Chapter 163: Chapter 163: Not Looking for Anyone Else

At six in the evening, it was the peak of the rush hour.

He usually avoided this time span for either going home or going out for meetings, but looking at the young girl’s sullen face and pouting lips, he knew she must be upset about the traffic.

His heart ached a little as he pinched the soft cheek of the young girl, "Honey, I will buy you a car tomorrow. Come whenever you want, no need to worry about the traffic."

Hannah smirked, her hand resting on the man’s chest, "Is Mr. Simmons referring to a bicycle?"

Arnold Simmons was taken aback, his eyebrows furrowed, he closed the door and led the young girl inside. "I’m not that stingy, since I am your sugar daddy, you won’t lack anything."

Having said that, he found a pair of slippers for her. Rarely any outsider came to his place, only his own slippers were there, along with some spares.

They were all men’s.

Hannah noticed this, her eyes glinting with laughter.

The slippers were almost half a size too big for Hannah, slapping the floor as she walked. But she didn’t care and leaned into Arnold’s arms, "Mr. Simmons gave me so much, isn’t there something he wants to take from me?"

Arnold Simmons held her, they both collapsed on the couch together.

The oversized slippers were thrown aside as soon as she put them on.

Arnold Simmons was looking at the rosy lips close to him, his gaze deep and his calloused finger gently touching her lips, "What I want, I will take it myself."

He thought for a moment and added, "It won’t help even if you refuse then."

Hannah glanced at the man in front of her with a bit of resentment, moving from his lap to pour herself a drink, "Mr. Simmons always speaks so nicely but never wants to touch me."

She took a sip of water, her lips becoming moist, her gaze looking at the man beside her particularly sullen and a little sad, "Mr. Simmons, do you dislike me?"

The man moved his gaze away from her lips, buttoning up his collar, with a helpless tone, "No."

Hannah still lowered her head, her curled lashes trembling, reaching out to touch her face, "Next week, I am going to record for ’Shining Star Journey 2’, so I won’t be able to see you."

Speaking so, she couldn’t help but sob a bit.

The next second, Arnold Simmons lifted up her delicate and enchanting face with his calloused fingers. The playful cat-like eyes were now shimmering with a layer of tears, looking extremely pitiful.

He raised his hand, brushing away the hot tears on her face, softening his voice, "Who said you can’t see me?"

Hannah, trying to suppress her crying, her eyes reddening, "The people from the show said so, they also said they would confiscate my phone, so I couldn’t contact the outside world."

Hearing this, the hand that Arnold Simmons had wrapped around Hannah stiffened.

Clearly, he hadn’t expected such rules in a talent show.

How could he not know about it being a behind-the-scenes person?

Who set the rules?

Hannah, still crying, was reaching out to wipe her tears when Arnold Simmons quickly grabbed her hand, took a tissue and wiped the tears on her face.

The young girl looked pitiful, her eyes were somewhat swollen. Although Arnold knew her tears were half genuine and maybe she was just acting cute to him,

He just couldn’t bear to see them.

It was a little upsetting.

Hannah, tugging at Arnold’s sleeve, her voice soft and tear-choked, "I’m going to be gone for many months, might you fall for another woman?"

Arnold Simmons answered seriously, "No."

"Really?" Hannah asked back, uncertainly.
