Nine Nether Dragon Emperor-Chapter 352: Can We Help Him Advance Sooner?
"Ah? Yes, yes, yes!" The Old Wolf, questioned so suddenly, subconsciously agreed. But upon reflection, he felt something wasn't quite right. In that last strike, I didn't see any flaws in his technique, did I?
"Hahaha, we all thought too highly of him!" 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"Indeed, he's just a mere member of the Human Race!"
"The Human Race has had prodigies who dazzled the ages, but those are just legends! This guy doesn't measure up!"
The creatures all began to chatter at once, their worries put to rest. By the end, some even made sure their words reached Ning Xuan's ears.
Ning Xuan was no longer angry; instead, he became calm. Then, with a BOOM, his body shot forward like a cannonball.
His target was the Old Wolf!
The power of his charge was absolutely terrifying, no less formidable than his previous successful attack. However, the Old Wolf was well-prepared, and Ning Xuan's strike failed to connect.
"His Cultivation Realm has indeed improved," one of the Great Saint's disciples communicated telepathically to the other. "But just as the others said, he's pursuing Realm advancement too single-mindedly, putting the cart before the horse. His strength hasn't increased much at all!"
"Yes," the other replied. "I sensed a flaw in his aura, although it's very faint."
Ning Xuan's attack had, contrary to expectation, dispelled their doubts. This fellow's cultivation is rising, but the threat he poses is actually decreasing!
The two were secretly pleased, but they immediately cautioned each other not to jump to conclusions and to continue observing.
BANG!
Over on the other side, another confrontation erupted. It appeared to be an even match, but every being present could see that the Old Wolf held the absolute advantage.
"No more, no more! This old bag of bones can't take this kind of tussle. You are truly worthy of your title as a prodigy of the Human Race!" the Old Wolf suddenly declared, waving his hand as he withdrew. He wore a kindly smile, but his eyes held a glimmer of smugness.
Ning Xuan froze. After a cold snort, he resumed devouring energy, his face a mask of clear dissatisfaction and grim resolve.
"The little fellow is heading down a dead end!"
"He can't possibly think that strength is just built on one's Cultivation Realm, can he?"
"Hahaha, is this the Human Race? It's no wonder they are our slaves! They don't even understand that cultivation doesn't equate to real strength!"
Ning Xuan's determination to continue raising his Cultivation Realm was met with widespread ridicule and mockery. They then watched as if enjoying a show while Ning Xuan's Cultivation Realm ascended.
Seventh Layer Heavens of the Emperor Realm!
Eighth Layer Heavens of the Emperor Realm!
Although Ning Xuan's progress slowed the higher he climbed, advancing like this was still an absolutely unprecedented feat. Yet, the assembled beings paid it no mind, even when Ning Xuan killed one of their companions upon reaching the Seventh Layer Heavens and another at the Eighth. In fact, some creatures were now eager for a chance, just waiting for Ning Xuan to advance his Realm again before they made their move.
The wait grew longer and longer. Seeing that a great deal of time had passed without Ning Xuan breaking through to the Ninth Layer Heavens of the Emperor Realm, some grew impatient and shouted directly at him.
"Ning Xuan, can you do it or not? It's been so long, why haven't you advanced your Realm?"
Ning Xuan, looking thoroughly agitated, shot back, "Do you think advancing realms is like pulling radishes? This is the Emperor Realm! My speed is already fast enough! Wait... something seems off!"
Suddenly, Ning Xuan seemed to come to his senses and began muttering to himself. All the creatures pricked up their ears. When they heard Ning Xuan repeating "pulling radishes" over and over, they jumped in fright.
Damn it! We can't let him figure it out!
Immediately, several beings looked toward the two Great Saint disciples. The pair reacted instantly. "I know the reason," one of them said. "You've devoured all the energy here, so your cultivation speed has naturally slowed. Follow us!"
They then began to lead Ning Xuan deeper into the Chaos Boundary Sea. Soon, they disappeared from the other beings' sight. The remaining creatures stared at the spot where they had vanished, all of them smiling.
Some even said eagerly, "I hope he can raise his Cultivation Realm faster this time!"
"Yes, it would be best if he could quickly step into the Venerable Realm. Then we could fight him at the same Realm, and it wouldn't be bullying, hehehe."
This laughter filled many more of the beings with anticipation. After all, if he stepped into the Venerable Realm and they could fight him on equal footing, yet he still couldn't withstand a single blow from them, the sense of achievement would be unparalleled.
With this in mind, some of them grew impatient.
"Everyone, it hasn't been easy for this little member of the Human Race to get this far. Shouldn't we extend the courtesy of a host?"
"You mean..."
"I was thinking, could we find a way to help him advance sooner and become a Venerable?"
"That's an excellent idea!"
"I agree!"
"I agree as well!"
"The idea is good, but this is the Chaos Boundary Sea. Where would we find such a method?"
At these words, all the beings fell silent. It was the old lion who, after a moment's hesitation, spoke up. "I do have a method."
All eyes turned to him.
"Three thousand years ago, I chanced upon a method. It was rumored to have been created by a sacred dragon trapped in the Netherworld, designed specifically to gather and purify energy there."
"Such a Dharma exists?!"
All the beings' eyes lit up, and a glint of greed flashed in the depths of some. The old lion saw this, but he paid it no mind and continued, "This method requires an extraordinarily high level of physical strength. Even after three thousand years in seclusion, I couldn't master it. However, I did find a way for a group to use it together. I will now pass it on to all of you."
With that, the old lion actually recited the Dharma he had obtained, word for word.
At that moment, it wasn't just the other creatures who were listening intently. As time went on, even the Blood Ghoul Great Saint, deep within the Chaos Boundary Sea, reacted with a minuscule twitch of his ears.
"This..."
"Is this really a Dharma?" a being asked uncertainly, a long while after the old lion had finished.
They simply couldn't understand a word of it. It was like listening to a celestial scripture.
The old lion nodded with conviction. After acquiring this Dharma, it had taken him hundreds of years just to comprehend it, let alone practice it. This was why he dared to share it. The conclusion he had eventually reached was that only a member of the True Dragon Clan could activate this Dharma alone. Forget these creatures; he was certain that even the Blood Ghoul Great Saint couldn't claim it for himself if he obtained it.
"Everyone, please be patient. My three thousand years of seclusion were not for nothing. I will now share the method for activating it together."
The old lion immediately shared the collaborative method. He dared to do so because he still controlled its most crucial secrets. Those present were the true top-tier experts of the Tianyang Realm, so the method the old lion had taken three thousand years to figure out was, for them, quite easy to understand. Soon, all the beings nodded in comprehension.
"Alright, let's try it," the old lion said. "Everyone, be warned. This Dharma is extremely domineering, so do not take it lightly! There is a risk of your body exploding!"
After the old lion's warning, the beings all began to operate their Cultivation Technique. In an instant, immense energy was stripped from the surroundings, converging madly upon them. Some of the many participants hadn't taken the old lion's warning seriously, and their faces changed dramatically.
