No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 145: Entanglement
Roy Yarn simply shook his head, uttering not a word.
The other person laughed at him, "Maybe she’s forgotten about it already, and you’re still here waiting like a fool."
Roy Yarn was angered, but he merely glared at him. He was of a quiet nature, and even when he was extremely angry or embarrassed, he couldn’t utter anything hurtful.
At most, he would mutter, "You’re speaking nonsense."
The man walked away laughing, leaving a comment behind: "I heard the newly succeeded Eldest Young Master from the River Family is coming today. Your two families have been close, don’t forget to greet him later."
The rituals of these high-society circles are the most annoying. They didn’t want to butter up to others only to be met with cold faces.
Being art students, they did have some backbone.
Roy Yarn simply replied and then looked up again.
Under the night sky, it was mostly people in formal attire attending the concert, but he couldn’t see that elegant figure anywhere.
He sighed softly and turned around to leave.
The next second, a familiar petite voice came from behind, "I told you no is no, can you please stop pestering me?"
Edison Lynch was dragged from overseas by his mother and was immediately handed an invitation. Apparently, his friend’s son had a charity performance tonight and he had to represent his family and make an appearance.
He was initially reluctant to attend, being free-spirited, he wasn’t cut out for these dreary concerts. But then he noticed the venue was the music academy.
The music academy, huh.
There must be lots of beautiful women in an art school, right?
With this thought, he came. But who knew that most he saw were either men or beautiful women who were already accompanied? He lost interest and was about to leave when a beauty walked right towards him.
And with just one look, his eyes were hooked. He had seen so many beauties in the past ten years, but this was the first time he had come across a girl who was as beautiful as a fairy.
One look and you would only see her—seeing her laughing so freely and lazily, when she casually raised her eyes they sparkled, she was a beauty of both elegance and charm, captivating and alluring.
Especially now as the little fairy was glaring at him with a hint of arrogance, her face filled with a touch of anger. She was even more attractive like this.
Hannah, somewhat impatient, grabbed her handbag and tried to bypass the man in front of her. However, he blocked her path again. Glaring at him, she said, "Sir, you are really annoying, do you know that?"
She furrowed her brows, looking absolutely adorable. Edison was completely smitten and put on his most charming pose, throwing a flirty glance at Hannah. He said, "Miss, may I ask your na...Ouch!"
Before he could finish his sentence, Edison felt a sudden, painful blow to his toes, causing his face to immediately flush red.
Hannah crossed her arms, a smile in her voice. She lifted her chin slightly, looking at him sideways, "I told you before, some men just never learn without being hit."
The arrogant demeanor that should have oozed arrogance was interpreted by Hannah as pure charm. Nobody could bear to blame her.
Edison thought the same.
Beautiful people always get some preferential treatment.
Hannah was wearing high heels, and she didn’t hold back with that kick.
But when he saw Hannah was about to leave, how could Edison bother about his aching foot? He hopped on one foot trying to catch up, reaching out to touch Hannah’s shoulder.
It wasn’t as soft as he had imagined, but rather firm.
Edison couldn’t help but touch it again when the next moment, he heard an embarrassed yet slightly angry voice in front of him, "Brother Lynch."
