Chapter 154: Chapter 154: Enthusiasm

As Hannah was leaving, people inside the major hall were also making their way out.

After the concert, there was a dance party organized by the school.

Within this dance party, George River was undoubtedly the most conspicuous. Though approachable, and looking somewhat cultured and refined, he was accustomed to keeping a distant aura, showing little interest in exchanging pleasantries.

With this, it was his companion, Tiffany Lynch, who became the focus of the crowd.

She was beautiful and always carried an air of elegance, possessing an aura of a well-mannered lady of a prominent family. She was aloof yet worldly, able to converse with anyone to avoid awkward silence.

Everyone was saying how lucky George River was to have such a companion.

George River slightly furrowed his brows, and clarified, "She is my girlfriend."

Tiffany Lynch affectionately put her arm into his, appearing somewhat clingy.

The man seemed taken aback, gave a good-hearted laugh, made some polite conversation, and then left.

George River and Tiffany Lynch became the most formidable couple in the eyes of the crowd. It had been a long time since the Lynch Family fell from grace, and the scandal in those circles had led to a significant changing of the guard.

Indeed, in her early years, Tiffany was the apple of the eye for most people; but as she lost her support from behind, many forgot her. Life in the world of power and influence could be so cold that it made one’s heart quiver.

Tiffany Lynch certainly knew this, but she was not comfortable with the feeling. Once, as a young girl, she used to despise the women who clung to the side of men, but now, she had become one of them.

However, she was proud to think that she was not like those women, those playthings for men. George River truly loved her.

With these thoughts, her smile became increasingly enchanting. As she looked at the man beside her, her almond-shaped eyes radiated a tender affection.

Roy Yarn had been looking for Hannah ever since the end of the concert but couldn’t find her. From afar, he saw George River, and with his family’s instructions in mind, even if he didn’t particularly care for him, he still made his way to him and greeted, "Hello, Brother River."

George River, who took over his family business at a young age and flourished in it, was older than Roy Yarn by a few years. In contrast, Roy Yarn was devoting his energy to music. With these differences, they appeared to be a generation apart.

George River acknowledged him with a small nod, praised his earlier performance, "I watched you perform, outstanding."

"Thank you," answered Roy Yarn politely.

Both of them were not well acquainted with each other, and hence, there was not much to talk about.

Tiffany Lynch from the side came forward and eased the atmosphere. She looked at the awkward young man in front of her with a friendly voice, "Are you the violinist who performed on stage earlier?"

Roy Yarn looked at her, pursed his lips slightly, and replied, "Yes, that’s me."

Tiffany Lynch smiled brightly, "You play the violin really well. I also play the violin, but I am not as good as you are."

As she spoke, she displayed an attitude of humility.

Seeing her interest, George River did not mind further introducing, "Roy Yarn started learning the violin from a young age. His then teachers all deemed him a rare talent."

Upon hearing this, Roy Yarn shook his head, "I’m not as good as Brother River has described."

The young man seemed perpetually modest and polite, but he maintained an appropriate distance nonetheless.

Tiffany Lynch’s eyes softened further, her smile deepened at the sight of the young man in front of her, indicating that she wanted to get to know him better.
