Chapter 141: Chapter 141: A Narrow Escape

His white shirt wasn’t suggestive of restraint, but rather inspired an intense desire to tear it off of him. His whole persona was devilishly seductive.

Falling together into temptation.

Hannah had never imagined that a man could leave a woman with no room for retreat when he fully unleashed his charm, especially when that man was Arnold Simmons.

What on earth was he suggesting... Such suggestive words.

She turned her face away, attempting to avoid his overheated gaze. But in the next second, she was forced to meet his eyes again, her chin firmly held by him. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

She instinctively opened her mouth to plead for mercy, but before she could finish, she met his dark eyes, swirling with hidden tides.

In that moment, she knew words would be futile.

He seemed to sigh gently, coaxing her with a tender voice, "Shush, Hannah, close your eyes."

Like an enchanting spell, her eyes closed instinctively at the sight of his dark gaze. Tiny tremors shot through her curled up eyelashes as she clutched at the shirt on the side of his body with her petite hands.

Feeling her tense response, he gave a low sigh and took her icy hand into his warm one.

The man leaned down, moonlight flowed onto his body. His shadow fully shielded the person in his arms, leaving nothing exposed.

The somewhat cold touch was like sweet marshmallow; the silken threads dissolved soon as they touched.

Mesmerizingly addictive.

His movements were careful and filled with a possessiveness that was thrilling, despite the restrained strength.

Hoping to escape but with nowhere to run.

The voracious, predatory wolf king had caught his beloved rabbit and trapped her at his side.

To play with in his grasp.

A cherished treasure of love.

The hazy moonlit night is the most intoxicating.

As love deepens, everything should find its place.

Only the other woman had fallen fast asleep midway through the romantic setting.

With his clothes messed up, Arnold stood up looking at the honey-sweet girl sleeping peacefully in his arms. Listening to her soft breaths, his eyes were filled with love, but his face showed frustration, "You managed to escape once again, next time I might not be as easy going."

As he stood up, the sound of his belt hitting the floor made the girl in his arms shiver, and she drew even closer into his embrace.

Simmons chuckled, gently patting her back to comfort her, he carried her into the bedroom.

When Hannah woke up the next day, Arnold was already gone.

He had left a note, explaining that he had some business in the company and had left breakfast for her.

As soon as Hannah was dressed and in the living room, she could tell the truth in the note, given the hot breakfast on the table. He must have only just left.

And it wasn’t until she finished her breakfast did it dawn on her that since Arnold bought her an apartment, she needed to move out of her university dormitory.

With this sudden realization, Hannah froze with a bowl in hand.

Damn... How could she have forgotten this.

Hannah rushed back to the dormitory after finishing her breakfast. When she arrived, Jinlian was sound asleep, holding the pot of cactus.

Hannah saw that Jinlian had reattached all the cactus spikes, despite handling them clumsily.

Hearing some noise, Jinlian lazily opened his eyes and had a good stretch, "Master, you’re back."

Hannah nodded, "Mmm."

Jinlian yawned again, "What’s the time now?"

Hannah glanced at her phone,"Nine in the morning."

Jinlian nodded and closed his eyes to resume his sound sleep.

Only a few seconds later, he jolted awake to find Hannah right before him, "Master, you didn’t come back last night!"

Hannah was putting on her makeup in front of the mirror when she heard Jinlian’s startled scream. Startled, her hand jerked, smudging her eyebrow.
