No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 146: Informing the Parents
Edison Lynch looked up and met the familiar face of a young man.
In embarrassment, he pulled back his hand, then saw Hannah standing behind Roy Yarn, he mustered a roguish smile and winked at Hannah.
Hannah smiled slightly and then turned away.
Completely indifferent.
Edison Lynch felt somewhat dejected. He laughed awkwardly and said, "Roy huh, I didn’t expect to run into you here."
Roy Yarn pursed his lips and after a moment of silence replied, "Brother Lynch, I organized this concert."
Only then did Edison Lynch recall what his mother had been saying before he left the house.
About how the Yarn family’s kid won some award, was invited to perform here and there, and other praises.
In the end, she circled back to reprimand him for not being productive, only having eyes for pretty girls and not helping the family business.
He was so annoyed that he took his car keys and left immediately. Now seeing Roy Yarn reminded him of it.
Roy Yarn was a few years younger than him and they had met a few times in childhood. Although not very close, their families had business dealings, so addressing him as "Brother Lynch" was polite.
Edison Lynch also nodded in response, polite in his greeting, "Roy, long time no see."
After saying this, his gaze uncontrollably shifted to Hannah behind Roy Yarn. Unable to resist the stirrings in his heart, he admired her white and delicate side profile.
But the next second, Roy Yarn turned his body, blocking Edison Lynch’s line of sight, and emphasized, "Brother Lynch, I invited this lady."
Obviously, Roy Yarn didn’t want Edison Lynch to keep bothering Hannah.
But Edison Lynch failed to understand the implications in Roy Yarn’s words and instead, laughed even more roguishly, "Since we all know each other, why don’t you introduce me to this lovely lady, let’s get acquainted too."
As he said this, he tried to push Roy Yarn aside, but found the seemingly naïve young man to be surprisingly strong. His grip was firm, refusing to let go of Edison Lynch’s hand, his face turning red, "Brother Lynch, if you continue like this, I will tell Aunt Lynch."
This was the most serious threat the young man could muster.
And it hit Edison Lynch where it hurt.
He had just been set free and definitely didn’t want to annoy his mother again and get grounded. So he pulled back his hand, sounding impatient, "Roy, you’ve grown up but you’re still tattling to your parents just like when you were little."
With a flushed face, Roy Yarn’s voice was somewhat tense, "That’s because you’re going too far, Brother Lynch."
He was the epitome of a well-behaved young man, making it hard for anyone to want to bully him.
Edison Lynch had no choice but to drop the matter. Limping, he waved his hand, "Never mind, I have things to do. I’ll leave now. Lady, until next time."
Hannah turned around only to see Edison Lynch blow a kiss at her.
She frowned, thinking she should have stepped on both his feet earlier.
He was the most flirtatious man she had ever met, except for Jack Stewart.
Roy Yarn turned around and looked apologetically at Hannah, "Did I scare you just now?"
Hannah shook her head and asked, "Do you know him?"
Roy Yarn nodded, seemingly worried about something, he explained, "He is the only son of the Lynch family, we’ve known each other since childhood. We haven’t met much but Brother Lynch is not a bad person, he’s just... a bit of a playboy. Aunt Lynch is always worried about him. I apologize on his behalf... I’m sorry..."
