted the correct number of copies and placed them on the first desk, then the students passed them back themselves.
Arnold turned his head, placed the test paper on Hannah’s desk, and was about to turn back when she tugged at his sleeve.
The little girl smiled at him and mouthed a silent "Thank you".
Thanking him for helping just now. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
After speaking, she obediently lowered her head to start reviewing the test paper.
Arnold turned back, the corners of his mouth curving slightly.
From 9 in the morning to 11:30 at noon, the full two and a half hours of the exam, initially the rustling of test papers could be heard throughout the classroom, but as time passed it gradually became quieter.
There was even the sound of snoring resonating in the classroom.
Someone was sleeping.
The invigilator simply gave a symbolic tap on the desk as a reminder.
